The best part of SEMrush was the price before they increased it by 110% for our various services. The cost went from $69/month to $140/month for the basic plan and social media poster tool.

In my years of using SEO tools, I've seen various changes and adaptations to platforms, but SEMrush's latest move to increase fees by 110% in one month left me highly disappointed. SEMrush's UI is cluttered and feels like it was designed in the 1990's. In addition, the premium features not included with my plan are scattered across the user interface. No one wants to see features that aren't included in the plan. Exorbitant Price Increase: The recent decision by SEMrush to hike up their monthly plan from a reasonable $69/month to a hefty $120/month with a mere month's notice is, to put it bluntly, outrageous. It's hard enough to budget for consistent monthly expenses without such sudden and drastic changes. Social Media Poster is now paid: SEMrush's Social Media Poster was a helpful tool and included with their basic plan for up to 10 accounts. With one month's warning, it's now a paid product at $20/month. Not cool. UI Clutter with Premium Features: One of the most annoying issues is the incessant addition of premium features to the site's user interface and navigation. Not only is this incredibly cluttered US for users who pay for premium features, but it complicates the training process for staff using the tool. A feature shouldn't be visible if it isn't part of the package. Simple as that. Outdated UX/UI: The site's user experience and interface feel archaic. Trying to navigate it is reminiscent of stumbling through a digital maze from the 1990s. This just shouldn't be the case with today's modern front-end frameworks (i.e., React, etc.). Aggressive Marketing Tactics: The frequency of their promotional emails and calls urging an upgrade to their pro plan, now priced exorbitantly at $250/month. I don't want to pay 5X what I was paying when initially getting the tool and I don't want more voicemails. Don't keep contacting me if I don't answer the first 100+ emails. It's a far cry from when I started using their service at around $50/month. Final Thoughts: The SEO analytics market has competitive, affordable options. With SEMrush's 110% price increase this past month, I will no longer recommend the tool. Those looking for value, transparency, and a modern UI/UX might want to search elsewhere.

Semrush is brand on the surface but apaprently is overrated, expencive and obscure not what one expect from company having a reach to the market they have currently

They free trail is a gimmick. They first collect money where one will not expect to get charged in free trail period. Then they will convince you that your money will be paid back and will hold on the money by all means making excuses of not relevant nature. I cancelled free trial on the same day and offer was printed on receipt but I told that this cancellation was not effective because I did not ask for money back on the same email, despite return of money is condition of free trial cancellation. My cancellation was delayed for two days because I needed to justify it and finally after I did it was not valid because I did not mention that money should be returned. This is appauling and I can see that company must be scrritnised seriously and one could expect that this company is source of potntial risk as they construing such an agressive and obscure practises.

It is more geared for agents and professionals not for the managers or owners

If you EVER have an issue that causes your payment to not go through, you can expect A SUSPENDED ACCOUNT EMAIL ABOUT 10-20 min after you get the failed payment email.

They do my local directory service and I also have to use them for generating reports each month for clients. But I'd love to replace them because they are horrible people.

Software is alright, but you can find much more affordable solutions for way lower prices. If we weren't invested so much in the software, we'd much prefer working with other vendors.

I dislike their sales team, they aren't helpful, their pricing is opaque and confusing, and their team doesn't try to help you. They observe you simply as means for them to achieve their commissions. You won't be treated like a customer, but an ATM.

Data analytics for SEO and reporting. We enjoy working with these tools, but pricing is pushing us away toward other vendors such as writer zen and uber suggest.

SEM rush is a great tool for SEO and content marketing, but they are prety expensive.

They are taking away the brand monitoring tool (which was included in our plan) and is a reason why we signed up for SEMrush. SEMrush declined to give us a refund or offer us a free replacement after taking this tool away. Greedy.

That you cannot change their automatic country selection on billing and shipping- you have to submit tons of "evidence" to "prove" you are from wherever country but the automatic default for us was canada, which is not correct- NOR do they require documentation for this country- they just assume. SO I canceled immediatly.

Very abysmal customer service. They processed an unauthorized transaction on my account, and when I requested a refund, I only received a partial refund. When I contacted customer service, they refused to do anything, citing that it was due to the changes in currency exchange rate (US $ --> Canadian $). Customers shouldn't have to pay up for a mistake made on their end. For a company of their size, customer service is non-existent.

Was trying to get valid keyword research. Found better option with KWFINDER!

Overall, Semrush is a really solid search engine optimization and search engine marketing tool that gives you all the key data you'll need for a successful SEO project. ... But overall, Semrush is a very good solution that provides you with the key information you'll need to improve your search rankings. I love the competitive research capabilities of SEM Rush. I can easily see historic search or display ads of the competition and derive their strategy from the information that SEM Rush provides. SEM Rush also has other great features like monitoring the health of a website and social media reporting. It saves my team a lot of time. The SEO improvement suggestions are great - you do not need to look around and try to figure out what to correct when you are working with a large website and thousands of pages.

There isn't a whole lot that I dislike about this tool. Sometimes, features that I really want to use are at another subscription level. I wish that more features came with a lower subscription price. I also wish that there were more role-based logins to trim down what people see and only show them the data and features that relate to their role. An example of this is the SEO writing assistant. I also wish there was more control over the date ranges of the data presented. Some of the menus are not intuitive and I wish the UI was more intuitive. There is a lot of overlap with the different tools/sections.

We are able to automate some reporting, easily monitor site health beyond Google Search Console and use the data to create effective strategies. It saves us a lot of time and allows us to be more agile. We are able to connect multiple systems and have one concise view of the monitoring data. SEM Rush is also able to provide us with very valuable competitive research and keyword planning for future initiatives. We are launching several new digital initiatives and this tool has informed us of how to approach each project with a clear direction. Our management is able to make informed decisions with data and in the world of Big Data, having the right data is the most important problem that SEM Rush solves for our planning.

A lot of features, good analysis tools and up to date systems.

I feel ripped off by Semrush. We are customers already for 4 years. We always have enough with one user. Now, we have been loggin in, by accident, from a few different locations. This is because of remote working due to corona and it was unclear in the team who was responsible for Semrush. Now is our account suspended, which I can understand. But the only 'solution' is that I have to buy a €540 extra user. But wo do not need that! I told them this was an accident and that one user is enough for us. Which it always has been for 4 years. But we can only get our account back with paying 540€. And a refund of the unused service is also not possible. This feels like bribery. Elena Nefedova was 'helping' me, but only offering me this upsell that I do not need. It is a shame to be treated like this after being a loyal customer for 4 years. I will recommend other potential customers SeRanking. It is much cheaper, has almost the same features and they will not rip you off with unwanted upsells. Shame!

I love all of the data provided. It is nice for knowing how you rank vs your competition. It is nice how it is just on your browser at all times. (You don't have to go to their website)

I don't like that it was glitchy. I have a video if you would like to see the glitch. It is really hard to understand the data. I love the amount of data it gives I just wish there was a smaller learning curve to understanding the data.

It helps in telling you how you do on search engines. It solves the problem of not knowing where your business is coming from.

Can't say there is much. None of the data matches what we actually do organically or with AdWords. Their backlink feature seems to be more accurate than other software I use though.

I was hoping to learn more about competitors, but since it isn't close on my own data, I don't trust the data it shows me for competitors.
