Insightly is very easy to use and also has a great layout/design. Therefore it is attractive to use also.
I feel like there are some additional functionalities that insightly can add to their systems.
Helps to keep tasks and emails organized
I love the insight it provided into analytics
It took a certain amount of learning curve
figuring out what works best and when
For tracking calls and meetings, this is the best. It also has great company/contact connections. Easy to use and integrate.
I wish it had a kanban feature. It would also be helpful if there was a built in timer.
Tracking calls and meetings are easy to track with insightly!
Easy to keep track of different customers and automate emails.
I think it could be better organized with the different labels and customer groups.
Honestly, we don't use it as often as when we first started. For our small startup it was extremely useful in managing leads and cold contacts.
Ease of use, reporting and overall flow of lead to project
Additional project management functionality would be helpful
Sales and Project tracking, monthly reporting on opportunities, completed projects etc
Easy to navigate and has a lot of features that are worthwhile.
It lacks a large amount of connectivity to other platforms. Namely connectivity to Outlook.
Customer management and logging of calls/meetings/contacts. Better visualization of visits etc.
Insightly easily allows me to easily organize and manage my customers and has helped greatly streamline my sales process. The tasking system is easy and quick to use and, as a sales rep that works with many new customers on a daily basis, adding new contacts is a breeze.
I dislike being forced to have separate contacts for the organization and those who work at the organization. Also, an update that was pushed a couple months ago really threw a wrench in my CRM process, and almost made me switch to a new CRM -- the amount of data entry that had to be redone to make Insightly work for my needs was huge and very costly to my company.
Previously, I was organizing my contacts using an Excel spreadsheet, which was very inefficient for what I needed. I work with ~2,000 different customers on a yearly basis, and Excel was simply not automated enough to handle that quantity. Insightly has allowed me to easily task my follow-ups with customers which was something I was previously unable to do.
organizes my clients and can generate custom reports and lead sheets for sales
takes a lot of effort and time. Have to have someone to enter all the information. also, lead section is organized my persons name, cannot change that, would be better to be organized by company name since we don't always have a point of contact yet when we generate a business lead. Also easier to recognize the lead by company name.
Helps to keep organized with regards to sales leads and processes by doesn't help move things forward unless all your sales reps are constantly entering everything from their meetings and calls, and are well read on how to utilize the software and smartphone app
Being able to see our database grow, funneling from our website.
No universal tagging during conversions from contacts, to leads, to companies, to projects
Better customer data management
Tracks leads and projects through all the phases.
Doesn't scale to enterprise well or offer the ability for custom reports.
Track leads and clients through all the phases of the sales process and project development.
It's relatively easy to set up. Website is easy to navigate. It's intuitive to use.
Task management is much more difficult than it should be. Entering lots of tasks of once is laborious. Reporting is clunky.
Identifying opportunities and being able to track contacts and followups on that opportunity. Ability to streamline some of the repeated tasks that come with implementations. Biggest benefit has been that the process has become more systematic and repeatable.
I mainly use the task and project management tools
It's another separate site to go to when I've already got so many
Task & project management/delegation
For newly starting or very small business use Insightly is a good option. It is definitely a good place to start with people who are not overly familiar with using a CRM to bring all of the client information to one location and are looking for an inexpensive and simple CRM solution.
It does not feel very intuitive and I found it to be rather limiting when I am used other CRMs. To the rest of the members of the team who are not used to interacting with CRM software they do not find it as limiting. Though they also agree that it doesn't feel very intuitive or expansive.
It is helping us bring all of the information more into one place so that everyone can access it real time. This has been a big boon to us as the company has grown some this last year.
Easy to use. Love that it has a phone app.
Cannot print to do list. Lots of clicking through screens to make changes to existing information.
Prospect database Great way to store call notes and follow-up date.
Super. Sleek. Intelligent. Cheap. I'm a big fan of Salesforce.com but was recently pushed into giving insightly a try. Most companies will offer a CRM solution with too many unnecessary bells and whistles that I feel are used to simply increase the price. Insightly offers something very clean and intelligent without the fluff.
The support model is slow and cumbersome. Email only support and only available on west coast time.
We needed better sales funnel transparency. We also needed to drop the cost of our current CRM as it was becoming expensive.
Insightly allows our sales to project managers to accounting team all be on the same page with clients instead of sharing gmail contacts inefficiently and not cross-organizationally. Transitioning the opportunities to projects is really helpful for our company. We also like being able to link emails and upload our contract for each project. Assigning owners is helpful and we also use the tag feature to distinguish types of projects.
The Quickbooks link breaks frequently. We have a lot of contracts that require the Project Managers to stay on top of billing issues so we still have to revert back to them asking accounting directly rather than having easy access to it on their phone or computer. The reports for sales conversions are pretty good, but for retention and clients who sign multiple contracts or duration of client lifecycle, etc. longterm profiles aren't there. We've also experienced timing out when we try to search and there is a delay when you're trying to link accounts or contacts to companies.
We're solving a disconnect between departments. It's essential that our clients feel like everyone across the organization has the same understanding about who they are and what their needs are from the receptionist to their project manager.
The organization and ease of finding records.
Sometimes it can be a tad clumsy but once you get used to it seems fine.
A new tool as a database for freelancers.
Insightly is fast and works better than our other programs at work.
I wish it refreshed itself so I did not have to waste time refreshing all the time.
Insightly helps our team collaborate quickly and effectively across several states.
Very flexible and customizable. You can add lots of custom fields on objects and set up automations.
Lots of irregularity and warts. E-mail integration works for Google Business but not other accounts; have to forward E_mails manually to Insightly to get them to appear, and they intentionally block auto-forwarded E-mails for some reason. Can link people and projects, but can't link people and custom objects. Also, the UI is just plain slow.
It's a CRM.
I enjoy that the system is easy to learn and manage. The spacing between information is also apparent and precise. I also enjoy the fact that I can have the same system open in multiple tabs at the same time.
I cannot stand that sometimes I input information; it erases itself. Installers seem to be the main thing to input and disappear as soon as you press save, and no matter how many times you input the correct information, it acts as a piece of tape not knowing how to stick.
I love that I can write all the notes I need to. To be completely aware of what is taking place at all times is an extreme benefit. It also makes it easier to be able to stay organized.
