I really appreciate having templates for emails and examples of how to do things - for someone who is a relative novice this is a game changer. I also appreciate their attention to revenue earned.... after all we're in business!
I don't know if it's me or it's Drip but sometimes tech overwhelms me. The good thing is that I can easily reach out and ask for support - their help desk is great.
Communicating with my clients and prospective clients.
Excellent ability to automatically segment users based off triggers and actions they take. We use this to notify us internally as well, with emails going to us when a user needs more engagement.
Some of the user interface can be overwhelming, with a long learning curve.
We're providing extremely relevant emails, promotions and touchpoints to our customers that we we were never able to before. This allows us to time messages for just the right time, building our open rates and click through rates. It also allows us to import unlimited custom fields, which is a major differentiator. We can upload a CSV of our customers and data to utilize in all of our campaigns, workflows, and filters. They also added WYSIWYG html email design recently, which opened a lot of doors for us to design and execute custom emails that represent our brand. Integrations with other platforms is a critical aspect of all this, and we work in tandem with lead captures that place people into the appropriate funnels. It's also great for generating evergreen lists of customers or prospects for internal touchpoints outside of email--like phonecalls or mailings that we do manually. All of this leads to hyper-personalized, relational marketing that helps us achieve our goals.
The way you can create your own template from a scratch is very easy and intuitive.
Mobile responsive design optimisation...
I'm solving problems connecting with my audiences and now i can track their needs through the tool.
Shopify integration is top notch. The ability to create automated systems that tie in with ad campaigns is so easy compared to something like Marketo or Shopify.
I can't use it with my B2B websites. Drip is designed as an eCommerce email solution, and in fact they won't let you sign up as a customer if you're trying to do something with your B2B email campaigns.
Automated customer emails and targeted email campaigns tightly integrated in with our customers purchasing and browsing habits. We're seeing way higher CTR and conversions with our campaigns. I also love that we can use this for our abandoned cart emails from Shopify to customize these more.
Drip makes it easy for me to reach the right people in my audience with the right offers. Their workflows and automations are seriously the best in the market for Ecommerce and Shopify stores. (I say that as someone who has worked in email marketing for over a decade).
Support windows for live chat used to extend into the night - which was great when I was pulling a late night on a project. Now? Support ends at 5pm Central (which is 3pm my local time) 😕
Drip helps me solve the problem of sending the fight offers to the right people on my list. Drip has helped me sell more and make more money.
all inclusive marketing platform -- from website tracking to email broadcasts, etc.
broadcasts build could look a bit nicer
tracking people who visit our website to better target them.
eCommerce and automation are Drip's bread and butter but it just does everything really well. My favorite part is the Shopify integration and the way you can segment your subscribers based on their actions online. We have a lot of product categories so the way you can create rules based on the way customers interact with your website is crucial. We are a small business but Drip helps us market like we're bigger.
That I don't have time to take advantage of all of the amazing features.
We can now market the right products to the right people for our brick and mortar. We also have been able to use a great abandoned cart workflow for our eComm side that has yielded excellent returns for us.
It is super user friendly and intuitive to use. It has a lot of advanced features that will help you scale your setup. In terms of functionality by rules and automations, the sky is the limit - it can pretty much do anything you want it to.
The visual builder is still somewhat limited in terms of customizability. It is not possible to have a multi-currency setup in one account. It lacks options to easily reuse customer information from Drip to personalize your website.
More direct and personalized communication with our customers. The ROI from our email effort has more than tripled since we made the switch to Drip.
Drip is the only platform that could handle the complex automated workflows I wanted to build. The UI is easy, fast, and functional. The variety of options for sorting contacts, setting up rules and triggers, and performing bulk operations is exceptional. The visual builder is better than any other that's integrated into an ESP, that I've seen, and supports conditional formatting and dynamic content. Last but not least, support from our account manager is easy to access and always extremely helpful!
The split testing feature is fairly limited - it's easy to split test subject line, send time, and "From" name, but you have to do some DIY wrangling to split test email content. Getting support on technical issues with the API (we built a custom integration to Netsuite) was somewhat difficult and frustrating, but worked out in the end.
Drip has allowed us to set up longterm nurturing campaigns that are reactive to a users actions in near realtime, and contain up-to-date and personalized information about upcoming local events, on a national level.
Before using Drip, our teams would always write some internal "follow-up email" script to send out engagement emails to new users. This "worked", but we were always stuck with a simple system that was hard to update and expand. In comes Drip... wow. Drip supports all of the "logic" we already needed for sending emails, plus many many more options. Our follow up email campaigns are so much more flexible, and on top of it all, we now see metrics like open rate and click rate! This, finally, allowed us to see if our emails were even working and to test out different versions of the same email. After Drip, our response rate increased by over 150% - on just the first email. Drip also has a ton of integrations, like Stripe, that helped us add "delinquent payment" emails, "thanks for upgrading" emails, and so many other cool things were never able to do before. Their support, also, is top-notch!
If you're doing this manually right now, there are 0 downsides to using Drip.
With Drip, we can follow-up with users under a multitude of conditions: new signup emails, abandoned account emails, upgrade/purchase emails, etc. Additionally, we now use Drip to determine what emails work and what emails don't work - that's something we didn't have before.
