Customization is at the heart of Airtable, allowing teams to create personalized apps and a tailored interface allowing easy access to relevant information and giving clear sightlines to the next steps. I like airtable is a very complete database and can be easily integrated with cloud tools, also allows to link my projects with google
I dislike it a little, its modular form, however its integrative feature allows a quick interface with the user
I organize any type of projects with airtable, from the tasks that involve simple operations, to complex operations such as the control of multidisciplinary projects, saving unproductive time
Airtable can function just like a normal spreadsheet that looks beautiful, AND it can add database capability to the spreadsheet. We end up using link to another record feature constantly.
"Views" feature gets confusing. Sometimes a bunch of random blank records get added if you're not careful. I dislike that their paid feature is per user.
We use Airtable for Inventory management, CRM, sales flow
I found that Airtable solves problems instantly. The ability to quickly, and I mean quickly, throw data into it and produce answers is astounding.
lacks referential integrity. you can't control that records aren't deleted. many things that I want from a data management syste.
Starting with no knowledge of Airtable I was able to pop the data in, add a map and plot 5000 data points for all my crews working on a big government project. I was able to save myself over $40,000 by being able to prove that other crews caused the trouble and not ours. It only took 3 hours.
This is one of the best free CRM systems I have come across in my 10 years of using different CRM systems.
There is a free version and a paid version
Able to provide forms to send to new clients to streamline inquiries
I like how easy it is to use. Easy to teach other team members how to use as well. Very intuitive.
The view from mobile devices isn't ideal. Much better to view from a desktop computer or laptop.
We are keeping our nonprofit rescue team organized and on track. This provides an easy way to track the status of each dog and cat we have in our care.
What I like best about Airtable it's its preexisting base templates for professionals from different domains. This gives a start-with planning approach when working with customers from different verticals.
I would like more formulas available and also templates from more industries.
Project management, budgeting.
I love the different spreadsheets or bases, but really the premium feature of blocks is the BEST because you can turn data into almost any visual format.
I wish I had all the options for free and I think the color customization option shouldn't have any 'premium' options that cost money.
Manages my entire project and countless tasks and information that goes with it.
Airtable allows different views of the tables to let each person view the data in a way that works best for them.
I'd like more in-depth information about formulas.
We needed to inform everyone about ongoing tasks and pay for multiple projects. Airtable let us streamline this process to reduce confusion and the time spent updating our records. We also use it for managing a mentorship project, and it has allowed us to approach our system in new ways.
I find that it is better for tasks like project planning and management than some dedicated tools in the area. I'm honestly having trouble finding the perfect fit for airtable within my organisation, but i just love airtable so much i am willing to keep trying.
Permissions could be better, folders. Api is too slow. There is a general lack of features because every feature they make has to be so perfect.
We use it for our sprint planning and for data sorting and filtering - we connect it with our live app and use it as an analytics platform.
Easy of use, excellent documentation, very reliable, no bugs (till now!)
1) A bit slow to load large bases. 2) Timestamp for record modification missing
Education tool for students of course "Software programming and Information Systems"
I hate working in excel and building databases. But Airtable is intuitive easy to use and customizable to my needs. I love Airtable!
The cost is a little high and I had some issues that took longer than I would have liked to resolve. But they were ultimately taken care of.
I am organizing all my projects, and visual archives using Airtable. I am more organized than ever before!
I love Airtable. It's hard to narrow it down to one thing, but I'd say its flexibility. You can literally use this tool to manage and organize any kind of project or data. You can give other users different degrees of editing access, so you don't have to worry about something getting messed up (like it might in a spreadsheet/Google sheets).
I would say the cost (if you have a lot of users, I imagine it can get a little expensive), but I am a small business so it's really cheap for me to use. And you can even get credit on your account for referring people, which I do all of the time!
I keep my editorial projects organized in Airtable. I am a content marketer who creates a LOT of content -- written and design -- for my clients. With the ability to categorize and sort data by client, contractor, status, etc., I can easily check on the progress of each task and generate custom reports. I am still learning all of the details, but it is SO easy to use and has been a major time-saver and sanity-saver for me.
Airtable is extremely flexible and customizable. It meets a wide variety of needs for me, both professionally and personally. I currently use Airtable at work to track memberships, plan our organization's full year calendar across departments, and manage a highly complex event with over 1,000 attendees.
While I personally find Airtable extremely intuitive, I think the variety of options are overwhelming to some less technologically adept colleagues.
Event planning and management - we track event sponsors and monetary commitments, the expense budget, marketing collateral, vendors and contact information Non-profit development - use Airtable to plan our full year calendar; the ability to include (and thus sort by) date, type, priority, etc. is extremely useful and allows me to easily see if we have set too many tasks for one date range and if we are doing enough of each type of task
Love the ability to create custom views for the data. Each team member can present the data in the way that works best for them, while keeping everyone on the same page and up to date.
There are a few field types that can be hard to comprehend, but the help on their website walks through everything very well.
Future planning and team collaboration.
Flexible, powerful, simple. We gradually moved all our workflows and data to Airtable.
Would love more options for two way sync with other apps and webflow CMS.
Fundraising, expense tracking, recruiting, managing team, managing projects, contact & email mangement, event registration and more. We have become 10x more effective with Airtable. It's like having an in-house software team.
Ease of use. Our users are not the most technical and we can ensure data security and consistency. We're able to automate to save time and remove entire steps of our workflow with Airtable.
Not much at all, we still need to dive more into the automation but the API documents look awesome
We were able to move our important data into a centralized location where we know it is secure and backed up - and now we can also collaborate removing multiple layers of single points of failure.
We like that it provides team collaboration. The input of our members will fill our database through a form. It makes secure and user-friendly access to the information through the gallery. We embedded it on our webpage, and it has a very professional look. All our team is highly satisfied with the results.
We would like to be able to customize more the format of our form.
Having a unique database where all the members can input data through the form without compromising the information.
We are impressed with how easy this software is to use. Notifications. CSV Import. Blocks!!!
We are hoping for more advanced features in the future. Integration with more cloud services.
This software has helped us align all of our data sources in one place!
The best thing about Airtable is that even with their free tier one can build a highly organized and effective back-end for any type of business and scenario. The value is evident as soon as you create your first table.
Even in the Pro plan the "Airtable" branding appears on the emails that go out to people when you choose the "Send To" record.
I have introduced Airtable to 3 different clients and we were able to plan product roadmaps, scrum, create a back-office CMS and sign up forms that allow us to save info and details into the Airtable.
The ability to quickly visualize data in a meaningful way without fiddling for hours in excel or having a good amount of experience with software like Tableau or the like. It's also incredibly easy to organize data in a way that is cohesive and sensible without being too overwhelming.
You can go too crazy. If this is your first time working in a simple relational database, the moment that it clicks, you can't help but think that literally every bit of data you have can relate to another in some needlessly complicated way. It's very, very easy to fall down the rabbit hole.
We use airtable for production scheduling, asset management, and planning. We also use it to expose research data to other teams in our organization so that it's clear why my team is making the decisions that we're making.
