Bluehost has different pricing schemas to suit your needs. Most of its plans provide unlimited disk storage. It provides efficient domain hosting. It is extremely secure and has a lot of security features.
Bluehost is not self-sufficient and requires several add-ons. Its customer service is not always readily available. It is expensive as compared to most of its competitors.
Bluehost is quite user friendly and provides unmetered websites with all email accounts. It has different types of hosting plans. It has special support for e-commerce sites.
It has a pretty simple interface, and is well known so tutorials are easy to come by.
Seems a little dated with the platform design. Needs a little facelift in parts, but that is only aesthetic.
I used Bluehost as my hosting service for about 2 years for a simple Wordpress theme website. Pretty simple to get things setup, and easy domain transfers.
Bluehost has an icon-based, user-friendly control panel, which is busy but is logically organized to make it relatively easy to find what your are looking for. Their help articles are well written, and online chat customer support is friendly with occasional wait times.
They have eliminated their support ticket system, so you know have to use the chat feature. Some help articles could also cover more situations. A recently wanted to change my php version, and the help article didn't address how to do that on a shared hosting account. I contacted support through their chat system, had to wait over 5 min. while they connected me to another person, who changed the php version for me, and told me (unlike the Help article) that I could not do this myself through the control panel, but needed them to do it for me. They were polite and efficient - other than the wait to connect.
Offering previous web development customers an easy-to-use web hosting experience they can mostly manage on their own when I no longer administer their websites.

I personally found their email system to be very poor and basic. It changed recently but I'm still not happy with a current version as it's lacking previous features (such as templates and drafts). I also find it hard to reply with existing templates. Definitely needs to be improved considering how big of a hosting provider it is. I believe most people choose different email provider because of blue hosts poor quality emailing system.

I like that if you do not know anything about web hosting and domains they walk you through everything. I would 100% recommend them for anyone who cannot host their own website.
The price really jumps and there are definitely cheaper options available elsewhere.
They made it easy to purchase the domain and hosted it successfully as well as easily connected to our CMS sites.

I think that Bluehost used to have better customer service before they got bought by a larger company - I also think the site could be a little more user friendly and updated.

The dashboard can be a little difficult to navigate if you are unfamiliar with web terminology. There's not a dedicated support person for your account, so if you have any issues you can chat online or call into a call center for technical or account support. When purchasing a domain - I made the mistake of not initially purchasing the domain privacy and was bombarded by phone and email from solicitors offering web related services. I went back and purchased it, but still continue to receive e-mails related to this.
We are able to purchase multiple website domains and have them forward to our two main Bluehost hosted websites. We bought domains that would be related to our business. We also use the hosting services through Bluehost. It's nice to have all of these services in one place - Bluehost even sends reminders when your domain names are up for renewal.
I like the different types services that they offer. There was so much that I did like over the years, but they recently made changes that have left me a dissatisfied customer. I am looking for another host as I type this review.
They recently changed their tech support and it is now severely lacking. The people they are using do not know what they are doing and messed up my website without wanting to fix it. Took several days and hours on the phone to get them to fix the mistakes they made! I also dislike the pricing. When I first signed up, the prices were reasonable. Each time I renew, the prices are higher and higher, although they offer lower prices on their websites. According to them, sales and promotions are not available to current customers. It is a bait and switch since they email customers the promotions.
