Trello Reviews: 4.4/5 — Solid Choice
As one of the pioneering Kanban web-based project management platforms, more than 2 million teams are now using Trello worldwide since its launch in 2011. Trello is best known for its simple visual interface, with cards that can be moved across different columns. Each card holds all the information teams and assignees need to deliver on projects and execute tasks efficiently. Over the years, Trello has introduced robust improvements to its systems, which include a proprietary built-in and no-code automation feature called Butler. There are also add-ons called Power-Ups that allow teams to link your most-used productivity and business tools with Trello plugins.

I love the templateable customizable organization method of Trello. It works like a charm for me
I would love if there was a free note taking function attached to it so it could litterally be my catch all
Distribution of time between different projects and clients
Trello is a fantastic system of what are essentially digital post it notes. You can create a kanban system of them to do project management, you can have a more visual and organized bookmark set up. Anything you can do with sticky notes and lists Trello can digitize it and put it in your pocket
I honestly don't think that there is anything that I dislike about Trello considering how customizable it is.
My largest use for Trello is for kanban project management, this helps me keep my own work organized while also making it easier to see what my coworkers are up to as well.
I love being able to see vertical buckets of information to organize projects into phases
What I don’t like is the lack of a centralized task manager in order to check things off easily
I’m definitely able to get a large team organized with tracking the progress of multiple projects and customers
The interface is neat and clean. The function is good enough for the simply daily task management.
The format of texts editing should be more diversified.
It helps me prioritize my daily tasks and time management. Also centralise the information and improve the communication among the team
I like the fact the tiles are movable. I can see the tasks as they are completed in a project. I also appreciate the color coordination. It makes it easier to navigate and separate projects.
I did not like the generic layout. I want to be able to connect other apps that i use for time management and projects. The interface would make it easy to connect details of the projects.
I am able to management multiple projects on one interface. Pen and paper made it difficult to keep track of the status of projects.
Setting tasks, keeping the whole team updated, setting deadlines, great interface, attention to detail
Should have smart notifications feature which would help to stop irrelevant notifications in a big group that could turn irritating
Worked on a project with 50 people. Was easy to manage work.
I have been using it for more than 3 years in my company. It helps me to assign tasks and reports collection from each employee.
So far I haven't seen any error in Trello.
No problems.
I love how easy and efficient the website is. I love how you can create different boards for the projects you are working on.
I really like using trello for our weekly meetings. Sometimes trello does have glitches but if you sign out and log in it will work.
I use it as weekly team meetings. Everyone has their own cards that we fill out and the cards are available for everyone to see
The ability for multiple people to log in and edit boards to seamlessly keep projects moving without the constant delay of email and phone tag
It's easy to get overwhelmed with multiple cards and boards - there's SO much you can manage on Trello, which isn't really a problem
We plan and launch projects and Trello has helped keep things streamlined and organized as we plan and launch.
I love how you can put due dates and share lists with employees or friends
I wish Trello could alert me on my computer
None
Trellis has made it so easy to keep track of different projects for different clients.
I think there could be a larger variety of premise templtes
I would constantly forget smaller day to day tasks but now I always remember them.
Trello is such a beautiful, straightforward, easy to use and enjoyable app in general. I can set it up however I want and share it with others with extremely limited effort. It's versatile enough to run software projects, organize my personal life, and be a running to do list all in one app.
I wish I could have an "archive" list where items would get set to closed/archived/done if moved to the list. That's really about it. Everything else can be customized to my specific needs.
I've used Trello for managing software development, managing multiple project tasking (for myself), and even making personal lists for shopping, event planning, and overall organization to dos. It's super flexible for whatever my need is, the setup time is seconds, and I can make it pretty too.
I love the option to add several boards and lists to keep me organized, along with the background designs to keep things fresh and fun.
Unfortunately I have no feedback for dislikes as there is nothing I would change!
I am constantly kept on task using Trello. The reminders and lists keep me organized beyond measure.
Very nice tool for tracking milestones. I like it as i will be able to move the cards from one board to another like todo, doing and done. I use Trello to track my chores at home. I also have an option to add other users to the todo list and send reminders to them on future dates as follow up mails in case the task is not yet completed.
I cannot think of anything i dont like about Trello but may be it will be helpful to use custom themes and styles for the cards.
Todos that need to be done my all the family members. Tracking milestones in the projects for various web and mobile applications.
I love having a card and then a checklist within it, so great for managing a client!
Nothing! It's great for organizing personal and professional tasks.
REMEMBERING!! If I don't have tasks written down, I will forget!
there card structure within the board helps us maintain list of everything. we can create boards for different purposes. and labeling and stickers convey the purpose of each card
there is no real time chat system within the board it will be great if there was a chat system within the board
Our team is a software development team and we often have qa part in our work. there will be different types of bugs. through trello it is really easy to communicate with the qa. they will put bugs in boards with date. the card structure helps to differentiate the bugs. and labeling option helps to identify what type of bug it is.
Our whole company is out of office, so Trello helps us stay on task and outline what needs to get done by which team member. It is a good visual reminder of what need to get done.
There is a lot of organization involved so someone needs to understand the program and set up the hierarchy for the company. All organizations set it up differently so it's important to understand how your company uses it specifically.
We don't see coworkers in person so Trello helps us communicate and organize what needs to be done in a day, week, month. The cards help determine which team the task is assigned to.
Being able to easily create tasks and monitor them. You can move around the tasks easily and create new boards for them to be on as well as customizing the board.
I don't like that you can't delete tasks you can only archive things. That is the only thing I really dislike the use of the software is very easy.
It is easier to create to do lists and keep up with them. I like being able to move it to the finished task list after I have completed but I don't like not being able to delete items only archive them.
Trello is a great way to organize the flow and processes of your business. They are continuously updating and integrating their tool with other business favorites like Slack and Harvest, so getting an in-depth view of your processes is accessible and easy with Trello! At our company, we use it to document process flows, dashboards, organizational structures, requests, team discussions, etc.
It's almost too easy to "archive"/delete a card. However, it's easy to recover it if it is accidentally deleted. Also, with their voting feature, you cannot monitor how many times a user votes, which could be problematic. However, those two dislikes are nitpicky as overall, I love Trello!
With the Harvest integration, it's easy to determine our cost of processes and clearly see who does what type of work within departments. It's also easy from a manager standpoint to monitor the progress of your employees. From a peer to peer standpoint, collaboration has never been easier!
It has helped my team be more productive and enhanced our communications
Nothing all the team is enjoying the tool
Team productivity, follow up and communications
It's so easy to use, and extremely useful in organizing/collaborating on team projects or regular tasks that have involved processes (I use it for bi-weekly payroll so I make sure steps don't get missed, and can keep all my one-off notes that accumulate throughout the pay-period in one spot, and if I happen to be gone for a payroll process, everything is lined out and in one place for whoever is covering for me). Even without getting into the power ups and extra features, it's a great tool!
Honestly, I haven't found anything I don't like yet.
Collaborating on projects with people in multiple locations, being able to link all the resources in one spot and have a spot for all of us to track progress and stay organized has been invaluable.
I love the customizability, help keep tasks organized, easy to share with different teams and assign tasks and deadlines, also aesthetically pleasing
Can’t delete cards easily which is super annoying, also difficult to leave a team once you’ve joined one
Time and task management beyond just pen and paper, super easy to link in other docs and information, all around has made life easier for business and personal planning
Trello is most helpful when working with others. Keeps everything organized so Team Members can stay on the same page
I like everything about trello! It’s a great app
I haven’t faced any problems
It makes it really easy to divide up tasks among team members, as well as keep progress checks. It keeps our team on task and we know exactly where we stand in terms of project completion.
I don't like that multiple people can choose the same card at once, and that notifications are not instant. It's a little glitchy and it often has lags, which is really annoying.
We're working on editing people's college essays. It makes it really easy to track what stage each essay is in and how much review is needed.
The ability to have multiple cards AND multiple boards. Really gives you freedom to organize business goals, or planning, etc. the way you want to structure it.
Small, but I'm super surprised that it doesn't allow you to customize the background/theme with your own branding or use your own image. It's trivial but it's always nice to have a system that's consistent with my company's brand.
Being able to organize thoughts and to-do's and monthly/weekly goals in a way that is most ergonomic for me and my business partner. Being able to assign or color label cards and to comment on cards really helps streamline communication between each other as well.
I absolutely love the website trello. You can make boards in them to share with others or keep for yourself. You can also make weekly check lists for yourself. It’s just a really cool program and I think it really helps you build a platform for all the information you would like to keep or share.
I dislike that trello doesn’t really have any instructions. You kind of have to figure it out on your own.
I have used trello for real estate boards, and for check lists. Trello can help you stay on track.
Trello is very dynamic to organize tasks, responsibilities and checklists for the fulfillment of activities.
It will sound a little stupid, but sometimes it seems to me that the user environment should be a bit more cheerful.
Assignment of tasks, responsibilities and acceptance criteria thereof through checklists. States and progress of tasks and projects.
I use trello with my colleagues daily to track my projects, when they are in review, when I'm getting assigned projects, and just watching the whole cycle of a project from start to finish in easy to use cards and boards.
I wish Trello had a way to color code each card so I can determine which projects associate or so I can sort types of projects by color.
Trello has a lot of power ups, which is through a subscription, that makes life easy. I use Butler to make commands to help me sort cards by due dates, if they have certain features like people associated to a card and so much more. The powerup called Mirror makes it possible to have one card on a board and to share it real time with someone else on their board, instead of having indivudal cards and making sure they are both updated and the same.
You can organice everything pretty well, including notes, photos, etc. And you can share it with your team in seconds.
That’s you can’t hide the teams actualization
We use it because it’s all in one. Remainder, notes and goals. You can prioritize your tasks and manage your time for each activity. Also you save time because you can have everything there. There’s no need to look for information in others apps.
Trello is super user friendly and a very simple, streamlined app for delegating and tracking tasks. It's an agile and flexible tool that allows for relatively complex communication and workflows.
This wouldn't be a good tool for extremely complex projects with a lot of minute details and back and forth, or in-depth feedback and reviewing.
Trello is great for Remote team collaboration and coordinating tasks and maintaining accountability across teams touching the same project.
