Really responsive team, frequent updates, super flexible
Missing some controls, for example, dates, numeric fields and more like that would be a plus.
It doesn't really solves a problem, it is just super fast to build and structure your data for your website. It would take a lot longuer to build it custom.
Kentico is very communicative with their customers and will always look out for the best for their users experiences
Some updates take a little longer than I would like
Our website has been easier to write/edit new content, and it allows us to get the fastest and best quality out of our content
Modular content in rich text areas are great and are very flexible. The added bonus of being able to edit nested down content items without having to leave the parent page is great as well. The best part about the Kentico Cloud is that as a developer, I have full control of the website and its architecture and the client has full control of the content.
The lack of ability to customize the editor. Some times more complicated editing tools might be needed and simple text boxes and multiple choice editors may not be enough. Also, there needs to be a version control system for content items and an ability to support multiple environments such as Dev, QA, Stage, and Production simultaneously.
We wanted a flexible CMS that does not require manual upgrades every year. We wanted the content to be hosted in the cloud for easy access.
This allows for quick collaboration across most devices.
I am not sure if the features will support image editing.
It takes away the technical challenges of running a CMS. You don't have to worry about rewriting code.
The platform is user-friendly and it is easy to learn how to navigate it. Our team manages multiple websites and multiple external vendors, and it is easy to manage different accesses on the projects. It is great to be able to develop new code that is available for each website but to be able to manage each one separately, so you can push a new functionality on one website and not the other. Setting up personalized workflows has been great as well to help the management of new content production and to avoid things getting published by accident.
No downsides found yet! Our team needs to learn to manage comments and tasks better, but that is not on the platform, we just need to set better internal processes.
Kontent has helped us in terms of development, as it is much easier on the production side to manage and improve existing websites than it was with our previous CMS. We don't feel "locked" in into an existing structure, we can mold it to our business's evolving needs.
The ease of using the system. Everything is where it is supposed to be and easy to navigate
The fact that once you start editing and bring a copy from another language you cant go back to the original draft that is published
Web updates and adding diffrent languages
I love the ability to separate the design of a webpage from its content so we can fully focus on a content first solution. The user interface is very easy to use and I get many compliments on it.
The ability to govern the system is lacking unless the subscription is upgraded. I have an enterprise-level subscription but still can't manage the system by collections.
We are solving the issue of a content first model. I love that it also supports .NET which is what we use here at DDI. The image API is also fantastic and saves a ton of time.
documentation and flexibility of the application
I feel like the application is quite limited sometimes when getting information based on hierarchy.
I am managing content based on hierarchical pages. Pulling information for a specific page is pretty good but when traversing through several levels, it becomes tricky.
The preview functionality is excellent. Also the ease of reordering blocks
The method of discarding versions could be a bit easier. I worry about forgetting to discard a test version.
We have multiple region sites each with some similar content and some unique. Maintaining just one copy of the common content is making life easier
Web Spotlight is a great feature to preview your content
It is easy to use but sometimes feels slow.
Nontechnical users can create landing pages easily without a coder.
The visual website editor in combination with a headless CMS, is very powerful and easy to understand. It makes creating new sites a breeze!
The interface could be slightly cleaner at some points.
Landing page generation
ease of use and management of content in Kontent
It doesn't allow for as many customizations
Marketing teams ability to manage and update content
The SDK contains many useful plug-ins which are straightforward to configure. It allowed my organisation to execute our digital strategy with few roadblocks and effective governance.
The pricing model is not ideal - Developer licences should not be limited to 1 month. It is too short of a timeframe to build out prototypes and test the full offering from Kontent.
We are solving the problem of having a "Traditional BAU" approach to enterprise CMS. We are trying to consolidate our content into a single source of truth and then feed it to our various customer-facing outlets.
Kentico had a great user interface and user experience on the front end. The other great thing was the ability to easily edit material in the backend on the CMS.
One thing I dislike was the reporting and the email part of the CMS. The email could have been improved. Another thing that could be better was the ability to add more plug-ins to the platform. Another thing that could have been improved was how events were created.
I currently no longer use Kentico Kontent. I have switched organizations. There were a ton of great benefits however. We were able to manage a lot of providers and physical locations within the CMS.
Kentico has some outstanding customization options and a relatively intuitive interface. We had some trouble finding Kentico developers but found a lot of help through Kentico's support team.
Unless you work in a big corporation or need to maintain large websites, you may find the price point for Kentico CMS too expensive. The biggest downfall is probably the steep learning curve compared to other CMS alternatives. To take full advantage of the system training and potentially certification are required.
Kentico helps us create, stage, and publish web content as part of a headless architecture. We're also using Kentico EMS to automate specific marketing campaigns.
The flexibility overall and the intuitive nature of the admin interface. It really seems that you have thought of everything!
Nothing, in particular, to report here with regards to feature set and capabilities. I think it'll just be a learning curve as we do more with Kontent. Also, the licensing cost may be an issue for smaller clients or non-profit organizations who are used to a more 'one and done' pricing model.
Distributing content across different ouch points n an organization
The ease of use of the CMS interface is the really good
It can get complicated in terms of no in line view of what you are doing before you publish but i think this development is coming soon
Currently it was bringing all our websites onto the kontent platform which means stability. Next is a personalisation plug in to help improve our user experience
User friendly, supports multiple languages, developers can edit/create new content types as needed.
Repetitive to update multiple languages; no way to update multiple languages at once.
Allows non-developers to easily update website content.
Kentico kontent is very user friendly and its a good one to learn more about content management system. Easy to handle and itwill help us to work more easier and quicker. Good application for the CMS hope new implementation will come in future to create new things.
Automatic saver if suppose the user did something by mistake it got saved automatically without warning
Good one no issues
The REST aspects of the API are solid. It's easy to get started with existing REST experience.
It's hard to navigate the documentation. There are many domains findable by search engines, and it's not always obvious which ones are up to date.
Kentico allows us to integrate data from our own existing API with content entered by a user in the Kentico UI. This gives us the flexibility to decouple sites from both APIs.
