Unclaimed: Are are working at Asana ?
Considered one of the pioneering cloud-based project management tools, Asana offers four views for its users – List View, Timeline, Calendar, and Boards – all of which help teams get both a macro and micro view of all the moving parts of projects and tasks. It provides a comprehensive roadmap of ongoing projects from start to finish, clearly outlining dependencies, project milestones, and feedback and approval processes. For project managers, strong reporting capabilities that show completion rates, individual workloads, and potential delays just to name a few create opportunities for real-time project optimization, collaboration, stronger forecasting, and better planning for future similar projects.

My only complaint with asana is the inability to inmport excel project management outlines from others.
Remote workers across 5 timezones can easily see tasks, updates, and due outs.

Our marketing team functions like an in-house public relations, events planning and marketing agency for a large nonprofit. We take and process requests from multiple departments, some with short turnaround and some with longevity. Some projects also have extensive outside vendor involvment. Being able to bring all of those moving parts under one umbrella to collaborate across teams, and even outside of our organization with partner vendors to stay on track with projects, provide real-time feedback and edits, and meet deadlines has been simply incredible. Before organization-wide adoption of Asana, this would've involved countless email changes, notebooks, and a myriad of spreadsheets, and files all over the place. Trying to keep things straight--especially during the height of our very busy fundraising campaign season was a nightmare before we had the task management system that Asana provides to us.
It's not really a tool problem. But we organizationally have had some challenges with individual teams or departments who have been slower to adapt or implement Asana into their work flow. This has presented challenges at times in keeping things moving along as you'd like when others aren't in the system checking for progress and responding to requests as needed. I do think the inbox feature could be improved a bit. Sometimes it gets so cluttered it's hard to find what's new and needs your attention now--especially if you're coming back from being out of the office for any extended period of time. I don't have any strong feelings about what would make this better, I can only share that sometimes it's been tough to weed through and find what I'm looking for.
As mentioned previously, really just being able to have a solid workflow and established timelines has been huge. We have used the feedback feature with our contracted graphic designer a lot. It's been a tremendous asset in being able to clearly illustrate what changes we need to be made and getting those things addressed in a timely and efficient manner. It's also just a great way to have one place to keep everything, versus having multiple programs or places to track various projects and components of them.
By integrating it into my work process, I can improve collaboration, increase productivity, and have greater oversight of the different aspects of my advertising campaigns. Its user-friendly interface, quick implementation, reliable support and adaptable integration options allow me to foster collaboration by utilizing its extensive features, such as comments and attachments, to share important documents, receive feedback, and provide updates on advertising projects. This ensures efficient communication and helps me stay organized in my work.
While there may be a slight drawback in the inability to access certain features without a paid subscription, the vast array of features available with the free plan is truly remarkable. Additionally, it is worth highlighting that customer support is readily available and dedicated to solving any issues that may arise.
By using Asana, I am able to prioritize tasks effectively and promptly address the important aspects of my advertising operations. This allows me to efficiently manage my workload and improve collaboration with others. Asana also enhances project visibility, optimizes resource allocation, and provides me with tools to plan and manage my campaigns efficiently.
Quickbooks Online surpassed our expectations by efficiently onboarding and transferring our company's data from an offline program. Aside from that, QuickBooks has consistently served as our preferred accounting and invoicing tool. It is user-friendly and easy to install, with a clear focus on mobility. The software is reasonably priced, reliable, and offers flexible integrations along with 24/7 customer support. The platform also enables direct collaboration with clients, facilitating the sharing of information, financial discussions, and addressing any questions. In summary, QuickBooks Online proves to be the ultimate solution for managing financial transactions. Well done!
In my view, the major disadvantage is its limited availability solely on the internet. Absence of internet access or an unstable connection can leave one in a disadvantageous position. There are instances where the system may seem sluggish, but this is an issue that can be resolved. Personally, I desire an alternative that is more reasonably priced, as even the most basic choice appears to be quite costly.
By having the ability to access financial data in real-time from any location, it greatly assists me in fostering collaboration with clients and delivering current insights, thus improving the efficiency, collaboration, and overall effectiveness of managing my clients' financial matters.
As the individual charged with ensuring positive coordination and project flow, I also find Asana particularly useful for its ability to support collaboration. The Gantt chart allows our team to comfortably arrange and display the tasks, which is essential in order for planning to be effective. The headcount reveals all the activities within a outlined project that will hence gives us an insight on whether or not we are employing our very supplementary resource because everyone understands well. This reliable tool has greatly revised the way we handle our projects and tasks.
Nonetheless, there are also areas in Asana that need improvement. It does not contain strong reporting features with respect to BurnUps and sprints for Agile methodologies due to which it is not sturdy in agile project management. In addition, the restrictions on its API and the price of more tailored solutions sometimes make it a bit costly particularly for larger teams such as ours at Globant.
Asana has helped is addressing a number of challenges when it comes to managing our projects. It makes it easier to follow multiple projects ensuring that nothing is missed. This results in proper management of resources, and at the end efficient delivery of project. Clarity in the project status as well as task management has been a major boost to our workflow spearheaded by this tool.
The availability of plenty tools. It is also easy to use and implement Asana. I also like the ability to assign and monitor each others progress. The customer support team are also helpful when in need of their help.
For now Asana is taking me in the right direction so no dislike.
Asana helps me manage my projects and am able to track work that came via email and by this I save allot of time that l could have wasted if l used other tools.
Asana is very complex as a tool in terms of its nonstop development and system creation, test for the final user it is super easy and visually attractive.

To start off, Asana has so many features it's hard to just pick one as my favorite. One of my top favorite features is the ability to plan projects with timelines, assigning tasks, and then referencing the project year to year so we don't have to reinvent the wheel every year. We put tasks on repeat so it's awesome to not have to remember. Our team also enjoys the messaging feature as we have found it's a secure place to share pertinent information. We use it daily and it helps me, as a manager, track tasks and projects for our employees to keep everyone accountable.
One thing we found challenging was implementation. It's a lot of work on the front end to get everyone on board-depending on the size of your organization. The other problem we've found is we have multiple boards for one thing, it would be nice if there was a 'duplicate detector' so we didn't have duplicates. It was easy to get carried away and excited to use Asana.
It's helping us keep on track with projects and keeps the team accountable. It also helps us collaborate daily and organize our plan to execute new initiatives in the office.
How verstile and customizable it is. I really apprecaite the numerous and quick help videos available and the productivity webinar that allowed us to work in our Asana account in real time with real help! That is TRUE customer support. Thanks for that.
The downside to Asana is the many different capabilities there are so in the begininning it was definitely overwhelming BUT thankfully my leader was able to provide baby steps and then guide us to Asana's help desk for further information which helped me feel more confident to figure it out, rather than depend on her every second I wanted to create a project or task.
The feeling of overwhelm!! I would frequently think, I had SOOOO MUCH to get done and as soon as I organized the steps (tasks) and assign the to others, everything began to flow with ease and I was excited to work!
