Closely Expert Review

Closely advertises “40% off” for annual billing, and its two middle plans deliver 31.5% and 29.3%. Starter genuinely saves 40.8% and the Custom configurator saves 41.1% — so the badge is honest at both ends and wrong in the middle, where most buyers land. Essential drops from $205 to $145 a month, which is 29.27%, more than ten points short. The reason is structural rather than sneaky: Growth and Essential bundle bonus credits, and credits are already cheaper annually, so the packaged discount lands lower. It is still worth committing — just not for the reason the badge gives.

  • What it is: LinkedIn and email outreach automation with a built-in contact database.
  • Best for: Agencies — white-label is included on every plan, including the $49 one.
  • Pricing: $49–$205/month, or $29–$145 billed annually; Custom from $49. Verified August 2026.
  • The honest catch: The advertised 40% only applies to the cheapest plan and the configurator.

What Is Closely?

Closely is a multichannel sales engagement platform built around LinkedIn automation plus email. You connect LinkedIn accounts, build conditional sequences that mix connection requests, messages and emails, and run them from a shared inbox.

Two things distinguish it structurally. Every plan includes unlimited email accounts — you are metered on LinkedIn seats, not mailboxes — and each LinkedIn account gets a dedicated residential IP plus warmup, which is the standard defence against LinkedIn’s automation detection.

The feature list is consistent across tiers: unlimited campaigns, conditional sequence builder, OAuth Gmail/Outlook and custom SMTP, smart inbox, team management, advanced analytics, CRM integrations and webhooks.

The Findstack listing carries 184 user reviews, a solid independent sample.

How Closely Works

Three named plans and a fully configurable Custom tier:

Starter Growth (Most popular) Essential Custom
Monthly $49 $127 $205 from $49
Annually (per month) $29 $87 $145 from $29
Billed annually $348/yr $1,044/yr $1,740/yr
LinkedIn accounts 1 3 5 0–30, slider
Email accounts Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited
Bonus credits/month 3,000 5,000 0–100,000, slider
White label

Credits convert at a fixed rate: 1 email = 4 credits, 1 phone number = 20 credits, 1 AI personalization = 2 credits. So Growth’s 3,000 credits buy 750 emails or 150 phones or 1,500 personalizations, and Essential’s 5,000 buy 1,250 / 250 / 2,500.

White label — custom domain, colours and logo — is included on every plan. In a category where rebranding is almost always an enterprise upsell, having it on a $49 tier is genuinely unusual and the single best reason an agency would look here.

Closely Pricing

Closely’s pricing page showing Starter at $49, Growth at $127, Essential at $205 and a Custom plan at $350 per month, with a Monthly/Annually toggle badged 40% off

The badge is right at the edges and wrong in the middle

Bar chart of Closely’s actual annual savings: 41.14% on Custom, 40.82% on Starter, 31.50% on Growth and 29.27% on Essential, against a flat 40% off badge

Plan Monthly Annually Actual saving
Starter $49 $29 40.82%
Growth $127 $87 31.50%
Essential $205 $145 29.27%
Custom (10 seats) $350 $206 41.14%

The toggle says 40% off for all four.

Starter and Custom deliver it. Growth falls 8.5 points short and Essential 10.7 points short — and Essential is the most expensive published plan, so the gap costs real money: at a true 40%, Essential would be $123 a month rather than $145, a difference of $264 a year.

This is not arbitrary. Growth and Essential are the plans carrying bonus credits, and credits are separately discounted on annual billing — so the blended percentage lands lower. The discount is real either way; the badge simply is not a single number.

The Custom configurator prices identically to the named plans

Closely’s Custom tier has two sliders — LinkedIn accounts (0–30) and credits (0–100,000) — and driving them reveals exactly how the pricing works.

With credits at zero, monthly:

LinkedIn accounts Custom price Named plan at same count
1 $49 Starter — $49
3 $127 Growth — $127
5 $205 Essential — $205
10 $350
20 $640
30 $999

The named plans cost exactly what the configurator charges for the same number of seats — and then include the bonus credits free. Credits price at a flat $10 per 1,000 monthly, so Growth’s 3,000 credits are a $30 gift and Essential’s 5,000 a $50 gift against building the same thing yourself.

That is a genuinely good structure, and worth knowing: do not configure a Custom plan at 1, 3 or 5 seats — the packaged plan is the same price with credits thrown in.

One caveat on that gift. Annually, credits drop to $6 per 1,000, so Essential’s 5,000 bonus credits are worth $30 rather than $50 — which is precisely why its headline discount comes out at 29%. The bonus is worth less on the annual plan.

Per-seat cost improves, then reverses

Divide the configurator’s price by seat count:

LinkedIn accounts Monthly Per account
1 $49 $49.00
5 $205 $41.00
10 $350 $35.00
20 $640 $32.00
30 $999 $33.30

The cheapest per-seat rate is at 20 accounts, and it gets worse again at 30. The marginal rate runs $39 per seat from 1–5, drops to $29 from 5–20, then climbs back to $35.90 for seats 21–30.

So there is a sweet spot, and it is not at the top of the slider. If you are sizing between 20 and 30 seats, check whether you actually need the extra ones — at 30 accounts you are paying more per seat than at 20, which is the opposite of how volume pricing usually behaves.

Credits, by contrast, are perfectly linear: $10 per 1,000 monthly at every volume from 1,000 to 100,000, with no discount for buying more.

What actually decides your cost

  • How many LinkedIn accounts you run — the only real meter, at $29–$39 each.
  • Whether you land on 1, 3 or 5 seats, where a packaged plan beats the configurator.
  • How many credits you need beyond the bonus, at a flat $10/1,000 monthly or $6/1,000 annually.
  • Billing cadence, worth 29%–41% depending on plan.
  • Not email accounts — unlimited on every tier.
  • Not white label — included everywhere.

Who Should Use Closely

Closely fits agencies best, and the reason is white label. Custom domain, colours and logo on a $49 plan is close to unheard of; competitors typically gate rebranding behind $200+ tiers or an enterprise conversation. Combine that with unlimited email accounts and a per-LinkedIn-seat meter and the economics for running client campaigns are strong.

It also fits a sales team scaling LinkedIn outreach across several reps. The dedicated residential IP per account plus warmup is the right architecture for that, and the configurator means you can price 12 or 18 seats without a sales call.

It fits badly for anyone whose outreach is email-first. You pay per LinkedIn seat whether or not you use it, so a team sending only email would be buying a meter it does not need — and the credits that cover email sending are a separate cost on top.

It also fits badly at the very top of the slider, where per-seat cost rises again, and for buyers who need transparency on what happens above 30 accounts — the slider simply stops there.

Honest Pros and Cons

What works well:

  • White label included on every plan, including the $49 Starter.
  • Unlimited email accounts on all tiers — you are metered on LinkedIn seats only.
  • A dedicated residential IP and warmup per LinkedIn account.
  • The named plans include bonus credits free — worth $30 on Growth, $50 on Essential monthly.
  • A real configurator, so 12 or 18 seats can be priced without contacting sales.
  • Credits price linearly at $10/1,000, with a clear conversion to emails, phones and personalizations.
  • Starter and Custom genuinely deliver the advertised 40%.
  • Free trial on every plan, with no demo required.
  • 184 Findstack user reviews.
  • Feature parity across tiers — sequences, smart inbox, analytics, CRM integrations and webhooks are not gated.

What to watch:

  • The “40% off” badge is worth 31.5% on Growth and 29.3% on Essential.
  • Essential’s annual discount is the worst on the page, costing $264 a year against a true 40%.
  • Bonus credits are worth less annually ($6/1,000 rather than $10), which is what dilutes the discount.
  • Per-seat cost rises above 20 accounts — $32.00 at 20 against $33.30 at 30.
  • Credits carry no volume discount at any quantity up to 100,000.
  • The configurator stops at 30 LinkedIn accounts with no published route beyond.
  • Starter includes no credits at all, so every email, phone lookup and personalization is extra.

Closely Alternatives and How It Compares

  • lemlist is the closest multichannel comparison, stronger on email deliverability and priced per user rather than per LinkedIn account.
  • Instantly is email-first with unlimited mailboxes — the better choice if LinkedIn is secondary for you.
  • Apollo.io bundles a much larger contact database with sequencing, so it replaces both Closely and a data vendor.
  • Expandi and HeyReach are the direct LinkedIn-automation rivals, both also using dedicated IPs; HeyReach in particular targets agencies with seat-based pricing.
  • Dripify and Waalaxy sit at the cheaper, lighter end for individual users rather than teams.

None of Expandi, HeyReach, Dripify or Waalaxy currently has a Findstack listing, so those are named without links. The comparison that matters: Closely meters LinkedIn seats and gives email away; most email-first tools do the reverse. If your motion is genuinely multichannel, price both meters before choosing — and factor white label in, because that is where Closely’s entry plan is hardest to beat.

The Verdict

Closely is a well-built LinkedIn-led outreach platform with two structural decisions that favour the buyer: unlimited email accounts on every plan, and white label included from $49. For an agency running client campaigns under its own brand, that second one is worth more than any discount on this page.

The pricing page’s flaw is its headline. “40% off” is accurate on Starter (40.82%) and on the Custom configurator (41.14%), but Growth saves 31.50% and Essential 29.27% — the two plans in the middle, where most buyers land. On Essential that gap is $264 a year against what the badge implies. The cause is legible once you drive the configurator: those plans bundle credits, credits are already cheaper annually, and the blended number comes out lower.

Two things the configurator makes clear that the cards do not. At 1, 3 or 5 seats the named plans cost exactly what Custom charges for the seats alone, with the bonus credits free — so never configure Custom at those sizes. And per-seat cost bottoms at 20 accounts ($32.00) and rises again at 30 ($33.30), so the volume curve reverses at the top of the slider.

So price your seat count first, then check the cadence separately rather than trusting the badge. Annual billing is still clearly worth taking on every plan — 29% is a real discount — but if you are choosing between Growth and Essential on the strength of a promised 40%, the actual numbers are worth ten minutes of your own arithmetic before you commit for a year.

FAQ

How much does Closely cost?

Four options. Starter is $49/month (1 LinkedIn account, unlimited email accounts, white label, no credits). Growth is $127/month (3 LinkedIn accounts, 3,000 bonus credits). Essential is $205/month (5 LinkedIn accounts, 5,000 credits). Custom is configurable from 0–30 LinkedIn accounts and 0–100,000 credits, starting at $49. Billed annually those become $29, $87 and $145 a month — $348, $1,044 and $1,740 a year. Every plan has a free trial.

Does Closely’s annual plan really save 40%?

Only on two of the four. Starter saves 40.82% ($49 → $29) and the Custom configurator saves 41.14% ($350 → $206 at ten seats), both matching the badge. But Growth saves 31.50% ($127 → $87) and Essential just 29.27% ($205 → $145). The shortfall is because those plans bundle bonus credits, which are separately cheaper on annual billing, diluting the headline percentage. Annual is still worth taking — the badge is simply not one number.

How do Closely’s credits work?

Credits are consumed at fixed rates: 1 email = 4 credits, 1 phone number = 20 credits, 1 AI personalization = 2 credits. So Growth’s 3,000 monthly credits buy 750 emails, or 150 phone numbers, or 1,500 personalizations. Extra credits cost a flat $10 per 1,000 on monthly billing and $6 per 1,000 annually, with no volume discount at any quantity up to 100,000. Starter includes no credits at all.

Should I use Closely’s Custom plan or a named plan?

Use the named plan at 1, 3 or 5 LinkedIn accounts. The configurator charges exactly the same for the seats — $49, $127 and $205 respectively — and the named plans add the bonus credits for free, worth $30 on Growth and $50 on Essential at monthly rates. Custom only makes sense at counts the named plans do not cover, such as 8, 12 or 20 seats. Note that per-seat cost is lowest at 20 accounts ($32.00) and rises to $33.30 at 30.

Does Closely include white labelling?

Yes, on every plan including the $49 Starter — custom domain, colours and logo. This is unusual for the category, where rebranding is normally reserved for enterprise tiers or charged as an add-on, and it is the main reason an agency running campaigns under its own brand would choose Closely over a comparable LinkedIn automation tool. Unlimited email accounts are likewise included at every tier.

"Game changer - Efficient outreach automation on LinkedIn"
What do you like best about Closely?

The effieincy and ease to automate outreach campaigns on LinkedIn is a key advantage. With few steps, anyone is able to set an effective automation campaign and target different demographics efficiently. Don't need to be tech-savvy, Closely allow us to set all in motion, and get better results than mailing campaigns alone since it relies on actual data. Aditionally, the proxy assignation is excellent since it helps to avoid Linkedin limitations and account banning.

What do you dislike about Closely?

The app needs more features, but they are continuously adding features and developing the platform, so it's just a matter of time. However, I would like to see more granular options to personalize campaigns. Aisde from that, its a reliable solution for anyone.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

It help me to expand my network on Linkedin efficiently, reach out to more relevant markets and to scale results due to automation and personalization features on the platform.

"The Safe Way to Scale Immature Linkedin Accounts"
What do you like best about Closely?

I like Closely because it is a powerful- but safe- LinkedIn automation tool that helps me to find, engage, and convert leads more effectively. Here are some of the things I like most about Closely: Ease of use: Closely is very easy to use, even for beginners (like me). The interface is clean and intuitive, and the onboarding process is well-designed. Wide range of features: Closely offers a wide range of features to help you with lead generation and outreach, including: LinkedIn campaigns: Create automated LinkedIn campaigns to reach out to your target audience. Lead finder: Find prospects who are a good fit for your business (I've never used this but I'm glad it's an option) Inbox: A unified inbox for managing all of your LinkedIn messages. Email automation: Send automated email campaigns to your leads (I use Instantly, but am pleased email is a part of the package) Excellent customer support: Closely has excellent customer support. I have always received quick and helpful responses to my questions.

What do you dislike about Closely?

It is a little basic compared to Expandi and Smartlead. The sequences and templates available are not as developed.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

Closely helps me warmup and scale new Linkedin accounts without too much risk of being banned by Linkedin. Closely automates many of the time-consuming manual tasks involved in lead generation, such as finding prospects, sending messages, and tracking results. This frees up my employees to focus on more high-value activities, such as lead nurturing.

"Closely is the LinkedIn Holy Grail"
What do you like best about Closely?

I like that it puts my LinkedIn growth on autopilot without going crazy and getting me banned. I like the static IP and the way that they start off by warming up your account before going full speed with connections. I LOVE the team-Alex and Maria are fantastic-and I really appreciate all of the LinkedIn content on their blog and their Youtube channel. I have learned a lot of what you can and can't do on LinkedIn from them.

What do you dislike about Closely?

I don't really have much in the way of dislikes. I signed up knowing it was a good product with a great team. And since I had already chatted with the team I knew the roadmap and their plans for it. I bought into a great product and it is only getting better.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using Closely to safely grow my LinkedIn without spending 3 hours a day in it. I set up some searches and campaigns and it automatically goes out to them and sends my first message. If they respond I then take over to actually chat with them. Some people are anti-automation but then they go and have their secretary or VA do all their LinkedIn. Doesn't make much sense right? Instead, I can far more cost-effectively grow my LinkedIn network by first doing the grunt work with Closely and then stepping in to do the actual personal work. If you want to run your LinkedIn in an efficient manner then get Closely. Also getting Closely for family members this year, it just makes sense to help them grow their networks.

"Epic networking tool"
What do you like best about Closely?

The set up was easy and the results come soon. I've personally gained 172 Linkedin connections over 1 month and 10 days of using Closely. I've been using it for personal networking but it would also work well for B2B businesses networking over Linkedin.

What do you dislike about Closely?

Sometimes the icon that lingers on your screen when you're using Linkedin can be distracting, especially when you're studying a course and it's there while the video is playing.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

I just moved to a new country so I desperately needed to create a network of fellow copywriters in my region. I used Closely to send connection requests to people using their location and job title. I've gained many connections and some of them have even reached out to me about giving me freelance work.

Closely is an easy-to-use tool that will save you hours of work and will get your business to the next level. I used to spend hours manually connecting with influencers and potential clients on LinkedIn. With Closely, I just set up my LinkedIn profile and let the software do all the hard work for me. I highly recommend it. I love that I can see all the messages directly inside Closely and can even reply from the tool itself without visiting LinkedIn. I also love that it offers a free trial period, so you can try out the product to see if it's right for your business.

What do you dislike about Closely?

There is not much that I didn't like about this tool. I wish they had a feature where I would auto withdraw requests after x number of days.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to see all of my LinkedIn messages in one place is extremely helpful. I can manage and keep track of my multiple LinkedIn accounts with ease. Previously, I had to login to each individual account to see new messages and reply to them. This process was time-consuming and frustrating. Now, I can login to my main account and see all messages from my other accounts in one place. I can even reply to messages directly from my main account. This saves me a lot of time and makes using LinkedIn much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this feature to anyone who has multiple LinkedIn accounts. It is definitely worth using!

"Secret LinkedIn Weapon that you don't want others to know about."
What do you like best about Closely?

Closely is simply easy and effective. I have used many related tools in the past, but this one shines the most. To avoid any restrictions, they have included a dedicated proxy as well.

What do you dislike about Closely?

Social giants like LinkedIn don't like any kind of automation. So, I am doubtful if they may ban it in the future. I just wish this tool to survive. This is no con, but probably the universal con for any tool of this kind.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

I was able to grow my network with 1000 additional contacts in just 6 weeks.

"Best Linkedin Automation Tool"
What do you like best about Closely?

- Tool was extremely easy to setup - Automation is seamless and also has limits to prevent from Linkedin spam reporting you - UI and UX of the platform is very user friendly - They allow for custom mail merges - They allow you to see your Linkedin inbox and connections within the platform itself

What do you dislike about Closely?

- There are very few cons, but perhaps adding in the ability to integrate closely with campaigns from other tools like Lemlist?

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Closely allows me to automate my cold outreach on Linkedin and engage my prospects more effectively

"Very Easy to Use for LinkedIn Lead Gen"
What do you like best about Closely?

The learning curve isnt steep with this tool, you can pick it up very quickly and get a campaign running in a matter of minutes. Also the fact that its cloud based adds that extra bit of security. The support was very quick and helpful to reply to a question on my first day of using it, so far so good!

What do you dislike about Closely?

At the moment, I cant realy say I have any issues with it, software seems like a bargain.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me to expand my outreach to different people, markets and industries.

"A terrific LinkedIn automation tool"
What do you like best about Closely?

Closely is one of the most awesome LinkedIn automation tools that pretty much does what it is supposed to. 1. Has built-in throttle 2. Has warm-up system 3. Never exceeds LinkedIn limits 4. Server-based automation 5. Doesn't require a proxy

What do you dislike about Closely?

There's honestly not a lot to dislike about closely. The only thing is didn't like is that the team doesn't put out frequent updates. Oh, and you'd have to log in to your LinkedIn account using their portal which can be a bummer for a few people.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helped me build my network on LinkedIn. I have been using it for quite some time. And it has already delivered me 3 clients. It allowed me to build my network among the SaaS community on LinkedIn

"Great tool for Linkedin"
What do you like best about Closely?

The best thing about Closely is that it allows me to automate my LinkedIn outreach, which saves me a lot of time. I don’t have to choose contacts or send messages anymore. Plus, all this is run on the cloud, which is the most significant advantage, in my opinion.

What do you dislike about Closely?

Some features I wish Closely had are the ability to auto-cancel connection requests that are more than one month old, the ability to automate profile visits, and the ability to create custom automation sequences on LinkedIn, that could automate a decision tree-type of automation. But I'm optimistic that some of these will be implemented, considering that they are constantly adding new features and functionality.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

Closely is benefiting me by saving me a lot of time on LinkedIn outreach. I’m able to connect with more people without having to put in as much effort, which is great.

"Closely is a Robotic BOSS for Linkedin Outreach"
What do you like best about Closely?

I am very impressed with Closely! It is extremely easy to set up different campaigns and the automation of the reach to right prospects on LinkedIn saves a lot of time. I like Closely because it helps us automate our lead management process and close more leads. We used to have a lot of manual work done by an assistant, and now it is all automated. The way it shows me who is most active in a campaign is also very helpful so that I know who I should be talking to next.

What do you dislike about Closely?

Nothing much. So far all good, Maybe they can work on UI little bit more.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

My overall experience has been great and the ream has been very responsive to any questions. I highly recommend this tool if anyone wants to step up his/her Linkedin growth.

"Simple Interface with Efficient Campaigns"
What do you like best about Closely?

Simple interface, quick to setup and effective. Closely has an intelligent set of rules to follow that make it a successful piece of software. For the price, it is well worth it versus the competitors.

What do you dislike about Closely?

I would like to see more campaign types as well as automatic responses for Birthdays, Promotions or Job changes so you can consistently engage your current network.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

They are starting to work on more features that benefit the software and its users in the long run. Closely makes it easy to automate the manual tasks of connecting to industry contacts.

"Closely is the safe way to scale the Awesome Power of LinkedIn Lead Generation"
What do you like best about Closely?

Closely is a remarkable automation tool. Simply works by initiating the 1-on-1 conversation. AND Closely doesn't use a chrome extension so the hazard of your account getting shut down is nearly zero. Closely's algorithms stays inside the 'safe zone' to ensure you don't risk the account.

What do you dislike about Closely?

There isn't much not to like and any feature I'd think of requesting is already on their product roadmap!

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

Closely puts my outreach and lead cultivation on auto-pilot while giving me the reassurance that no LinkedIn jailtime will be incurred!

I have been advised to work on my LinkedIn profile as a source of business. I am lazy but want safe automation. Closely outperforms all my needs in these 2 areas. I am really falling in love again with Linkedin thanks to the guidance of closely. Give it a try, you will not regret it.

"Best LinkedIn Automation and CRM Tool"
What do you like best about Closely?

I mostly like the easy process of LinkedIn automation without the limit of 100 connection requests per week. Its message sequencing and message templates are really fantastic, Campaign setup and campaign goal setup are excellent too. I also love the clean and nice user interface of Closely and the low learning curve to use it. In a nutshell, Closely is a great automation tool for LinkedIn Automation.

What do you dislike about Closely?

Actually, there is nothing to mention as a downside of Closely. But, I think that the subscription limit seems a little bit lower to me. So, I recommend there should be more credit limit. I also recommend developing integration.

What problems is Closely solving and how is that benefiting you?

As I am a Social Media Marketer, I need to conduct my outreach campaign regularly. Before using Closely, I had to outreach on LinkedIn by sending connection requests manually. But using Closely I don't have to do anything manually. The automation and CRM of Closely are saving my money, time, and effort enormously.
