"Not 100% reliable but is very helpful when it is working properly."
What do you like best about Copper?

I like that Copper offers the ability to track emails between clients/prospects & internal team members. Being able to add companies / people / opportunities is the other main function we use. Reporting is great to have as well.. when it's accurate.

What do you dislike about Copper?

1. Emails do not always sync for no apparent reason. It's an issue. 2. The "search bar" function doesn't work as well as I'd hope when searching for companies or people. I could type in 1-2 whole words connected to a company name and they may not show up. It's caused many duplicated companies to be built by our team members.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Seeing how many leads/opportunities are open with my sales team & seeing how many have been closed and won/lost. I also like being about to reference activity for my sales team (number of emails sent, tasks, calls, etc). For my reps, it's incredibly important to see email activity that should be synced so they don't accidentally reach out to a prospect that has already been emailed - because this doesn't work 100% of the time, my team doesn't trust using just copper to document emails.

"Not bad, but missing key features AND pricey"
What do you like best about Copper?

I really enjoy their CRM! I honestly think this is one of the best and most intuitive CRMs that I've used. I love that it automatically adds company logos (which makes it a lot easier to search visually), and I love that you can so easily sort through both people and companies.

What do you dislike about Copper?

There's no internal calendar or agenda, which is very disappointing. While they sync with Google Calendar, it's frustrating that there's no way to see all of your deadlines/tasks/events/etc. in one place. In addition, you end up needing to swap tabs constantly just to see what's coming up. Also, because there's no "upcoming" list or any way to see your week at a glance, it means you can't really get a sense of what you have to do in terms of your CRM-related tasks. Lastly, since there's no internal calendar, you can't connect events/deadlines to specific contacts. This means that you can't just click on a contact and see upcoming deadlines or click on an event in Google and see which contact or opportunity it's linked to. Copper says they don't have a calendar intentionally, since Google is such a strong tool, but I find this not really a great answer, as you can't do tasks or contacts on Google Calendar, PLUS they already have your Gmail visible within the platform. It seems like consolidating the sites you use helps your workflow a ton, so it's strange that they don't have one. As I work in the events/entertainment industry, this was a dealbreaker for me, unfortunately.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a lot easier to get a sense of my clients and make connections between them and the work I had to do!

"Poor customer service and program flexibility"
What do you like best about Copper?

Works well with Gmail and pretty easy to integrate.

What do you dislike about Copper?

The pricing model is broken. When I joined, I included myself with two others in our company using the tool. I wanted to try integrating UpleadCopper and you need the $50.00 per month program to be able to use the APIs. I can not upgrade alone, but everyone in the program must upgrade to the $50.00 per month. Trapped.

"Average CRM"
What do you like best about Copper?

Prosperworks is a handy platform since it can sync right with your email without having to BCC anything. It serves its purpose and bring free, there's not much to complain about.

What do you dislike about Copper?

The software is glitchy and sometimes the page has to be refreshed to load accurately. It also doesn't have as many features as would be useful. It often doesn't sync well with my email.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easy to keep track of emails within a basic sales pipeline or even a reminder to check in with someone. Keeps my inbox nice and clear without things getting lost.

"Account Downsizing Issue with Billing"
What do you like best about Copper?

It easily integrates with Google and Gmail. Super easy to use.

What do you dislike about Copper?

If you need to downsize your account, the system will not allow you to do it and will say contact support. When you contact support, they responded with "now that you downsized, we need to bill you for another month before the change will take place". Seems like a tacky way to make a few extra bucks. I had loved used Copper up until this point. I hope they enjoyed the few extra bucks they made, because it literrally paid for this negative review. My advice, just allow people to use and pay for what they need.

"Switched from Copper CRM to Prospect CRM"
What do you like best about Copper?

Copper has a wonderful email tracking system that allows you to easily track conversations down the road by automatically syncing with Gmail suite. We also like the pipeline set up that has columns and stages that are easy to track.

What do you dislike about Copper?

I disliked the lack of support we had from Copper's team the most. After countless failed attempts to solve issues within our system, we were only ever pointed to a blog post via chat. There is no phone number where you reach a human representative that is willing to help sort through their software with you. We had major issues with Companies and Contacts not acting like parent and child contacts, therefore not syncing notes or emails from the contact also into the company. We needed some other help with reporting and could never get assistance, ultimately leading to our swap.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Copper didn't solve our problems, which is why we are no longer using their CRM platform. We lacked education and training from the beginning which was a slow struggle that only increased as our business did.

"Unethical Business Practices..."
What do you like best about Copper?

It's great that it connects straight into Google Workspace, that was why I originally signed up for it in the beginning.

What do you dislike about Copper?

#1 - They very shadily and unethically lock you into an annual contract despite signing up for a monthly plan. They won't provide any type of reasonable customer service or support at all when you go to cancel because the functionality and value of the system is nowhere near the high cost. Finally, they will point out that buried in their Terms of Service (!) is where you will be notified that you're actually on a contract for a full year. So at this point, I'm apparently stuck paying $500 USD for 4 months for a tool I'm no longer using that is bringing me no value because we switched to a much more powerful and affordable CRM. The way that their sign up process is mimics almost every other tech products (ex. sign up free, no credit card required, etc.) but beware... #2 - When I was getting *some* value when we were using it, it was incredibly complex and clunky to set up the connections and automations. I was constantly dealing with tech support and it ate up a lot more of my time than I expected. Again, this was nowhere near worth the high price you're paying per month for the system, especially when you compare it to so many other systems. #3 - I have honestly never dealt with a company that sets their terms in this way and then also provides such horrible customer support for someone that has invested a significant amount of money with them. Instead of trying to find a solution and providing some type of reasonable options for a resolution, just saying no and then essentially ignoring you. I truly hope they make their terms, support and sign up practices more clear because as you can see from the reviews, I'm not the only one who's been duped and had issues with this. Unforunately, it seems like they say they do, but continue to operate the same. Please go choose a different CRM, you'll be much happier and have more money in your bank.

"Not ready for prime time"
What do you like best about Copper?

the flexibility. We can make significant customizations to meet our current needs. Given the current malfunctions it is hard to highlight positive features.

What do you dislike about Copper?

The big selling point of Copper is the integration with Gsuite. Unfortunately, fully 1/3 of our users do not connect with G-suite. For two months Copper has been "working on" this issue. Still not working. After working directly with support and getting no response we have had to resort to Twitter. It feels like the nuclear option.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were looking for a more streamlined CRM experience. Unfortunately, because of the connectivity issue, we have yet to realize any benefits.

"Not for me"
What do you like best about Copper?

It's simple, very basic, and affordable.

What do you dislike about Copper?

I used other CRMs before. This is not the worst, but it is definitely not the best. I don't feel like it can do the complex reporting I am used to as a salesperson. My team is constantly confused about what we can and cannot do with it. It's basically too simple to be as useful as I need my CRM to be. I end up working off of excel when I thought those days were over.

What problems is Copper solving and how is that benefiting you?

CRM. The best feature is it seamlessly links my emails. Salesforce has actually been worse for me in the past. I've had to either send emails from SF, or bcc salesforce from gmail. Prosperworks can create leads from your emails, but it still doesn't do quite the same email marketing you can do on Hubspot as far as I know. We can keep track of what stage an opportunity is in and who owns it, etc. It's possible there's a lot more customization with PW that I am not aware of, but we are using it for basic high level sales management.

"BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT "
What do you like best about Copper?

These guys as they're VERY tricky, you can't cancel your subscription through the protal you have to email them and then they ignore your emails or take forever to reply - all the while they still bill your credit card!

What do you dislike about Copper?

BEWARE OF DODGY BUSINESS PRACTICE! These guys as they're VERY tricky, you can't cancel your subscription through the protal you have to email them and then they ignore your emails or take forever to reply - all the while they still bill your credit card! When we want to cancel a service/product we usually go into the settings and simply cancel, right? Well the con-men at PropserWorks don't allow this - if you want to cancel the product you have to email them, wait a couple days for them to respond with a whole bunch of questions as to why you want to leave, what features are important to have in a CRM etc. You take time out of your day to give them constructive feedback, and then they ignore you AND STILL BILL YOUR CREDIT CARD 7 days after you've made a cancellation request I've now resorted to these negative reviews to make sure nobody else falls into their trap, as they've stopped responding to me suggesting that there won't be a refund.
