Compare Omnisend with other popular tools in the same category.
Omnisend is easy for an e-commerce novice like me and offers plenty of resources to teach users how to optimize their marketing.
If you are not regularly using Omnisend, the monthly fees are high.
Omnisend makes it easy to create presentable, templated marketing campaigns.
This is the most up-to-date and cutting-edge email marketing software I have used so far. It's pretty easy to learn and easy to use. I like that it is able to clean up existing email lists and ensures that you are sending quality emails to quality lists.
The software only allows you to use its features on one website. This was deeply disappointing because my business has always had more than one site to promote and sell our services. They don't even offer a universal embed code for online forms that can be used on more than one site. I know we're not the only business that has more than one website, so I hope they eventually allow you to integrate the software in more than one place.
Ominisend is allowing us to automate an email newsletter in ways we couldn't do before.
Creates targeted and personalized email campaigns for our target audience. We can create multiple audience segments based on our requirements. The tool is very user-friendly.
It integrates with only popular Ecom platforms. The tool is a bit expensive. Also, Limited functionality for non-e-commerce businesses
I can easily segment their audience based on various factors. Helps us to create highly targeted and personalized campaigns that are more likely to drive large no. of conversions. Helps to improve marketing effectiveness, customer engagement & ultimately increases business revenue
The pre-made newsletters, that enable you to save time when preparing yours.
It took me a while to figure out how to do some things, like configure my automatic emails and such.
it allows me to communicate with my clients and customers.
Intuitive and easy to use. I like all the features and the functionalities.
Nothing, comparing the price with functionality is amazing. The only thing could be that Adobe Magento integration is not so easy as for Shopify stores.
Making working marketing automation with smart segmentation & triggering
the easiest way to migrate all the info from one site to omnisend and the support I receive when in doubt.
that I can't reschedule the campaigns once they're sent or programmed
Is solving my need of marketing automations and sending the emails to my subscribers
It's easy to create emails and I have found the learning curve to be good.
The new templates do not allow for personalization. For example, I am not able to add a picture where I would like when using the templates.
I currently do not have any problems that Omnisend is solving for me.
Value for price. In comparision, Omnisend pricing is fair.
Too little template options. I wish we had a choice of more templates to work with as these are limited at the moment.
Mass emailing and scheduling is a big pro
Omnisend has great automations to help boost sales and traffic. I've definitely found a benefit to using omnisend because of the automation. The pop ups also help bring new customers.
At times it can be a bit buggy, I've found issues when creating emails that just make it take longer which I don't enjoy
It helps improve my business sales with the automation and gives some time back to me to work on things more important
The power it has in automations and the multiple integrations it has with ecommerce.
That Prestashop does not have an automatic connector, and integration via API is required.
It is helping me to automate email flows with customized and automatic events.
Extremely intuitive, simply to use, full of detailed imformation and when you send a newsletter out its amazing to watch the live results.
When you ask a question twice to support and get no answer, this is the most frustrating issue. Even when you reply direct to a support agent. Must improve.
Omnisend solves my product launch and continues to bring in sales with it automation while I work on other jobs.
Ease of use to drag and drop items into mailers.
I would prefer to even have more customisation over fonts and being able to put your own branded fonts onto Omnisend
It is assisting in sending out weekly mailers with information, news and blog posts from one source.
Analytics tools that make it easier for user
If possible, make more insights for improving growth
To make it easy for businesses to reach customer
Easy to use and practical Good online tools Good results & Result reporting
Some integrations for Bigcommerce should be better CS doesn't offer a detailed solution/integration and sometimes just premade answers
Tracking of conversions Discount code push notification Automated email
My favourite aspect is the heat maps and being able to see who clicked on my email exactly and where they clicked. I am able to pinpoint and reach specific customers this way.
The least helpful tool in Omnisend would be the customer limit on your account. I have to upload and remove customers often to keep the number below the limit count. I can send 18000 emails a month but only to X amount of customers, I have to always upload and delete. Minor issue.
Reaching out to thousands of customers daily that may not know about my services and what I offer. I am able to reach out to these people and expand my list of services as well.
It has been great so far! We switched from MailChimp, and it has been easier to integrate into our Shopify website. No issues, and slightly cheaper.
Everything is working well. No feedback as of now.
It connects my shopify products directly to the email.
The dragon and drop form system is useful when we don't have expert designers on staff. Allows us to quickly produce and send mass updates or newsletters to all of our customers.
The system is tailored for ecommerce and i understand that but if there were more options for users like myself who are just sending updates / newsletters to customers that would be great.
Needed an affordable system to send mass emails things like mail chimp just cost far too much for what we are getting. I like the drag and drop form builder as well.
I like the pre-built automation & pre-built audience segments
I wish you could connect two Shopify stores to one email account (without having to swap between accounts) as this is something Mailchimp does. Otherwise, I wish you could add additional data to your audience, such as assigning customer lifetime value that isn't just a tag. I also would like the Shopify app to have functionality to stop certain emails from syncing to Omnisend either by domain or tag. I also would like more updated and better-looking email templates like Flowdesk. Also when adding images to emails, it's annoying not being able to drag and drop multiple images instead of having to click upload and the uploading one by one. Once again, this is standard in Mailchimp.
Helping nurture customers with automation and pre-built segments. I also really like all of the information on the Omnisend blog such as good subject lines, and the subject line checker
We like their straightforward functions on the platform. I have good experience using Omnisend so far. The staffs are friendly and patient in teaching us to navigate the platform. And the functions are easy to use, and we look forward to partnering with them for quite some time.
Some functions need some explanation and coaching to navigate through. But I won't say we dislike them.
Great for us to use for our email automation. We like using it.
I like the simplicity and specificity of the automation workflows. I can easily create automation with whatever condition I want. I also like the responsiveness and help of customer support.
I dislike how difficult it is to get started when you're not using a partnered web platform. Also, I dislike that I cannot customize to the extent I want in the email builder.
Omnisend is solving our problem of lost sales. With Omnisend, we are able to increase touchpoints and drive forgotten or unrealized sales.
I think how use friendly it is really is a big one for me. I have used other email builders that definitely weren't as easily changed as this. I love how it has the builder and the segments in one program
With each new update it seems it gets rid of a feature (or hides it) that I use all the time. For example the little scratch off part of the email. It isn't in (or easily seen) in the builder
Nothing in particular right now, but I have seen their customer service work before and have taken their webinars so I can only assume they are fixing something that will benefit me
It's very easy to create a workflow: we use it to manage the flow of our shop. We are also planning to use Omnisend for the other e-commerce we manage because it can help us to grow up.
Nowadays, there's nothing I don't like about Omnisend. It's very complete and easy to use. It can be integrated with many cms (we use shopify) and works well with them.
Omnisend helps us to manage smart automation for e-shop (abandoned cart, auto-generated code coupon etc.). It's a big opportunity for small business, because it's quite cheap.
The integration was easy. Automations are incredibly easy to set up as well! They've redone the home page giving a clearer understanding of email performance. Pricing is comparable to others. Overall, I like Omnisend in comparison to other well-known email providers that we've also used.
I would like to see categories for email types so we can see how one email type (i.e. newsletter) performs against another type (i.e. flash sales, new product intros, etc). They have basic pop-up options but I would like to see more options where we can use graphics we design and fully customize the pop-up. I'd like to see them get directly integrated with LeadPages.
They truly listen to customer requests and actively show progress towards meeting these requests. Their communication is stellar with upcoming changes/new features and their service has been top-notch!
You can save blocks that make it user-friendly. Customer support is very prompt and helpful.
Some creative yet basic features are lacking (eg: click to copy, view click map for automated journey emails etc.) and that would make it a go-to tool.
Automated journey templates, linked to Shopify for easy access, dashboard insights. Reduces time taken.
One of the things I've seen with Omnisend that I haven't seen with other platforms is the Booster function. It takes the guesswork out of sending an email to people who didn't engage with the first one which I really like.
The ability to gather data and reporting on customers and emails is difficult at times and complicated. My biggest issue though is the amount of work that goes into sending an A/B test for an email. This should be built into the segments or something so that I can simply send two emails to one segment and it'll divide it automatically. Creating a workflow and adding/deleting people from segments is far more complicated than it should and something I've never seen done. Also, you should be able to combine multiple segments into one for testing purposes instead of relying on tags.
We need to be able to reach our customers and send content that is engaging and effective at driving sales. With Omnisend, we are able to do that as well as track sales and where new email subscribers come from.
Email marketing is made very simple with a built-in drag and drop editor. The automation is also very simple to use allowing us to channel traffic through filters so emails are better tailored for customers.
I didn't find the onboarding process simple, moving from another email provider. Importing existing contacts did not work fantastically, support helped although the solution was long-winded.
Allows us to better tailor email marketing to our existing and newsletter subscribers. Our sales generated through email marketing has increased since switching to Omnisend.
That Omnisend has integrated most things
That the design options for forms are so limited. I am a design-based business and I need more control of this.
The simplicity of shooting off email campaigns. I am ADHD and get distracted easily. I never sent emails as regularly with Mailchimp.
Even more advanced than what Klaviyo offers in terms of layout. Features vary by template though.
No Split in Flows. Pro plan is expensive for small businesses like ours.
Email Campaigns & Flows are at par with Klaviyo (except for the split). Not able to create a segment very easily.
Pretty easy to navigate and plug & chug. I like the ease of moving sections and that I can simply copy email campaigns to repurpose for new ones (makes it easier to keep footer, logo and formatting in place so I don't have to redo). Customer service is also amazing! Quick to reply and very, very helpful with any question I've ever had!
A little more challenging to get acquainted with automation and workflows - took me a while to make edits to an automated email. I also feel fonts are a bit limited. I have to go in and adjust fonts/colors continually with each campaign which gets to be timely.
Better pricing with a tiered system vs other platforms.
Automation. Well-rounded report with data on timeline, clickmap, conversion details etc.
A bit complicated to learn how to use the first few times. Automation was deleted accidentally and cannot be undone.
I can now send promotion with complicated conditions. Also learn very useful data from the reports.
