The amount of content in this program is staggering. There are countless ways in which a business, personal user, freelancer, or several other users in many industries could use this program. Being able to modify a design exactly how I envision is something I can't do in most other design applications.

If you don't have some basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, the learning curve can be frustrating and unforgiving. Aside from that, there are periodic compatibility issues with fonts for file uploads. Sometimes the UI simply doesn't feel intuitive compared to other, more simplified apps like Canva.

Using Adobe Illustrator has been a critical staple to our business in the custom products industry. We've been able to grow our business significantly over the years by leveraging the complex programs found within illustrator. Illustrate provides simple and quick ui with a variety of features and functionalities that can be used by beginners as well as professionals to create different graphic designs and it has a great support with other softwares as well making is really convinient to use especially for creating animations in adobe animate

The only thing this application lacks is in terms of stability and usability illustrate has a sort of learning curve that makes it a little hard for beginners but once someone gets familiar they can work on it with ease. Illustrator is a also a pretty demanding application and will struggle to run on a simple system with less power.

We use illustrator for all our graphic needs from creating characters illustrations to game posters illustrator caters to all our needs. It has been an impotyant tool is a graphic designers arsenal. It also provides features like layers that helps in creating characters with differnt parts that becomes really useful while creating anumation.

It is a simple platform to create vector art to use on multiple occasions. The simple and easy interface makes it easy for use for even a new user. It is another great program with creative cloud.

When working with a larger project, it can slow down the computer especially if other apps are open. This only seems to be a problem once projects become large. With all of the updates on the system, I hope this is one that can be fixed so that once a file gets larger it doesnt bug down with the new updates.

Adobe Illustrator has many features which allow for a high level of customization.

The high level of possible customization also means that it takes longer to learn to use all of the software's features. I wouldn't say that it is less user-friendly than other design tools, but I think you do need some time investment and maybe a formal class in order to get the full benefit of the software.

Adobe Illustrator is a very useful and powerful tool for those experienced in graphic design. I also like the fact that Illustrator very easily interfaces with all other products in the Adobe Suite. It is very easy to send files from one program to the other based on how you plan to use them. There are also many ways to work collaboratively in illustrator with other people on your team which is a useful tool particularly in design when you often have various opinions and inputs.

This platform is not for your "casual designer." The tools and functionality are robust yet not the most user-friendly for new users of the platform. It can take some experience and learning time to be able to really master the use of Illustrator. Another setback is the fact that the default Adobe file type of .ai does not always work for other organizations when sending files. You often have to export the file separately as an .eps to make sure it is in readable format. I wish you could change the default file type. Lastly I wish the interface was set up more like Adobe's other platforms. It feels much more minimalist than Photoshop or Premiere Pro. When switching from one Adobe tool to the other, it can take some thinking to remember where everything is and what tools do what tasks.

Image vectoring is the primary use of Illustrator for my work. It allows us to create great designs with detail that will print well no matter the scale without losing any resolution. I also use Illustrator to export files to other types of images such as PNGs or JPGs.

Adobe Illustrator has a relatively easy learning curve for the basic uses of the software. There is much more to the software that takes time and practice to become well versed in, but the more you use the tool, the more intuitive it becomes. It is excellent for working with vectors, and I like creating artwork in illustrator as well, as it fits with my style, and I know it will print at any size without problems. I love the quick export feature- so helpful for creating icons and campaigns with reoccurring design motifs.

In their most recent update, they added a swivel shortcut, which messes with the artboard angle more than I would like. All things considered, this is pretty minor. Illustrator is great for manipulating text/headers, but it is not great with multiple lines of text. There are other softwares for this, like InDesign, but it would be nice if illustrator handled text a little bit better.

Creating a sharpest clip art or text is the major benefit of illustrator. Not only creating but taking advantage of various special effects comes in very handy. Exporting to various page making softwares is a breeze though one can make a complete project in illustrator itself.

It is same as photoshop i:e it must be available on Cd as well for offline work.

Designing single pages like leaftlets and covers is one of the positive point of Illustrator and I have taken advantage while designing covers for reputed magazines,especially the cover titles. The one I made a an arab magazine was appreciated and accepted.

I like that I can rely on Illustrator to make sure my vectors are high quality so that I can use them for social media, printing, or motion animations. It's easy to use, and all the tools straightforward to use. I also like that I can export as a PDF or edit a PDF.

I wish when it comes to many layers within a project, it won't slow down, especially with many gradients and textures within a shape.

With Illustrator, I can create versatile graphics for social media while also repurposing the graphics for presentations. I can easily create illustrations in Illustrator and then use graphics within after-effects to design motion animations for videos. I am also using Illustrator to produce event and conference signs on a high-quality level.

My favorite aspect of Adobe Illustrator is simply the number of tools at your disposal. It does seem almost as if you are limited by your knowledge rather than the capabilities of the software, simply due to the sheer amount of tools present. The vector illustration tools are excellent and let you create whatever you think of with a large amount of freedom. Some of my personal favorite aspects of illustrator are the ability to manage a variety of artboards within a single project. This allows me to create, ideate, and test multiple ideas without having to create a variety of different files. I also enjoy the the layer management system as well as the integration with adobe stock.

The biggest negative with illustrator is its enormous learning curve. The downside to having such powerful software with such a large variety of tools is that it will be almost impossible to learn them all. Often when using illustrator, I will have to search for a guide or tutorial on how to accomplish a specific task. While this can be slightly tedious, it does not really take away from the software as a whole.

I found the program easy to use and fun to play around on. I started with this during my design career, and it helped my creative side spark.

There is not much that I did not like but, it is great for simple designs. I could never really get too detailed with the work but, I think it was more operator error than anything.

I was able to get the vector images I needed with a more simple format than Photoshop.

The memory on photoshop is the greatest feature. I can do a command once and then just repeat the same thing instead of doing the process over and over

I dislike the incompatibility between illustrator on my laptop and my iPad !

I am making much more realistic prints for my pieces than I could ever do with my hands ! My lines are crisper and I can get the exact right color I need.

I've been a long-time fan of Adobe Illustrator. I love the power and capability - if you know how to use it, there's so much you can do. I also like that they continually update the software to improve the user experience.

The main downside of Illustrator is that it takes a while to learn. It's not super friendly towards beginner designers. Thankfully, these days, there are so many tutorials that almost anyone can learn how to use it. But it does take an investment of time.

Adobe Illustrator gives me free creative ability in my design work - I can create pretty much anything (vector-based) from scratch. My knowledge of Illustrator has been a huge asset for my employer because I can quickly create almost anything they need.

I don't like how you get locked into a subscription with Adobe products. Also, the layout of Illustrator was very hard to learn when starting out.

We used to have a lot of issues with other software transforming images into SVG files. The Image Trace tool in Illustrator allows our team to quickly convert designs to send them to our machines.

I like the use of many tools to adapt and create artwork. Having a basic understanding of using multiple layers to do work can help anyone become an artist

In principle, Illustrator is one of those programs that, according to your work, can be useful; in my case, I work with 3D models, and in this place, I build patterns or frames which I import in SVG and convert into models, I like it because it is easy to use, It has multiple vector options, it is pretty professional and complete. It is a tool that offers professional possibilities, but it is also accessible to amateurs, and for its use or the use that is given, it is not expensive at all.

I always say that I love open source programs; it is not the case with Illustrator, but hey is part of the diversity if it could be more accessible to people and developers and became a lower cost. It could close more, however this form I also accept. The improvements will always be progressive; for the moment, it has not given me any displeasure.

It has allowed me to join my modeling work; as I said, it helps me to create patterns which I convert into vector format and then work in my 3D program, so I use it a lot, and it is helpful in my work area, I also use its composition and design tasks.

It can be overwhelming. As a marketer and not a graphic designer I am not using the program on day to day basis and sometimes can be difficult. There are multiple ways how to do one thing and you can get stuck on one little thing that you just can't make a right and can't figure out how to do.

I am using Illustrator for creating basic marketing material and social media posts. This gives me a chance to make nice graphics without contacting a graphic designer and still have a chance to reach my audience in a way that is modern and most importantly effective.

As I said, I use this program for a long time but obviously I did not meet any problems or cons in Adobe Illustrator. But I would like mention that, sometimes can happen some crash in software and you can lose you project this time. But it happens so rarely. Also last versions does not meet my expectation, because I was waiting new updates and some features. I belive Adobe will make happy to all users with new updates in the next versions.

This program is also one step ahead of other competitors with its ability to run on Mac operating systems as well as Windows. Since some versions of other design programs do not run on the Mac operating system, this program has the title of this design program, which is deemed appropriate by experts. Basically, although many of the design software work similarly to each other, Adobe Illustrator can get ahead of other companies with some nice opportunities it can offer.

The find and replace tool is lacking some of the basic feature while working with typefaces. For example, there is no option to find and replace specific font weight and style. Other than that everything is good.

One of the foremost thing with Illustrator is that it is a vector based graphics software and not a raster based one. Hence we can design graphics and print out huge billboards as well without the picture being pixelated. All sorts of Illustrations, can be done on illustrator. The illustrator can look overwhelming at first but with constant practice you can master it. I have been using it for the past 5 years at still I believe there is a lot to learn with Illustrator. There are a great amount of tools that are displayed and some hidden under main menus. However one needs to discover it. Illustrator also doesnt work well with 3D. The software crashes down when intense amount of 3d is done.

I have been using it for the past 5 years for my official design purpose and for updating my portfolio. It helps one to find a job as basically we can design our portfolios in it. You cannot select anchor points in a go. This is a drawback I believe.

I use illustrator to design logos and graphics for the websites. I use illustrator to create SVG as a part of front end development for mobile apps and websites.

I love Illustrator's ease-of-use. It's a joy to use and the vector tools are excellent. It has complex path options too that save time when it comes to more complex operations. It's also the standard across the industry, so it's the software that I can be sure other designers are also using if working collaboratively or remotely, which is occurring more and more during the challenges of the coronavirus epidemic.

I dislike Illustrator's performance. It frequently feels sluggish and unresponsive, even on a high-end PC or MacBook. Alternatives like Affinity and Vectornator just feel so much faster and new. The subscription model is also painful and bloated. The Creative Cloud launcher feels slow and inefficient. Overall not the smoothest experience for the user.

Adobe Illustrator is my daily requirement for bringing the best design on the table and that could reflect the quality of work of my organization. Through this tool till now I have created couple of cover letters, I have edited the images and made graphical designs for running our campaigns that has thrown an everlasting impact of our on our customers.

Couple of times I have faced issues like slowing down of the system and I have to restart it again. This product is quite technical. So in order to begin using it users need to have complete understanding of it. Better is to get proper training before starting.

It has almost every tool that is required to shape an image, and to bring it to motion as well. Till now I have not faced any complication to get started with it neither its customization issues. Adobe always informs me about any up gradation in its version. This superb tool provides me outstanding color scheme that throws light directly on the particular images for further making the images look beautiful and brighter too.

It's certainly the most robust vector creation program. Adobe knows its audience well and it shows. Anything you need to design, you can accomplish with Illustrator.

This program is NOT beginner-friendly. With a lot of Adobe products, I've found you can dive in and get a sense of things on your own. To use Illustrator effectively you really have no choice but to consult tutorial videos.

Illustrator is THE program for logo-designing. It's the industry standard for a reason.

Smaller design projects such as business cards seem okay to create in Illustrator but if you are looking to design a full or multi-page document it’s not the best tool.
