Shopify is super simple to set up with a great out-of-the-box design for the product search results pages and the product detail pages. Setting up payment is straightforward as well.
Shopify's user interface for editing the design and visuals for the site's front end is not user-friendly. It's also quite limiting. In addition, almost every decent app available to install is not free, which is a big reason why a lot of the e-commerce sites I build go with WooCommerce instead—so many more plugins are free there.
Shopify makes it quick and easy for small businesses and website novices to spin up and launch an e-commerce website. Their native integrations for payments and shipping are unrivaled in the industry.
This tool helped me plan, organize and launch my business 👩💼
With the rates matched the devices and tools offered. There could be more!
We were able to organize our business and get e-commerce off the ground and have maintained success all from starting with this tool
Lots of information all in one place means the customer doesn't have to wander off to other sites for information. Links nicely to our desk (Gorgias). Easy to use and set up. Good apps available to integrate. Good analytics. Quite easy to get going with and set up.
Probably have to pay extra to get some simple things like font changes. On the whole, not too much we've found to dislike!
Having all our information in one place keeps the customers on our site longer without searching elsewhere. Being able to list all variants of products on one page is a great bonus. Being able to link to our desk (Gorgias) tailors everything nicely and provides great continuity.
- User interface - It is Easy to use - it Easy to make payments
- Logo - Icon - Color of Console - Content could be more
- Drop shipping - E-shopping
Almost every app integrates with Shopify
You have to install an app for every feature, including some that I feel should be part of Shopify's base features. Installing so many apps slows your website down
Shopify is a great e-commerce platform where we are able to sell our goods without disruption. People with little or no coding knowledge can still build a great website which is very helpful.
Shopify has in recent times erupted as a major e-commerce player in this industry. It has an easy-to-use interface that makes it possible for all users to easily use and navigate their tools to help build their e-commerce platform. The account creation is also very simple and requires fewer steps. Their easy-to-use functionalities help a lot while designing by adding or removing sections from a page.
1-Shopify has a 14-day free trial that makes it a little bit difficult to use. In my opinion, the trial period should be for a month to help a user decide on the product. 2-Also there is no support for any regional languages such as vernacular and etc that are widely used in India.
Shopify has a unique Inventory Management System that tracks inventory on a real-time basis and prevents the product from being out of stock when ads are run. This is done by keeping track of the number of commodities that are available at the moment. Also, we can view real-time data about purchases. Its inbuilt filters allow us to identify the consumer group that is engaged with our products and also identify their consumption pattern that can make them our repeat customers.
It lets anybody who is basically a beginner with zero experience of coding can start business here
Some of the plugins are not available in shopify

Shopify is a wonderfully easy-to-use platform that allows you to customize your store and sell via online marketplaces or social media. Its user-friendly platform makes it a great software for beginners with concise instructions and direction - less fluff, more of the basics.
Shopify is mainly good for small businesses or startup organizations which indeed makes it a great platform, but there are minor limitations to its offerings in comparison to other platforms. For example, there is no access to email hosting or free marketing automation (which means you will have to pay extra or utilize another platform).
Shopify helps turn business dreams into a reality. The platform allows you to create an online store in minutes helping users along the way in building and customizing their platform. I utilized Shopify as Customer Relations Specialist where I'd utilize Shopify to identify consumer trends and identify target demographics.
Shopify has the following best things:- 1. Very trustworthy brand which makes the sales easier. 2. Amamzing tool for email marketing. 3. The software is very easy to use.
There is nothing as such dislike but yes Couple of things can be improved:- 1. Data privacy can be improved. 2. Prices can be decreased for small vendor (trail period can be increased).
We have created shopify for selling the clothes online. The shopify gave us a good visibility in the digital marketplace space and it also helped us in doing markeing and customer aqustition.
Customer service is the best and resposive.
Sometimes products are not match the expectations and people got furious.
My money refund solution solved.
What I like the most is the templates provided by Shopify. Using those templates saves a lot of time as we did not have to create everything from scratch. It just took a few days to go live with our eCommerce business which is all due to Shopify platform.
Being in the SEO industry what I disliked the most about Shopify is that it doesn't provide many options for Search Engine Optimization. Comparing it to WordPress, it lacks behind when it comes to SEO.
With Shopify, we were able to create product catalogs, navigations, categories, cart functionality, online payments feature and many more other things which would be difficult to develop with custom coding. Also we used this platform for measuring sales, user sessions, online payment transactions and the growth of our eCommerce business and to increase the productivity of our employees working on the CMS.
It is easy to use, the most widely used platform for selling goods online. Easy for sellers, buyers, and the company.
I dont know anything yet that I dislike. So far so good.
Shopify helps sellers create their own online store, where they can customize things on their own. Its easy to use.
One of the best hosting and managing service for e-commerce with zero knowledge in coding.
Need to buy apps for every small change or feature on website.
Helping product creators or resellers to send their products to end users around the world.
I love how intuitive Shopify is when it comes to understanding my businesses. There is a wealth of information available in various forms whether its a dashboard or exported report there are so many ways to understand your business from so many angles.
One of my big dislikes in Shopify is that aside from the fraud analysis there aren't more features to prevent fraud; without purchasing a plugin. It's truly a missed opportunity even properly flagging users with multiple accounts would be helpful when understanding and navigating a customer profile
On the flip side, I love the flows that can be set up in Shopify. Flows have been a game changer as far as automating some very manual parts of the checkout process; for example, having a flow in place to cart check so that a person can't add more than 3 samples to their order has been a great way to ensure people aren't wiping out the inventory of certain samples (which happened prior to flow implementation)
Great services and templates and Apis support.
Its backend language which is liquid is not known by anyone. less developers
I think you need to change its language to any another language which many developers know e.g JS. so that we can get developers easily for any of ours project
its really flexible when it comes to setting up new ides of campaigns or promotions
as a data engineer everyting the marketing team tries new feature - it may take time to understand how the data is structured in the background
campaign's time-to-market
The dashboard is clean, easy to understand, and customize. Easy plans, no confusion, moreover on how to get started with building a website. Super easy to engage wiht the dashboard. Avaialibility of an app is also an add on. Launching od store will not take much time. Lots of FAQs and set up process available on internet as it is widely used platfrom over the globe. One more important things is excellent and quick sutomer support.
Very few free themes. Lots of paid apps and expensive themes. Order management could have been more easy. Heavy customizations might not work on shopify and vendors might switch to some other open source platforms like wordpress. Even if you can do customization, paid tools are very expensive. Customer support is only available on chats and mails and not on calls.
It's easy to build an e-commerce store on Shopify and worth referring to clients who want a hassle-free system. Great integration between avaialble apps - couriers, payment gateway, coupon apps and much more.
Shopify is very good with managing products from multiple suppliers and merging them all into one cohesive site. The interface is straightforward, and categorizing products is very beginner friendly.
The site builder tool, while intuitive, is VERY restricted. Users are limited to a small handful of templates, and the code seems intentionally convoluted so as to discourage any sort of customization.
Giving us a unified storefront for multiple vendor sources.
Shopify platform Creating the best Online E-commerce Business Solution Website. This is Easy to Configure the E-Commerce website and usable for the E-commerce platform. Shopify is very easy to integrate the Payment Mode Operation of the product. Shopify Products upload the customer Easy and User Friendly. E-Commerce are very fewer costs the development of clients. Shopify is the best security mentioned.
Shopify are dislike the product page management are confused the integration an market are some platform supported the Shopify E-Commerce.
Shopify problems solving the Product Configuration and payment Integration are Easy and user friendly.Shopify are familir the e-Commerce busness are affiliate the product are other platform.
The interface of the application is very simple and easy to use.
I think the percentage of the fees from the sales is too high
You have to pay extra for the features that are really the most helpful... but the benefit for me is that even if you are not tech-savvy, you can find your way around the site so easily.
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows its user to sell anything either online or through physical stores as well. It provides a software-based solution that helps the user to set up the business. But overall this platform is easy to use for non-technical personnel as well.
Talking about dislike of Shopify there are no subcategories provided and there are no gift cards offered to the customer as done by another platform to make the market and the themes are also not very good.
As such I have faced any major issues with this platform so I think there is nothing to resolve for me. Speaking about the benefits of Shopify it's an easy-to-navigate application that can be accessed from anywhere and allows you to grow your business through modern online solutions as well as through traditional ways.
It is the best application to create your own online store. It provides you with various themes which can be customized to meet your branding requirements and makes us to sell our products digitally.
I only dislike the interface of the website it can be more creative with different ideas. Sometimes it shows non useful stuff which is not configurable. Other things works fine.
I haven't been using this for my personal business but one of my cousin use shopify for selling his goods and services and I have seen his business growing day by day.
It is best for non-technical person. Various themes provided by shopify to increase the look of the website. In addition to this, we can intergrate different marketplaces and pull the orders in shopify. Various free apps are also available in shopify to enhance brand marketing.
Its is quite expensive. Customer can not use multiple discounts because only one discount per order is available by default. Can give choice to customer using atleast two discounts at a time
Time saving tool and can easily verify the orders and customer details. Best to manage the customers, their orders, feedbacks, coupons etc. new employees can quickly learn this software
Love the navigation and UI. The way that I am notified about my new orders in so many different ways is awesome too. Love the iPhone and iPad apps as they allow me to check orders and edit products and inventory on the go.
Would love to have some of the features that are offered as add-on apps baked into the Shopify app itslef.
The ease of fulfilling our orders is amazing. We also love being able to communicate directly with our customers through the Shopify website. This makes it easy to separate our e-commerce and wholesale customers.
The flexibility of use and being able to install multiple apps for whatever scenario.
A lot of the really useful features are reserved for Shopify Plus with a huge price increase.
Shopify provides a useful and easy tool to connect our store with multiple customers across the country.
We can design with the layout that can match your concepts,we can customize it easily, multiple customisation options are there which can be used without any coding. It is SEO friendly which will help your store good ranking on google search results.
you can not have more than 3 products more than 3 products adding will need to purchase the add on. Reporting feature is only available in expensive plans. basic plan involves very limited options to customize.
It helps to take your eCommerce business online providing all the e-commerce website facilities. In-built templates are very user-friendly and mobile responsive. you can sell to multiple countries as well. It also has email marketing tool which can help you to send emails to your top subscribers.
Shopping word has itself have much more power to create, design, distinguish, methodologies and so many to run a business, shopify places a crucial role in building such a sustainable business through customization according to the requirement.
The scope of improvement can start from much more customization tools and options such between size options you can segregated through countries too, and hence can create better market niche.
Building your own website takes a lot such as putting in coding strategies to exactly put in your idea or pitches, bit shopify has reduced all that task and cost, buy providing so many non-code options.
I have made numerous stores for individuals as well as my own shop and I have had no issues. They have been refreshing the organization for every one of the years I've been available. I saw a few awful audits saying they "purchased terrible stuff from Shopify"? I think they mean they found a terrible storekeeper that involves Shopify for their web facilitating administrations. Shopify isn't accountable for deals or sending any of your things. Yet, for anybody hoping to sell items, this is an incredible beginning
Purchasers griping about Shopify most often notice charge card issues
Shopify has a purchaser rating of 2.81 stars from 58 audits demonstrating that most clients are by and large disappointed with their buys. Purchasers griping about Shopify most often notice Visa issues. Shopify positions were 48th among Ecommerce Tools destinations.
The user interface is pretty good. The Shopify Faqs section helped me a lot in using it. Everything is set in its right place. You will easily get used to it.
Starting is really not that easy. You need a lot of things to start your Shopify store with less expectations
I'm easily able to create my own store without coding knowledge and background
One of the best ecommerce platforms to design and set up your business online. Very popular which also means regular updates, new features, and fixes. It's also very secure, reliable, and affordable.
There's no free plan. Shopify also charges transaction fee. The customer support can be slow at times. Shopify can make it easier for users to tweak the backend if required. Can provide tools for the same.
Hosting ecommerce website with Shopify. It's super easy for a newbie like me. I don't have to code anything. I can place social share links, buttons, etc.
