Great user platform for me and my clients. Very professional and easy to use.

Wish there was an option for less $/month. I have my own methods for tracking time, etc., so I would be interested in a streamlined option that just allows me to send clients proposals and invoices, as well as track my expenses.

Helps keep my expenses organized and tracks my proposals and invoices.

The ease of use for finances words I don't know. The power of the reporting. The organization of the system and information. Everything I need is on my dashboard ready for me. It is so easy to scroll over something and it shows me more detailed information. It is so easy to make quick edits to journal entries and cash flow tracking. I love the colors, the simplistic design, the easy to read and clean fonts. The helpful support team.

Literally nothing. The best part is that if there is an issue or I have an idea for improvement, I can message support and it gets fixed. I thought long and hard about this and my answer is nothing.

My finances. It is so easy to see it all in one place. Let me be honest, my dad is an accountant. I am a teacher. I knew nothing about accounting even living with my dad for most of my life. Freshbooks makes me feel competent to talk to him about the finances of my new business because I understand my books and can explain them to him.

i use it to keep my daily time sheets. love the time tracker extension for Chrome. I love how easy it is for me to track my time and invoice easily.

Freshbooks is so asy to use, from tracking hours to generating reports - it has everything I need as a freelancer/small design agency. It is also scalable, so I can add customers to the interface as I grow.

I wish there was a native Mac OS app to use a timer to track hourly work. Other than that, everything works great.

Credit card payments have been so easy with Freshbooks. It makes receiving payments easy for myself and my clients, and I am gettingcpaid a lot faster!

My needs for FreshBooks are very simple; my business is small and my tracking and invoicing needs are simple. Still, when I cannot figure out how to do something (because I am not tech savvy at all) FreshBooks is only a call away, and I receive friendly and efficient help. This is worth a lot to me.

I cannot think of anything I have not liked.

FreshBooks is the first program I have tried that simply organizes my clients, billing and payments, in a way that is appealing from a graphics standpoint and helps me see my business activity at a glance.

All of it! User friendly, dependable, the project timer.

My only complaint is not being able to associate an expense with a project. Right now, you can only associate it with a client.

Mostly just saves me a ton of time and keeps up with time, expenses, and overdue invoices so I don't have to. Makes tax time at least 10% less nightmarish.

How easy it is to get the answers I need. It's easy to reach a real human on the phone when I can't find the answer in the FAQ database. Any anytime I simply call, no matter how simple my question I'm never harassed by support that I should have looked more before calling. They also reach out to me with new solutions that may help save me money or time. Self Populating Line items. THEY SAVE ME SO MUCH TIME!

Needing to delete clients when I reach capacity makes me nervous. I have a lot of 1-2 time clients and I am always nervous about how that can affect reports I run. As with other online invoice services there is confusion from some clients when they look for past invoices. They forget if invoices came from me directly or through freshbooks.com. Recently I have gotten in the habit of following up with an email that includes the link to the invoice along with a PDF copy that they can easy download.

Beyond saving time and having a solid system I can rely on; I love the reporting options I have when it comes time to evaluate things for quarterly taxes and yearly taxes. I really appreciate having a backup of my credit card transactions into another source.

Extremely easy to create client accounts, record and review time entries and generate invoices.

Nothing negative to say about your software. It's excellent.

Keeping track every day of my work done.

One of the features I like best about Freshbooks is being able to easily create proposals which can be duplicated and modified from project to project then converted to an invoice once accepted. Being able to accept credit cards directly through the platform has drastically cut down the amount of time it takes for a client to pay me. The Freshbooks app is also really nice - I mostly use it on a desktop but especially when travelling it's nice to be able to check in on our books from my phone.

I wish that you could add attachments to an invoice rather than just the proposal - this would be helpful when sending receipts for project related expenses to clients. There could also be some improvement of the expense categories - I often have to go in and manually categorize expenses that fall into "uncategorized".

I use to create a custom proposal for every client from scratch, then send a custom invoice and accept payments through any number of services which would make bookkeeping more difficult to keep track of; having everything in one place has cut down on the amount of time I take on pitching to clients and keeps me aware of what's in the pipeline vs how much I'm spending. I have loved being able to integrate Freshbooks with other programs like Google Drive and Asana through Zapier to kick off business processes once a project is started and keep clean information throughout all softwares.

Estimates can easily become invoices easily. It really does streamline the workflow.

I don't like the "edit client" feature - I have run into uses with accidentally editing the client (and replacing the old client with a new client) as opposed to "changing the client". This has led to my unintentionally adding a new person to the email list for that client.

Timesheets has been an issue, but actually, Freshbook's very simple user interface makes it easy.

I like how Freshbooks is very easy to use and it is very affordable!

I dislike how you have to upgrade depending on how many clients you have. I wish there was a fixed cost no matter how many clients you are invoicing.

We can get invoices paid quickly. We like their recurring invoice feature. Easy to use dashboard.

The ease of use. We love Freshbooks as we have never had issues using it or sending proposals to clients.

I do not like that there are no other options like scheduling and other things.

Auto Invoicing and people can store their credit card and I dont have to deal with the security of it.

I’ve used FreshBooks for the past 3 years as a freelance designer. It’s super easy to invoice clients and track expenses. I send the reports generated from Freshbooks to my accountant at tax time.

The limit of 5 clients for $160/year is definitely a downside and quite frankly annoying. I’m having to delete and add clients depending on how many I have active.

As a fledgling business owner, Freshbooks is so user-friendly. Everything is laid out in front of me and quick to understand. On the off chance that I don't understand it, I can contact customer service and they are quick to respond, friendly, and oh so helpful! I work on many projects at hourly rates for a variety of clients. The fact that I can organize all of these and really make sure that everything is correctly accounted for saves me so much time. I also save time during tax season because I account for all of my expenses on Freshbooks. This helps me because I can simply send my accountant all of the necessary info with just a login and password for Freshbooks!

When I started using Freshbooks, I really liked the software that showed a bar graph when keeping track of time spent on projects. I am a visual learner so it was easy to see which days I clocked the most hours and for whom. It also took fewer steps to create a new project, not that that is a big deal now, but I really liked the way that was laid out. After that, though, I don't have anything else that I particularly dislike about Freshbooks.

The biggest problem I have solved with Freshbooks is time tracking. I work hourly for clients and sometimes I bill for two minutes, others for 6 hours. Freshbooks helps me to account for every minute of my time to make sure I am not short-changing myself AND it helps keep me honest for my clients (ie: if I worked on something for 18 minutes, I am less likely to round up to 20 because my Freshbooks timer timed me). I appreciate that I can keep all of my business information in one spot. Invoices, hours worked, expense...all of these are things I check over to constantly make sure I am staying within budget and making good use of my time. If I didn't have Freshbooks to help me with that, I would be bouncing back and forth between spreadsheets and bank account logins.

It's UI is great! Super intuitive and easy to use.

The desktop site is very easy to understand and work with, it's setup in such a way that it's very user-friendly. Generating estimates and converting them to invoices has been an invaluable tool for us. Adding clients is very simple. Changing one invoice from another and the payment terms/options, late fees are all very easy to use. It would be great if Freshbooks would add the ability for the discount attributed to an invoice only apply to the original invoice amount, so if an invoice is late, the late fee isn't also discounted. Or assess the late fee differently so that it's tabulated post discount. Otherwise, we have to go in and manually change the amount which often leads to losing money because the fraction changes. Better yet, allow for discounts to be in dollars or percentage.

The mobile and tablet versions sometimes have issues syncing properly which is something that most apps can have issues with. However, it would be great if there were additional functionalities in the mobile and tablet versions like being able to select invoices by most recent, draft, by client, etc currently it's supposed to be most recent, but it's un-selectable, and it doesn't actually show the most recent, it will often have a jumbled list of invoices for example some of which are ancient but they may or may not have been accessed recently. This can also sometimes be an issue with the desktop version, if I search for an expense like rent it will often display rents from several months if not years ago instead of the most recent rent expense, this can at least be ameliorated by refining the search parameters, but it's annoying to have to do that..
