The platform is easily configurable. Just watch the webinars and post on the message board if you have more questions.
Nothing bad just takes a little time to watch the webinars.
I needed a CRM, Insightly's is cheap and easy to configure.
It's easy to learn and our teams use Contacts, Organizations, Opportunities and Projects extensively. I personally use Tasks to organize top of mind initiatives.
We're finding it very difficult to remove bad data in an automated way. The contact data within our instance is likely 40% bad and I'd like the functionality to upload a string of email address to retire matching records. I have checked with customer success multiple times and the feedback is being considered.
We're using it to better understand the company's pipeline in conjunction with QuickBooks activities. It's also serving as a traditional CRM database.
Linking feature to capture relationships between our supporters and their Members of Congress.
There's no ability for our supporters to take action through Insightly, it's just a database/CRM and not an advocacy platform.
We are solving the problem of trying to identify a database that will allow us to house constituent relationships within an advocacy platform, although without the action component.
We have been using Insightly for a couple of years now and are very happy with it's functionality. It is clearly laid out and easy to understand which makes it a good choice for young organizations who may be using a CRM for the first time.
It is lacking in visual drivers - would like it to be easier to view progress at a glance at the group and individual level
We are using it to drive our heavy business development and partnership pipeline across multiple industry segments.
I use Insightly to manage contacts and email templates. Insightly is not a beautiful tool, but it does what I need fairly well. Adding and searching for contacts is easy. The email templates are nice, and Insightly reports delivery, open rate, and click rate statistics, which is essential. I don't use the tasks or projects tabs because I use dedicated tools that I am happy with. Insightly has iOS and Android apps, but I have not tried them yet.
Insightly is ugly, and the navigation is not always intuitive. It provides a few color themes, and none of them are a joy to behold. While I love having the open rate for my email templates reported, I don't think that Insightly does enough to warn users against using these rates in place of an A/B test for making decisions.
I am using Insightly to track contact information for clients and leads. I also use Insightly to send cold emails from templates.
I appreciate how easy it is to organize your leads and contacts and the customization of the tasking requirements you can apply to these sources.
I find that the gmail extension feature definitely has some misses and through Murphy's Law it always happens on that 1 email you want to refer back to down the road.
Insightly has allowed me to easily sort my leads and contacts, attaching to their files all emails and shared documents in order to have a single source to look at in order to assess the entire relationship and where in the sales process it might stand.
I really enjoyed the user interface of Insightly. Was easy to navigate around the website, and getting information about each individual contact was convenient. Specifically, one of the features that proved to be invaluable was the tags feature. Was really cool to organize contacts by how I saw fit and not have to work within specific, sometimes rigid, criteria that may come with other CRM platforms.
Maybe it was because I simply didn't know how to do this, but I would have liked to be able to integrate my contacts into other features of Insightly, such as Events, Tasks, Calendar, Opportunity Reports, etc. Instead of just being a place where I could house my contacts, I would like to have been able to check off events they went to or are going to, specific tasks our organization has with that contact (send them report, email their assistant, etc.) - things of that nature.
A big problem we face is being in contact with a bunch of different people from all across the industry (and beyond), and it can be tough sometimes to organize all of contacts and leads we may have. Insightly efficiently solves this problem by providing contact information at our fingertips and allowing us to stay organized as we continue to grow. Instead of shuffling through emails or asking other co-workers, it's great to have a standard company-wide method of dealing with leads and contacts.
Insightly is a great too that I use on a daily basis to organize tasks and keep track of projects.
I would like to edit and/or move tasks in groups rather than individually. Often times due dates change for multiple tasks, and it would be nice to change them all at once.
It's great for keeping organized with your current projects, and where they are in your pipeline. I really like the way it integrates with gmail so that you can turn emails into tasks.
Simple UI, easy to use and free, integrates with Google apps for business
Pipeline forecasting is not as intuitive as it could be.
Simple sales forecasting and tracking, sharing of contact informaiton
Tasks, Pipeline creations, and reports are the areas I think are built out well
Contacts are a hot mess! Our org is having a very hard time. We focus on the Org, and we can't email to org emails etc and our contacts weren't done properly.
Keeping track of the organizations and linking to their businesses is helpful. Our projects pipeline works well
The service from the Insightly team is great. The tool itself is flexible to adapt to your needs; also, helpful to have Marketing and CRM in the same place. I haven't had much experiences with other CRM tools, though, but so far and after a couple of years of using, complains are minimal.
Not super happy about the fact that you need to pay extra for some of the most interesting integrations (App Connect). In some cases, you may only use 2 or 3, so it's hard to justify the full cost.
Data storage and organization centralized in one place.
The functionalities and organisation of the programme.
Creating a report can be challenging to understand
It makes sure no leads or opportunities are forgotten about, being able to follow up with customers easily
The ability to link items and have overviews of all active projects, for example, is very useful. The fields are easy to fill in and customize. Not sure how good competitors are.
It often takes many clicks to get to where you want. If you know what you want, it is easy to find, but sometimes items can be categorized in different places - the ability to link items (e.g., projects and opportunities) helps with this.
It keeps all our projects in one place and allows for easy tracking. The automatic reminders, etc. help to keep us organized and act as a safety net in case something is missed.
Insightly works well as a CRM Keeps track of several different types of pipelines and is flexible to meet our specific needs Insightly is the only CRM I have used, so not sure how this compares
Learning how to take advantage of all the features is a chore. I basically stick to what I know, but I understand there are many features that I don't know. This is similar to my top of the line Microwave -- all I use is the "add 30 seconds" button. It is too much to learn how to use all the microwave features, and in the same way it is too cumbersome to use all the Insightly features.
Keeping track of leads, opportunities and existing projects is super helpful Getting reports is relatively easy That is about all I do, but as mentioned previously I'm sure there are many more features that can be used.
The determining factor was that we could fully sync Insightly CRM fields with our Google Workspace groups, users and calendars. That allows us a fairly seamless outreach with our member database.
The email marketing builder has been challenging. We have to create newsletters in another tool and copy/paste them in HTLM into Insightly. The smart merge functionality is also time-consuming.
We are able to centralise all our member contacts, build information about them, sync them with our Google workspace and then perform email marketing to them, all in the same tool.
So far, Insighly is easy to upload information.
It can be a bit confusing as to where certain customer lists are found.
Keeping my contacts/prospects in one place.
A wide variety of features and integrations makes this a more substantial CRM tool for prospecting and prospect management
It does tend to be a more cumbersome tool with less agility between tasks. The interface is substantial and does offer some ease in navigation.
Great for marketing...great as a sales tool. Prospecting and tracking sales cadences is easier than some, though again, sometimes more cumbersone. Able to achieve scale with mass outreach.
It is easy to organize and filter contacts.
Lafk of automations are a downside with Insightly
Contact organization
It's supper intuitive and easy to use. You don't need a programming / coding background. You can use it as much as you need.
It's not highly adaptable as other CRMs. It's for great use for small and medium businesses but I don't recommend it for big businesses.
Keeping track of my sales team and on how they are investing their time. Super useful for goal setting
I really like how easy it is to add contacts, setup leads and send emails to contacts/set up email campaigns. I also like the flow of the app and how tabs expand as needed as well as integration with a mobile app for on-the-go work. I also like the easy addition of tags throughout the app...makes it easy to quickly grab the list I need. Finally, I really like seeing all the opportunities in a single list with the pipeline stage highlighted. This is very helpful.
The reason I ended up changing CRMs is because I didn't like the email chain notifications (or lack thereof) in the app. I could see if someone had been contacted, but not easily see if they had looked at the email or even responded. A simple icon would do the trick there. Also, I had trouble with email integration so the emails could come directly from me. (In the end, I ended up changing providers and this worked out, but was a definite hurdle for me). Also, I would have had to upgrade (and can't afford to until I get customers) to get more email templates for sending emails or to import more mailchimp contacts. This limitation coupled with difficulty quickly seeing what emails were being opened
I used Insightly for contact and email management for potential leads/opportunities. I think it's a nice modern tool for management of sales and marketing pipelines.
