Hubspot's ease of use is by far superior to any other platform I've used for social media. It's user friendly ability allows you to learn and use the program to the fullest without months of training to get started.
I think user reviews should be taken into account more frequently to improve the platform further.
Scheduling and post tracking is so important for consistency on each social media outlet. Scheduling posts and tracking has allowed for post improvements for our audience which ultimately has led to an expansion in viewers and interactions. We've got a "buzz" within the association now which is pretty awesome.
Campaign names attest as utm to url automatically
Cant target geography cant upload more than 4 images GIFs on facebook dont work url shortened comes out scrambled
able to schedule some posts
Clean easier to use ans understand interface
The culture, pricing policies, and treatment of customers has massively deteriorated. I know a few people that work there and there is enormous pressure to make the business profitable and that is resulting in predatory sales practices, poor service, and sneaky, untransparrnty pricing.
It solves the issue of ease of use and clean interface
The campaign tracking is pretty slick! Great for marketing funnel tracking into a CRM. Their accounting team has been very patient with us as well.
EVERYTHING ELSE. This is the WORST customer experience I've ever had with a host.
We weren't informed of a major feature set loss when we downgraded and it cause business disruption for several days.
Nothing I've liked coming from a non email automation side
All the integrations Ive used had issues. The LinkedIn integration is non existent as far as I'm concerned due to all the hoops you need to jump through. LinkedIn is already a hard to use platform (no bulk features, clunky editing, etc) and the integration adds another layer of complication and manual work whenever something needs to be updated
Has not solved any problems for me outside of email automation No benefits realized.
That's very hard to say with the service we are receiving.
Metro Fun Center began its relationship with HubSpot on December 1st, 2020. Our contract/subscription was auto-renewed on December 1st, 2021. Attempts to get information on downgrading our account or canceling our account began in mid-December, unsuccessfully. On January 5th, 2022, we sent an online email for assistance because no calls had been returned and I (we) had been placed on hold several times to no avail. We entered into an “online chat “ with a rep who gave us our first experience with HubSpot Customer ‘No’ Service. After this conversation, we landed with a gentleman whose title is Senior Customer Success Manager (a title that belies what he actually does in regards to a customer being successful, or maybe it is to assure that HubSpot is successful in NOT assisting their customers when they are not happy with HubSpot). Metro Fun Center has spent currently upwards of 50K for a CRM that we are not fully utilizing and are unable to utilize. This can be evident in our past and current usage. HubSpot, if they were truly concerned about the success of their customers and were forward-thinking then they see when customers are not utilizing their product and would reach out to them to offer any assistance. But their customer's success again is NOT their goal but bleeding their customers for monthly payments IS their goal. And they are clearly succeeding. Once an auto-renewal is done then a customer can not even downgrade to a lesser package which would be nice especially if the higher, more upgraded package is not being used already. This would be helpful considering if a customer still wants to use part of the package but not with all of the upgrades. As massive of a ‘machine’ that HubSpot is, their practice of not allowing customers to cancel a subscription without a penalty is horrible and awful for the business that they are supposed to be helping grow. (This also was NEVER explained or covered in any conversation that was had prior to us wanting to downgrade/cancel HubSpot). The growth of the customer base is supposed to be the core strength of HubSpot. They are supposed to be assisting their customers to grow and become prosperous but instead, they are stifling the small/medium size businesses that come to them for assistance and they are acting like mob henchmen who come around the first of each month and collect their “protection” money. This is sad! This is horrible! And again from a company whose service they offer is to help business to grow. And from a person whose title is Customer “Success” Manager but their customer base gains NO SUCCESS only stress, NO RESOLUTION only rhetoric, NO CUSTOMER GAINS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS but financial gains of leaps and bounds for the company.
None
Good workflows, pretty user family......
Support level is extremely low, extremely.... They're sales people also are very dishonest
Everytime the company promise you something in one of their packs you don't get it and you end up need to add more and more upgrades and eventually you spend $1000/m for basic features
It's hard to say. Perhaps their CRM. There wasn't really anything I truly loved about the platform as we had to keep using third-party tools to do most things. I used the Pro level plan across all of their hubs. For example: ▪️We still use a separate sales ops platform because theirs isn't very customizable/flexible. ▪️We still use a separate CMS because the HubSpot CMS was very inflexible and not at all a good choice for modern companies. ▪️We still use a separate calendar scheduler because theirs is extremely inflexible and lacks a lot of basic features (e.g. you cannot even duplicate a meeting type). ▪️We still use a separate chat application because theirs is very basic and lacks the ability to collect an email before you start a chat. ▪️We still use a separate automation tool because theirs is clunky and outdated. ▪️We still use a separate customer service platform because theirs lacks many modern features and is clunky. ▪️We still use a separate quoting tool because theirs lacks the ability to customize templates (especially for line items). ▪️We still use a separate tool for social media management because theirs can't handle a lot of post types across platforms and their tracking is also horribly inaccurate for native posts. ▪️The list goes on.
I used the Pro level plan across all of their hubs. The main thing I don't like is how the tool can do most things "okay" but none of them exceptionally well. Every time I turn around there was some basic feature or functionality that HubSpot was simply incapable of handling well. For example: ▪️You can send emails vis the mobile app but you can't reply to emails via their mobile app...which honestly left me speechless. ▪️You can't attach files in emails via the mobile app...this is in 2021-2022 mind you. ▪️You can't add rich text to emails via the mobile app. No bulleted lists, numbered lists, etc. ▪️You can't CC/BCC people in some areas of their email app. ▪️You can't post to social media via the mobile app. ▪️You can't duplicate meeting links to then customize them. ▪️You can't customize forms and such all that well—they won't even let you edit them with partial HTML/CSS/JS. You have to make the entire thing in HTML if you want any advanced customization that keeps things on brand. ▪️You can't load their forms inside of JS driven popups, modals, etc. on your site. It simply breaks HubSpot. ▪️You can't customize your deals dashboard all that much in SalesHub. ▪️Their forecasting capabilities are very clunky and half-baked. One thing that consistently disappointed me was the overall lack of modernity. It felt like I was still stuck back in 2015—the web app is very outdated, clunky, and lacks modern quality of life features like keyboard shortcuts, a command bar, etc. Everything you need to do in the app takes half a dozen+ clicks. You'll spend a ton of time working on work and not getting more important, impactful items, accomplished.
I was trying to solve the problem of needing to use several apps integrated together. HubSpot promised it could do this—that dream turned out to be a fantasy.
This product is tough to use, and it tends to be very glitchy. On multiple occasions, hubspot would delete contacts that were in my Dashboard.
I don't like the layout of this product; it is extremely hard to find tabs, and creating email sequences is way more complicated that it needs to be.
I don't remember solving any problems with this applcication.
Great follow-up from the sales rep named Vajra King. But when I actually needed his support, he was not remotely helpful. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of.
I am disgusted by the customer service. I spent over $10,000 to access the CRM software. I hired an admin assistant referred to me by Vajra, who also was not reliable to complete the project I paid him $1000 for. I also referred HubSpot paying clients. HubSpot will not be there when you need them. Absolute horrible company with no moral code. I will never recommend this company to anyone I care about. I will refer my enemies to HubSpot so they also get ripped off.
No problems were solved. But they did take over $10,000 from me.
Hubspot is great if you have a marketing person who can manage it for you. It is incredibly easy to use. However, if you are a small business, it is too big and unnecessary for what you need - despite what the slick sales people tell you!
BEWARE THE AUTO RENEW! I missed that the next payment I made would extend my contract for another 12 months. The invoice was disingenuous and didn't CLEARLY state that this was the case. Read the fine print of your contact because if you change your mind, they are not forgiving.
Easy email and landing page build but too big a system for a changed business thanks to covid and now they are sending me broke insisting that I have signed up for 12 months without realising.
Its easy and simple to handle. Even novice can run the tool
The email campaign tool is really bad and they don't provide proper support. Even after multiple calls they are not providing proper solution for the issue.
Customer Journey and campaign management
the sequences feature it useful for connecting with clients
its buggy sometimes and they dont fix it
easier to reach people
I work in Marketing, and Hubspot has helped manage all of the Content like blogs and helpful with providing SEO suggestions. Also, it can deliver the Ads data across Facebook and Google in a more concise way, which is understandable by everyone else in the organization. Most Important, Thankful to HubSpot Academy for providing helpful courses through which I have learned a lot.
What I dislike is sometimes the UX feels a bit off when browsing other than that I don't have major complaints.
Problems that HubSpot Marketing Hub is solving are that it has helped manage all of the Blogs and its SEO, Landing Pages, and its Data, All Marketing Campaigns such as PPC and Facebook Ads. One of the significant benefits for me is managing all the data of website visitors and leads with the help of list creation which has further been helpful in Email Marketing.
The software has many features and is one of the more complete platforms at this price point.
The support and sales team is awful. They threaten you with contracts on the renewal and, if you don't sign them until midnight, they just spam everyone on our team. AWFUL AWFUL.
Marketing automation
Great for organizing a mailer for a small business.
Their website plugins are terrible. I decided to purchase the one year subscription as I really enjoyed the mailer aspect. Soon after I downloaded the contact widget and forum to my website and both reduced the quality dramatically. As soon as I removed the hubspot Plugin from my website the overall quality increased by 10%. (The plugin itself is too invasive) So I decided to discontinue their use. After about 2 months (Smoothly operating web contact was the entire point of purchasing the subscription) After reaching out to them with this issue and asking to cancel my subscription they informed me that they do not have a refund policy. All of that being said, I do understand that I committed to the subscription but I also run a small business, if it were me I would have some sort of refund policy for dissatisfied customers.
Customer contact information organization
The platform it's self is great. We're able to do nearly everything we need in workflows without use of zapier.
Renewal sales process has been a miserable experience. We are in the B2B events industry and hit very hard by COVID and our Hubspot rep has been aggressively negotiating to increase our rate for the exact same services. Our initial contract did have a 56% discount off sticker prices so I'm not really surprised at the methods they are using for renewal but asking a company to increase their spend for the exact same services on a historic bad revenue down year for our industry isn't right. I have wasted so much time going back and forth by email (Not once have they offered to schedule a call to understand the position my business is in and the current needs of our organization) and it's become very obvious the ONLY thing they care about is getting a renewal contract signed with an increase over the previous contract. They have not once asked anything about our business, or even tried to dig in and see if there is any value that HubSpot could add to justify the 10x cost over something like ActiveCampaign or even simply justifying the removal of the sweetheart deal (56% discount). I truly hope that we just managed to get a terrible renewal manager and that the rest of Hubspot doesn't treat their customers as transaction as ours has. We have decided to move on from Hubspot and will not be returning.
Contact scoring Workflow automation to move opportunities Newsletters
Very little but I'm sure that for the right organization, this is a perfectly capable tool. My impression is that organizations driving significant, web-based, lead generation activities where they are looking to accelerate movement through or out of their purchase funnel would find value here. In my mind, you need a lot of web-based volume and velocity for this tool to make sense.
I found the client service, or lack thereof, to be absolutely unacceptable. Previous leadership of our organization selected and "stood up" the tool and, upon analysis of our utilization, we hadn't touched the service in quite a while. As a new senior executive at our company, I reached out hoping to engage with some sort of client relationship manager and the person "assigned" to our account was unresponsive and after pinging them multiple times, they finally engaged but seemed put off by it. I explained the situation and that before making a determination on the tool - I believe that the selection/implementation of any tool has as much to do with its success/failure as the tool itself - I'd like to better understand what we are and are not using and how we might get more value out of it. HubSpot set me up with some sort of onboarding/client success manager who seemed more focused on running through their playbook (i.e. making us fit their solution) than really getting to know our business and helping us figure out how to make the solution work for us. In addition, there were several questions we posed around integrations with other systems (e.g. sales effectiveness tools) and the answer was most frequently we don't have anything but you could build a custom solution/ Subsequently, we canceled the service and are likely to make a full transition away from HubSpot... Net net, if it directly aligns with your requirements, out of the box, it could probably work for you.
Right now, none.
It was easy to navigate and customer support was responsive.
This tool to me is not an enterprise grade solution, it feels like it was made for small mom and pop shops. The integrations with other tools, mainly Salesforce, are weak at best. In a way it feels intentional, as a means of pushing the agenda of using their CRM solutions (which I was pitched on). The reporting might as well be non-existent. It is not even close to parity with a CRM like Salesforce, so without a system to push your data out to for analysis you won't find much here. While it is easy to navigate the tool, administering the tool is a nightmare. Especially if you are inheriting it from a team that may not have kept it as clean as best practice would dictate. Things live in places you would never think to look or don't make sense. They asked us for additional money so that we could spend more money on ads, boy did that feel like a shake down. It seems like at every turn there is a new fee or service begging you to sign up if you want to continue. It's like a bad cable contract, you feel like you got your money's worth those first 12 months then all of a sudden in year two the price somehow doubles to maintain the service. At the end of the day, I think if you're a small team, who needs a easy to use, all-in-one solutions its a good buy. If you want to add any complexity to your business it falls flat. Like all things that claim to be "All-in-One," being good at a lot is at the sacrafice of being great in key areas
Not really solving to many problems for us.
It has a nice looking user interface, that is how they get you to switch to the product. It is easy to sell your boss IF YOU JUST LISTEN TO THEM TELLING YOU YES IT WILL DO THAT! They claim to be able to do all kinds of things, and possibly so, IF YOU SPEND A FORTUNE ON ALL THE THINGS THEY SELL INCLUDING HUBSPOT SEQUENCES, AND HUSBPOT SALES, AND AND AND JUST GIVE THEM 1000S OF DOLLARS EACH MONTH AND IT WILL GET YOU A TON OF PROBLEMS! The people who work there are about half of them are actually nice and want to help! THE OTHER HALF ARE NOT! They are either sexist who think you have to hire an outside company to move your contacts or they are telling you to do it wrong! and wasting 1000 hours of your time or like the one person who is changing positions at the end of the month and Lord only knows what I will do when that happens, her name is Amy and she is the saving grace of this company! The chat support is useless, they have never been able to answer a single question for me, even just where do I find this! They do have where someone will call you, but the calls I have gotten are from CHINA! And when I complained about the lack of IP addresses the lady calling me from CHINA explained it was to accommodate other countries! WHY IS AN AMERICAN COMPANY NOT WORKING FOR ITS AMERICAN CUSTOMERS!??!! What I am guessing is that the developers who are apparently out of their minds and have no idea how to do the job of making a CRM customized to people who actually DO WORK! THEY DO NOT HAVE IT SET UP TO PRINT LETTERS! YOU CANNOT JUST PRINT THE EMAILS BECAUSE YOU CANNOT TURN OFF THE HEADER AND FOOTER! THEY WON'T LET YOU !! YOU CANNOT PRINT LABELS EITHER!! YOU HAVE A CRM THAT HAS HUGE INABILITIES TO DO THE SIMPLEST OF THINGS!! PRINTING LETTERS AND LABELS SHOULD BE A GIVEN AND THEY LIED TO ME DURING THE DEMO AND SAID IT WOULD DO THAT!! I RESEARCHED THIS PRODUCT FOR A YEAR AND A HALF DOING DEMOS AND TALKING TO PEOPLE AND EVEN ATTENDED INBOUND CONFERENCE TO SEE IF THIS WAS A GOOD PRODUCT!! AND I FOUND IT WAS ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS THAT IT WOULD DO THE BASIC THINGS YOU NEED IT TO DO ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE EVERYTHING THEY SELL. EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING SALES PEOPLE TOLD US WAS ONLY TRUE IF YOU UPGRADE THE PACKAGE AND BUY THIS PRODUCT AND THAT PRODUCT!! IF YOU BUY EVERY PRODUCT IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK I GUESS BUT YOU WOULD BE SPENDING LIKE $10K PER MONTH!!!
EVERY SINGLE DAY IS ANOTHER PROBLEM! YOU CAN'T PRINT LETTERS! REALLY A CRM THAT DOES NOT PRINT. SO YOU HAVE TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO PRINT LETTERS! You can't access IP Addresses of contacts that submitted forms, SO YOU CAN'T BLOCK PEOPLE in CLOUDFLARE OR IN WORDPRESS PLUGINS!!! You cannot drop people into workflows where they are at in the workflow process, so what was one workflow in other CRMs is now 30 workflows for you to build! You cannot simply set up an internal form to trigger a workflow! You have to put it onto a web page (SO THEY EXPECT YOU TO BUILD A WEB PAGE FOR EVERY INTERNAL FORM YOU NEED!)! You only get 5 TEMPLATES for emails! ONLY 5! FOR THE COST OF $800 a month!! you cannot move people to another step in a workflow by skipping something manually, NOPE you have to pull them out and then build a damn workflow that is where they are in it! You can't do so much it is exhausting! EVEN THE THINGS THEY ADVERTISE WORK TOGETHER DON'T UNLESS YOU UPGRADE! Can't use texting with PlusThis unless you upgrade and add Sales (Another $800 per month) so you have to delete all that work where you had used PLUSTHIS for YEARS WITH ANOTHER CRM and get a new company that does it. YOU can't set up things to be simple and to work, NOTHING IMPORTS TO THE CRM the way it should! NOPE! YOU WILL SPEND ABOUT 1000 Hours doing it and showing the agent who is helping you move over to the system (After you have them move you from the sexist guy who won't show you how to do anything because your a woman and he wants you to hire a RUSSIAN COMPANY to do it so you wasted 2 weeks with that crap and then got moved to another person who is nicer but who has you do the spreadsheet that takes 1000 hours WRONG,>> AND HE DOES NOT TELL YOU THAT DESPITE BEING SHOWN IT 15 TIMES! UNTIL YOU FINISH AND TRY TO UPLOAD IT AND THEN YOU HAVE TO DO IT OVER A DIFFERENT WAY!!) AND THEN WHEN YOU FINISH THAT PART THAT IS WHEN YOU DISCOVER THAT YOU CANNOT PRINT LETTERS (OR ANYTHING) SO WHAT NOW, NOW YOU UPGRADE YOUR ZAPIER ACCOUNT (Which COSTS MORE MONEY AGAIN) SO YOU CAN CONNECT ZAPIER TO GOOGLE DOCS AND PRINT THAT WAY, BUT EVERY TIME ZAPIER MAKES AN UPGRADE IT STOPS WORKING AND YOU HAVE TO DO IT OVER AGAIN!!! Next you get to make the workflow that runs for two years and is all one workflow in other CRMS into 67 different workflows because it can't let you make one, no each step in the work flow in the previous CRM (that cost ONLY $200 per month!!!!), has to be made separately because you cannot chose a step to put the person into, you cannot move a person to different step in HubSpot either. I am telling you this was supposed to take 3 months, it has been an entire year and it has been an absolute HELL!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH!! RUN!! AWAY!!!
It should have been simple, the hope was that I would be able to check for duplicates by phone number and make my life easier, but NO!!! NOT EASIER!! CANNOT MASS MERGE!! HAVE TO DO EVERY SINGLE ONE INDIVIDUALLY!! IT IS BAD TO TRY TO USE THIS! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY! the product is just bad. I can check for duplicates by phone number but have to merge every single duplicate ONE BY ONE! NO MASS MERGE!! Other cheaper products are better, they at least work like they are supposed to without having to hook up a thousand different other products (that each costs another fee for this and another fee for that) to make each thing work. HubSpot at least needs to realize how to make this user friendly for an administrator. I have never seen anything like this! EVER. I have NEVER been so DISAPPOINTED and yet FELT SO TRAPPED WITH A PRODUCT IN MY LIFE. I put in so much work it is like I should have recognized they were never going to be okay and walked away when I was only 1000 hours into this! INSTEAD I HAVE DEDICATED A YEAR OF WORKING LATE AND WORKING WEEKENDS TRYING TO MAKE AN INCOMPLETE PRODUCT WORK BECAUSE THE SALES PEOPLE LIE TO YOU ABOUT WHAT IT WILL DO FOR WHAT PRICE! THEY CAN'T PRINT LETTERS OR LABELS!! (WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CRM CAN'T PRINT???!!) MAYBE IF YOU HAD NOTHING IN PLACE THIS WOULD BE GREAT! BUT IF YOU HAVE A SYSTEM YOU HAVE BUILT WITH OVER 100 CAMPAIGNS (Workflows) THEN DO NOT DO IT!! REALLY!! They told me I could have this up and running in less than 3 months, the people who got us to sign the contract said "oh given how much you built in other harder to set up systems this should be simple and you should finish in less than 3 weeks", but the average is 3 months! NO WAY THAT CAN BE TRUE! JUST NO WAY!! EVERY SIMPLE THING IS JUST WRONG, JUST WRONG!! I CANNOT WRAP MY MIND AROUND HOW NOTHING WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD!!! Just simple things that should be just common sense, wanting to print a letter, nope spend 3 weeks finding your solution and it still does not work then go through customer service until you get the one person who has a clue and she helps you find a solution that does not cost you 100s per month, to just be able to print letters, and still lots and lots of things like TEMPLATES ARE LIMITED TO 5! WHY??? WE can't have simple templates because we are not spending an extra $800 per month on the SALES PRODUCT! WHY CAN'T THEY GIVE YOU 10 TEMPLATES? OTHER CRMs give you as many as you want!! Some give you a limit of 20 or 50, BUT 5?????? THIS IS JUST INSULTING!! HUBSPOT IS A SCAM AND A RIP OFF AND IT SHOULD BE CRIMINAL TO DO THIS COMPANIES AND PEOPLE!! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OTHER PEOPLE ARE NOT LOSING IT WITH THEM!! DO THEY JUST NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS EXPENSIVE TO NOT DO ANYTHING CHEAPER SYSTEMS DO???? HONESTLY!!! AND THE COSTS ARE EXPONENTIALLY HIGHER THAN OTHER SYSTEMS!! EXPONENTIALLY!! WE THOUGHT GETTING VIDYARD AND CONNECTING THAT IS GOING TO MAKE THIS WORK BETTER, BUT THAT HAS NOT PROVEN TO BE SO EITHER! WE ARE STILL SETTING UP THAT COMPONENT AND HAVE NO IDEA IF THAT IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER NIGHTMARE THAT WILL INFILTRATE OUR WORK LIVES FOR WEEKS OR MONTHS!! I HONESTLY THINK THIS SYSTEM IS THE BIGGEST SCAM AND THAT IF PEOPLE HAD LIVED THROUGH THE LAST YEAR OF EVERY SINGLE DAY NOTHING DOING WHAT I WAS POINT BLANK TOLD TO MY FACE IT WOULD DO THEY WOULD AGREE AND BE READY TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT IT TOO! PLEASE RECONSIDER IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE CRM SYSTEMS! LOOK AT OTHERS ON THE MARKET! LOOK AT INFUSION SOFT! WHILE I GET IRRITATED WITH A LOT OF THE THINGS I CANNOT DO WITH THEM LIKE DUPLICATES BY PHONE NUMBER, I CANNOT IMAGINE THAT I WOULD HAVE LEFT THEM FOR THIS AND THE PRODUCT FROM THEM IS SO MUCH MORE ROBUST THAN HUBSPOT MARKETING AT 1/4TH THE COST!! 1/4TH THE COST!!
It's fairly easy to navigate and at the surface level, the UI is okay.
- Sequences limited to 5 emails - best practice is 10+ (makes you wonder if any experienced salespeople were involved in design) - Every contact must be manually added or removed from a sequence - bulk actions limited - Contacts/ companies/ and deals must be manually connected - Too many duplicates - no automation to remove - Takes a TON of effort to pull accurate reports and lists because so many fields are not required when data gets input. (took me weeks to move accounts in my territory to my name because not all had the city, state, co name, or other complete or correct). Continuous scrubbing required. - Clearly designed for SDRs and prospecting - not for AE account management - Cannot track emails effectively - no way to avoid read receipts of your own emails. They expect you to do all emails/calls out of HubSpot which is not realistic - I will continue to use Outlook. - Connections to Outlook, Gmail, and Office365 are confusing and break - I've had a ticket in for over 2 weeks to fix my connection with no help - Email strings do not load previous emails - you have to scroll and scroll to look at past emails in the same conversation - Customer training is outsourced to BlueLeadz - when asking why Hubspot does something in a non-intuitive or in a cumbersome way, they will say "I think we're working on it" or "I agree, it's not great, sorry" - research shows the same issues raised years ago Save yourself the headache and go with a CRM that's scalable and designed for account management over prospecting and mass marketing.
See above. Only benefit is that I have something, which is better than nothing.
Lots of compatible tools in one place and works immediately.
Constant changes to the interface and the grading make it difficult to stay up to date with. It requires constant retraining and certificates expire so need retraining for small changes in features. Costs lock you in for 12 months with 90-day notice periods.
Clients who currently use HubSpot trust us to integrate with other services such as Wordpress, Mailchimp and Publish Interactive etc
It's easy to use and the professional version is very performant and has great tools included. But you pay a very high price for this too.
The starter package is cheap, but useless. Most things you use are not included as the starter package is only a teaser to move you on to professional or entreprise.
Marketing automation
nothing, it's truly terrible. They try to bake the system look nice, and it generally does...but it doesn't actually work to do the flows that a company needs.
Everything about the way this product is about upselling. They don't try to solve problems or create value for the customer, it's all about getting you enough into their ecosystem to upsell you. Once you start using it you'll see the nothing actually works until you but the next tier. Then, once you buy that, the process repeats. It doesn't actually work for any started purpose unless you pay for the most advanced tier. And then, as your business grows, they'll upcharge you for more contacts and more whatever bull. They care more about creating lock-in than creating value.
Automating responses to website contacts, improving SEO, and improving ads. Unfortunately, I got none of those things.
The software, if it works - it's great. But now for some reason, they started cutting functionality which really impacts the use and they don't listen to their community begging them to stop.
In this thread in their community forum https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/No-Location-on-activity-feed/idc-p/292014 there are 13 pages of customers asking them to return the feature they've removed, but they don't seem to care.
This was an amazing insight on open emails and how my inquiries are treated. I knew when my email is open and I should or should not follow up.
Sales people are comfortable with it. We have multiple platforms it would be nice if there was one platform where everything could be stored for data purposes.
It's disjointed and an extra platform to aggregate data from.
Certain presentations with video are not compatible.
The literal only tool we found valuable for our company is the social media scheduling tool, and even that was limited
HubSpot promised us an easy-to-use platform for marketing and customer service, which could not be farther from the truth. Everything from sending an email newsletter to trying to set up templates was unbelievably difficult, and when we asked for help, we were told by HubSpot support that they "didn't know." Using HubSpot negatively affected our email growth because emails were either not sent or sent multiple times, creating an annoying user experience for our customers. We spent hours trying to work with customer service and support to fix issues, send emails, and overall just use the platform, and we were never given any help. Instead, we were forced to figure it out ourselves because no one seemed to ever have answers for us.
We wanted to use HubSpot to create a seamless CRM between customer service and marketing so we could track everything in one place. It created more problems than it ever solved.
As hopeful as we were based on the promises HubSpot had made, there was zero takeaway of anything positive from my experience with them. We did not receive the solutions or support we had been guaranteed.
The sales team promised us the world and delivered very little. They assured us that Hubspot would integrate with some of our programs when, in reality, they did not. We had to look for a workaround for services such as Yotpo and Moz. We would have had to use a Zapier integration if we were to continue. (Sales team’s promises contradicted account managers promises, both contradicted FAQs and learning center) - We were told that Hubspot would work with Zendesk. After starting the program, we quickly found it did not work with Zendesk and we would have to purchase Hubspot’s Zendesk integration tool for this to work. Numerous broken promises, terrible/non-existent customer service. The entire platform crashed upon sending the first email and no one from Hubspot responded to our numerous requests for urgent help for over 24 hours. This was inexcusable. Never again! Death Wish Coffee Company holds itself to the highest standards when it comes to product quality and customer service. I am writing this review in hopes that anyone considering HubSpot does not make the same mistake we did.
It only created problems. Solutions were at the bottom of their list.

Their customer support during our on-boarding phase was horrible. On the day of one of our routine on-boarding calls HubSpot had a system wide crash, we understand these things happen and assumed we'd get an update during our scheduled call. Conversely, our on-boarding rep emailed an employee, not the manager, that our scheduled call was going to be rescheduled due to not all of our team being able to make the call -- which was news to us. This happened 15-min. before that scheduled call. I'll rephrase that for the purpose of it sinking in. The assigned on-boarding rep. for a paid-in-full ~$100k/yr client reached out 15-minutes prior to a weekly scheduled call via email, to a non-critical team member intentionally, to reschedule a recurring weekly call. In the middle of a day where HubSpot's platform appeared to be experiencing a system wide crash. The justification for the reschedule? That another one of our team members “had not accepted the email invitation for that call.” There was no acknowledgement, update, or mention of what was going on with their platform, let alone when we'd find out. My dog has more accountability after getting into the trash than HubSpot. ----- "We integrate with that!" - HubSpot "Unfortunately, at this time we don't." - That ----- There is nothing intuitive or straightforward with their platform. We were sold on the fact that it was A: geared for B2C ecomm. and B: that we'd be up-and-running in "no-time". A: No, no it isn't. Build a functional "Welcome Series" automation from scratch sans a PHD in HubSpot's Knowledge Center in under 30 minutes and you can tell me I'm wrong. B: It's 2019, "no-time" quite literally means "no-time", not 6-months. ----- By rushing us through the sales processes, once they closed they very clearly did not care (see anything above). They front load their excitement, willingness to help, flexibility and just plain professionalism during and after the sale. *This CANNOT be stressed enough*
This is a perfect example of how HubSpot has created problems, verse solving any.
I like the 2 days a month when it actually works.
Every other day when it does not work. The emails sometimes take months to write because the website is so slow. Other times, the email tracker will never work. My favorite one is when other contacts information will accidentally get mixed up in another leads profile. If your employer is willing to spend more money on a platform that actually works do that. This program is such a headache. P Try this: Plant a tree and at the same time launch hubspot. Time which one takes faster to grow/load. Spoiler: the tree always wins.
Its a CRM tool you know what it does
