"Unable to Cancel. Multiple Credit Card Billings."
What do you like best about iContact?

The service worked fine but they won't let me cancel.

What do you dislike about iContact?

They won't let you cancel. You can't change your plan online. You can't remove your credit card. You can't cancel online. You can't cancel by chatting with their agents. They don't respond to email. They say that you can cancel on the phone, but they never answer.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

sending email

"Glitchy, outdated, and generally buggy"
What do you like best about iContact?

I came into a new marketing position at an events-based company. There were leftover templates pre-created in iContact by the previous marketing associate. I liked the fact that I could just reuse these templates, or use them as a working grounds for customizing succinct messaging with relevant information, which I assumed would be more efficient for campaigns. I was terribly wrong.

What do you dislike about iContact?

The editing features on iContact are outdated. The image upload has a 200k limit. The image upload was glitchy when loading. The text formatting was glitchy (issues with bolding text). The draft save didn't always work. Sometimes it saved. Sometimes it loaded previous versions. This caused severe issues when sending emails. I've caused customer support several times about these glitches. A customer representative from iContact actually told me that because of recipients recognizing the server information of iContact, over several years time, it may be likely that the unopened emails would eventually move the iContact server (our company) into the junk mail folder, reducing the open rate of our subscribers. When asked if they had created a solution to correct for this issue, they had none. Today, a previous draft email made its way to our recipients, instead of a current email. My hope was that the email could be retracted. I called customer support to explain the issue, and he said that he could not retract the email for me. When I finally told him I would switch to MailChimp, or other similar providers, he said "I will go see if I can retract the email." He left me waiting on the line in anticipation of a potential solution. Then, he came back on the line and told me that there is "no possible way for any email marketing company to retract an email." I asked him if he worked for a third party customer support agency, because he should already know, if working at iContact customer support, that there is no possible way to retract an email there, instead of offering it up as a potential solution. He said he worked for iContact.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Marketing for events. Marketing automation. Clear communications. iContact presented issues against many of our goals.

"Very bad Consulting service and Customer service"
What do you like best about iContact?

Integrations of many services in one online platform.

What do you dislike about iContact?

The consulting service was horrible. Consultants rotate too much, are not very professional, and do not seem to have the experience and skills you would expect from a consultant. The customer service, at least regarding Account Executives, was also not very good. I complained about our consultant and nothing was done for months until the account executive was replaced. They also rotate too much. Additionally, I had to spend a lot of time at the end to document all of the work done by the consultants during the year because the account executive didnt believe us when we argued that they were owing us consulting hours that the consultant never worked.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly social media management and email communications.

"Great looking UI but frustrating editor."
What do you like best about iContact?

The organization of contacts and ease of navigation. iContact makes it easy to add and edit contact entries. I also use the email tracking extensively. It provides a lot of information.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I am constantly running into problems with the editor. Lots of bugs using the Chrome browser that make any text, image, or content editing very difficult. Freezing, jumping my cursor around, and moving boxes after by itself are the main problems. The contact search tool is also much too specific. It won't find someone without the correct capitalization for example.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our database is all about volunteer retention and communication. iContact helps with that.

"I have to pay for no service and lost over 8hours of working time."
What do you like best about iContact?

If nothing is working because of their bad service what should I like? And to cancel the contract is not possible .... No service and you have to pay... Easy money making machine...

What do you dislike about iContact?

Bad service. Since one week I like to send emails and to create a list. Immediate after I had paid they had disabled my auto responder and my list. Because I need the permission to use my contacts list after I had collected them through a free high value book. I have to write on the free download book button that I will send them after the free book some more free offer...even they can cancel all the time. I had disagreed with this option and then they offered another option to send a request to them if they like to continue .... But this never had worked, instead nothing is working anymore... And to cancel the contract is not possible .... No service and you have to pay... Easy money making machine...

"Use MailChimp or HubSpot... they are both way better."
What do you like best about iContact?

This tool sends out the emails to my clients and connects.

What do you dislike about iContact?

Everything. This tool has the worst templates and does not provide the stats that I want. Also AB testing on emails is horrible.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Email connecting with clients.

"If your client is using this ESP, run!"
What do you like best about iContact?

There is not much to like about this service. The price I suppose, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for."

What do you dislike about iContact?

Everything. They spoof. Their deliverability is horrible. Reporting is lacking. The UI is dysfunctional. Good luck building an email with their platform. I would not recommend them to anyone.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?
