Collaboration is a breeze with a group. It is easy to keep track of threads on topics. The assignable to-do list w/ built-in reminders are amazingly useful. As well as programmable regular reminders for those traditional things you ask for, like agenda items

Nothing really. It takes a good user/regular activity from at least one person to keep everyone active and engaged in learning the platform. After a while it becomes second nature for the group

The format and flexibility of BC are unlike any system I've tried. The BC team has always been open to suggestions and improvements to the system. BC is straightforward and excellent for remote teams; we are a 50/50 group. It has allowed us to keep projects on task, assign work to outside members, and set follow-up reminders. I'd highly recommend BC to any company, BUT like any system, I suggest there be a person in charge of that system and its structure. Without it, like any system, things can get lost.

I don't really have one. We've worked in the parameters of the system to make it work for us and become one of our most relied-upon company tools. If I had to pick one thing, it would be there's no discount for long-standing customers :)

If your team can use email, they can use Basecamp. It really is that easy. Ever client we being in is pleasantly surprised.

Basecamp makes remote work easy. We needed a clean and simple to use task list. We needed a clean discussion board, and we needed a way to organize our documents in a digital space that allowed us to comment and collaborate on each file.

Honestly, the best feature in Basecamp is the recently released Card Tables feature. It makes the process of completing tasks from start to finish so much easier than the list of to-dos.

There's not a whole lot I dislike about Basecamp. I wish the cards had the option of selecting a date range to complete a card, rather than a single date as it does now.

It helps me get through my day to day tasks and keeps me in close contact with my clients and the tasks they assign to me. Before Basecamp I was using emails to get everything done but now I make sure all my clients use Basecamp or I can't guarantee I will get their tasks done.

What I don't like about basecamp is that it is not in another language as we are bilingual, and our staff members are not able to use it and we have to train them in English to be able to learn how to use it.

As event planners and designers, Basecamp helps us keep our client relationships clear, and open, with good communication. It is a great tool to share info to keep all our team and our clients in the loop. I just love the message board and how it keeps threads topic-specific (with weddings mainly, there is so much communication involved, that having an easy way to track and find specific details is very, very helpful!)

Very comprehensive, I have been able to straighten out any clutter associated with my work. We have extensive experience with its functions and implement them regularly to structure any format that brings together the company's activities and projects. Teaching or assigning tasks to the group is essential. The software has a well-designed user interface; it is fast, simple and straightforward. Basecamp facilitates a more advanced visualization of projects.

Since my company's budget changes monthly based on how we allocate our resources, I wish the software was more reasonably priced.

We do a lot of preparation so that all team members can connect and do their part in the project based on their position and how it is supposed to work. The most significant improvement for the organization as a whole has been the efficiency of the workflow. In summary, I think it's great to have access to a program that prioritizes project management, as it is necessary for any company with a wide variety of tasks that must be coordinated to function effectively.

The commnication between our own team and the client's staff has become so much easier. We can share reports and discuss with our team before sharing it with the clients.

The mobile application can be improved. I tried using BaseCamp 2 app on an iPhone device but it's not the same as the web application. They could improve UX/UI.

BaseCamp makes it so much easier for our clients to upload files related to the project in a few clicks. The simple user interface allows us to organize everything and make notes to our own team and send updates to the client.

Honestly....I still struggle with why some people do not find the layout intuitive? Certain people still post in the wrong teams or just don't know how to use messages. Not sure if there is fix for this!

We have used Basecamp for so long that it is hard to remember what it was like before. In summary though, Basecamp solves communication problems...everyone is aware that the important notices, messages, plans, decisions etc are on Basecamp.

I would love built-in gantt charts and am unsure how to use the new "card table" feature alongside tasks. It would be great to have the ability to drag tasks to kanban style decks.

I have used Basecamp in my company for over a decade and love it. A complete tool with powerful add-ons where we put all the processes and tasks from the company in: from projects organization to HR announcements, training and procedures. Today I manage more than 100 projects in parallel using Basecamp in a very organized way. It's great that the plan does not charge for every new user or project, it's limitless! For the volume of projects we have, it would be unviable to pay for each project or user (because we are a small company with lots of projects). Everything you need on a simple license and that's simply great.

Some suggestions for the future of Basecamp from a daily user who loves the tool: The Campfire tool might be improved to accept audio and GIFs, especially for quick audio sent on a mobile phone. Also, it would be great to have a tab of all active Campfires (just like Whatsapp Web), where you can easily focus the conversations in one single browser window. Today, I can't fully substitute Whatsapp or Slack with Campfire (and it would be great if possible, in case of Campfire became more robust as a tool). Maybe even having a separated mobile app for Campfire, with usability focused on chat (as whatsapp), but integrated with the Basecamp projects, so we can keep all the corporate conversations on a unique tool. That would be perfect. The new kanban tool is pretty cool but might be better integrated with to-do lists (like the Tracked Add-ons), instead of having each card not connected to the task-list (or you use one or another). Also, Tracked has the tagging system that is very useful and for sure could be implemented on native Basecamp. When the native tool was launched, I thought I would be able to substitute Tracked add-on, but I could not. Also, it would be great if time tracking could be a native tool, without the need of hiring expensive add-ons (charged per user) to do the project's time tracking. Also, a native Gantt chart tool would be nice! :)

Organization and project management.

Base camp is a versatile product for collaboration, project management and its planning. The interface of Basecamp is so easy to navigate. My favorite thing about this product is automation with Zapier. It automates task progress tracking and creating documents record, which helps me save a lot of time. Assigning tasks to any onboard user is easy.

There is not much customization option in the dashboard to design them according to specific projects.

Our project planning and execution have become unified by using Basecamp as it helps us to create a roadmap for our projects. Additionally, it has allowed us to collaborate and work more productively while working outside the office. Using the profile search ability I'm able to assign tasks to coworkers directly from the dashboard.

Basecamp simply always works. I've been using it for over 10 years and have never run into a bug. It's amazing.

The Basecamp app is one of the best ways to keep track of and update all projects we're working with. It allows us access through boards and a calendar view, which helps provide visibility for changes happening within our product and keeps employees informed about any updates or new information coming out related. We are relying heavily upon this tool because it enables efficient management over each team member's task list within these various types/projects they may have been assigned -you'll never miss out again if your company needs some fresh ideas or just wants better communication between teams members

Super easy to use and navigate. The API that we have integrated with has a lot of benefits that really help us manage our workloads across multiple teams. We've tried using other platforms such as Trello - which is good, but it has a very steep learning curve for the team and does require a lot of patience to get going

For the price, there are too few features that other competitors have. When a new feature is announced, it typically takes a long time for it actually to be implemented.
