That the engage platform speaks to the CRM platform and that the technicians are so happy to help me and are patient with my lack of knowledge.
As a member-supported NP, (like many I am sure) that creating a form for online purchases of membership does not communicate with the membership field in CRM and update that data automatically. It is also no conducive to people who purchase memberships for others and the workaround is cumbersome.
I have solved a lot of problems at my agency in regards to antiquated ways of collecting data and put tracking interaction on the map, which did not even exist before. These benefits have been great in regards to community relations and fundraising and engagement in general.
The best part of Salsa CRM is really the customer support. They are always very eager and helpful when I have a problem.
The downside, is that Salsa CRM does so much, that it's hard for one person to manage it all.
Before we had Salsa CRM, we tracked donations with Quickbooks. Salsa CRM helps our team remotely manage donations and donors.
It is very easy to navigate for non-technical users. We were able to start using it right away to enter donations. Whenever we have questions about a feature, support is very helpful and will walk through the process with us if we need it. The dashboard for each constituent is very helpful when reviewing donor records. You can easily see at a glance what your last contact was with a constituent, when they last donated, and check on their contact information. The duplicate merging tool helps us to keep our data clean and helps us to work efficiently. The NCOA service helps us to evaluate our mailing addresses and keep our information updated.
The Advanced Query tool can be improved. It can be a little tricky at first, but you learn how to use it fairly quickly. There are a lot of required fields that need to be included to get some other fields to work properly in the query. It took a few calls to support to walk through the process the first few times. The CRM only accepts one payment gateway at this time, so if you have multiple accounts that you use for different donation campaigns, you need to use Engage or another method for those credit card or ACH donations. The event management tool is a bit archaic and only works well with the desktop version of the software.
Connecting constituents and businesses, foundations, other constituents, etc. to understand how our donors relate to one another. The analytic tools are very helpful in providing insights in comparing past donation years. The analytic tools per donor are also very helpful when making donor calls or preparing for donor meetings. We have been able to keep our data clean and relatively free from duplicates with their duplicate merge tool.
Salsa CRM helps to run an organization with smooth inspection and helps to grow the features as the organization grows as well. This application helps to locate the donors and make sure that they become loyal within time and this application not only provides the authentic donation methods but, also helps to solve the management issues with great support. This application makes a good interaction between donors and donating methods. All things and strategies are cleared for the person who is donating and the donation method is very simple. Hence, we can also donate detail easily.
This application can transform the old data and one would have to make a new account and detail for donating some other amount. So, there should be a single detail for all users and everyone will find this tool helpful in creating a single platform.
Salsa CRM is the best communication tool for donors and donating organization. We are using this application for many years and we have come across its many versions that are upgraded to stabilize this tool. I must say this application is excellent in making datasheets for donors and they can see their donation detail and expenditure within this tool. That’s why I prefer this application in militating the funds and clients to promote the campaigning methods. The social ambiance of this application is very strong and donors approach easily any time.
Salsa CRM makes it super easy to manage your donors, sponsors, volunteers, and even staff!
I do not have anything I have found to dislike thus far.
We are utilizing Salsa CRM to manage donor relations, keep track of our incoming donations and organize staff assignments.
Salsa CRM is adaptable to our small non-profit. It is configurable to enable us to report on exactly what we need wrt our donors, volunteers and clients. Customer support is quick, responsive, thinks of out of the box solutions based on my actual needs.
User interface is fairly blah and there is SO much functionality it takes a while to dig deep to find it all. Still learning the system after a year.
Ease of reports, capturing volunteer hours, success of various program based on attendance we can track, etc
Since 2003 we have purchased, leased, been granted and explored too many databases to count. Until we finally found our home with SALSA. The team is constantly upgrading and adding features, the customer support is absolutely unparalleled, and their dedication to the end-user is obvious in the features they have and those that they've added over the years we've been with them. Every software CRM has issues. One of the things that sets SALSA apart from all of the others is their customer service team. They go the extra mile and then they just keep going even further to work with you, fix any issue you're having, suggest new features to the development team based on your needs....they are just the absolute best.
I'm not as fond of their donation processing partner. For example, if a donor wants to increase their giving amount you have to cancel their old donation and they have to go in and create a whole new donation. Some of their training material leaves a lot out, but the responsiveness of their support team more than makes up for that.
I’ve been with SALSA now for several years. In the beginning I kept trying to make it Network for Good - which I left because they were so non-responsive, but they do have good interfaces and options, and their donation processing is a breeze. But the reality is, that I left NFG because I couldn’t get what I wanted. From my first day with SALSA, though, the team behind the product stood out and they jumped through hoops and turned somersaults to make me happy and get me the training I needed. I even got a call from the President of the company to talk about what I was experiencing and to make sure I was getting what I needed. I can’t imagine any other company with a “the customer comes first” culture that reaches all the way to the top. No matter what I come up with that I want to do, I find that there’s a way to do it in SALSA (except around the donations!). I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone without reservations!
The Salsa team is knowledgeable and friendly. They even remember your name. Clay Rios is very good at his job plus he makes me laugh. I always look forward to speaking with him. But all of the Salsa support team are helpful.
There are afternoon times when you are put on hold. There is better pick up service in the mornings.
Salsa takes care of all my data management, fundraising, emails, and thank you notes. I probably use a small percentage of its capabilities, but it suits our nonprofit needs.
We were using spreadsheets and Salsa put all of our donors into one place and allowed us to easily communicate with them through Engage. We now have history on our donors and can easily track their participation with our organization. The best part was online event management, it freed up staff from taking reservations and answering questions. The process is all online and easy for our guests to utilize.
The word processor took some getting used to, but once we learned how to it worked fine. Individual letter editing saved lots of time.
Improved donor management, event management and e-mail messaging that is all tracked together.
