Limited formatting, some automation feat.
Too many to describe! Systems created: attendance, spot buy, APQP, production tracking, supplier assessments, employee evaluations, document control/distrib.
I love that I can work on a smart sheet with my teams across the company. The forms function gets a ton of use. We use it for most of our events that don't require payment for registration. The style looks more professional than using a google form. Absolutely love it.
I don't know if this is a company option, but we are limited to paid seats now, which makes it hard to share sometimes. I find some of the templates confusing and would like a short video tutorial on some of the more in-depth ones.
The ability to share forms with users outside our organization is the main way we use smart sheets. It saves us time and is very user friendly. I also like that we can save projects as templates so that we can reuse them.
There are many things that I like best about SmartSheets - here a few: - the solutions center is amazing, it helps me think out of the box and understand what's possible - that our instance of SS is HIPAA compliant - that it is low/no-code - it is easy to use
I wish there were more healthcare and academic templates in the solution center. An option to schedule and reports would be amazing. I dislike the name, because it undersells the solution, smartsheets is so much more than a sheet! :-)

Ability to generate quick schedules and share with team members.
There is a little bit of a learning curve and it would be nice to have quick access to instructional videas.
This product creates a simple way to share info and updates with a large team.
Smartsheet is smart tool to collborate and allso create individual report on project as well tracking with dashboard, gantt and many more.
Help page needs to more descriptive with clear way to do and tools familirisation. It also take a while to update and auto refresh needs to incorporate to make changes live

It's great for communal use between employees. It's easy to keep various departments and lists organized. It allows updates to be made in real time.
When a sheet becomes obsolete, and you're receiving notifications about that sheet; the unsubscribe feature does not work. I still receive daily for an obsolete sheet.
Smartsheets allows for all of our departments (project management, engineering, the shop, finishing, customer service) to communicate effectively, and have access to the same information on any project. It reduces redundant emails and miscommunication. It also helps expedite solutions for projects as information can be updated and information disseminated to necessary parties with less hassle.
Being able to work from anywhere and share with everyone. Also having a hierarchy of user privledges to creating/editing
Advanced functionality, such as formula-based data or email forwarding, is not as easy to use.
Tracking data across our agency. We work in separate locations, and Smartsheet helps us to keep tabs on project data and progress across programs, without meeting in person.
SmarSheet is incredibly easy to use, and it is easy on the eyes. We love the capability of switching views, and attaching files and links.
One feature we would like to see is the possibilities of tabs to related sheets.
Staying organized and on the same page.
Smartsheet is very user-friendly, easy to learn, and offers great tutorials! As soon as I started using Smartsheet I fell in love with how organized and efficient it makes my project management. I love the dashboards and the work insights.
I love all the Smartsheet features, especially now that my company is an enterprise user and gets all the cool features like dynamic view, data shuttle etc. I dislike that if you are a regular user, you don't get these features, or there is a cell linking limit. Also, I wish you didn't have to purchase the plan for multiple users, for example a small business might be the sole owner but still want all the features.
Smartsheet allows us to manage our projects with multiple stakeholders. I work in Quality Improvement, so I need to track over 500 stakeholders and engage them in surveys monthly. I love the ability of Smartsheet to allow me to engage with a big audience with surveys and then analyze their responses using the work insights or my own metrics sheet. I also use the Dashboards to measure and display their responses, which allows me to make quality improvement decisions and report to upper management in an organized way. We also use Smartsheet as a customer-facing "website" where they can interact with our dashboard to learn more.
Simple and easy to use and navigate. user friendly. i also like the UX part of it
Missing some important features that MS project does have
It helps me in building project plans, especially since we do not own MS project license. Its also easy to share with customers
A few things I like most about smartsheet is the shared capabilities, automated alerts for changes and countdown systems you can build into a sheet. I also appreciate that you are able to download and share smartsheet data in an easy to read format to PDF. I also like to designate ownership for assignments and let those users manage their portions of a shared project. I also appreciate that it saves automatically and I don't lose data overall.
There isn't much to dislike about Smartsheet. I think once you put the time in to learn the different formats and options that are available it allows for you as a user to create adequate smartsheets to share with team members.
It allows our team to see progress on projects to track changes over time collectively. It allows us to showcase upcoming campaigns and marketing sends that need to be scheduled. It allows us to add attachments so that all information for a campaign can live in the same document without visiting 100 different files/places.
I find Smartsheet easy to use for a variety of purposes. Because we can set up forms so quickly using their tool we can easily gather data in a pinch when other tools are too complicated. We also are using Smartsheet for project management of our internal graphics and production services which enables multiple team members to stay informed on progress of projects. We have used the system to display and track timelines for projects so that all stakeholders can see how far along a project is towards completion.
This may be user error, but I do have a hard time finding a form once it has been created within the system.
Keeping stakeholders informed so answering superfluous questions is not necessary. Also, by using the tool for our marketing calendar we can see overlap for messaging across products and therefore develop more effective communications to our members.
The organization and the usability of the application. It is a very useful tool for anyone or any organization!
I wish it didn't glitch and move data when two or more persons are entering new fields/data!
Overall organization and visibility. It works great for our small company and allows us to utilize this tool for overall workflow management.
Smartsheet saves me a ton of time collecting data from colleagues via forms, organizing data through reports, and sharing data with colleagues through dashboards and other published links. Our teams are dispersed, virtual teams that work across disciplines and institutions. Smartsheet keeps us connected in a way that MS Teams cannot.
The downside of Smartsheet is the implementation burden of getting busy colleagues to adapt how they work to use it optimally. I rely heavily on forms because people are used to web forms, but it isn't easy to get extended team members to use other novel features, like the Update Requests. People are so busy that introducing a new tool, even one that can save time and energy in the long run is a heavy lift because the initial investment to learn how to use it is too daunting.
Smartsheet has provided a platform to manage projects collaboratively, allowing the workload to be distributed between team members. Smartsheet has also allowed us to visualize our workflows for executive leadership to effectively communicate progress toward current objectives and capacity for future objectives.
Live, bi-directional functionality. Dashboards to display KPIs, reports relevant to the dashboard's audience and compile resources, including files and links. In comparison, Excel and SharePoint do not support autonomous teams as well.
I've been able to leverage training and the community to work through all my obstacles except one. We have a particular use case where an accepted request then needs to populate some columns into a new sheet, and then certain cells in the new sheet need to be linked back to the "tracker" sheet where the requests live. We have been manually cell-linking to accomplish this, but because we do it for each accepted request, it would be great to find a way to automate it. I haven't identified a way to do this with information in the training modules or community, but I haven't yet submitted my question to the community, which will be my next step.
Problems: missed deliverable dates, missed invoicing/billables, missed customer experience opportunities, missed employee engagement opportunities, and missed updates to processes/standard work. By using Smartsheet we are increasing the efficacy of our communication, supporting autonomous completion of tasks/projects, and effectively delivering and billing for our work. The downstream impacts have materially benefited the customer experience and employee engagement.
I love the ability to use forms on Smartsheet. We use these to gather important information and having it all populate together on one sheet is amazing.
There's no great way to filter or sort in Smartsheet. This is an important feature that I think is currently lacking.
Smartsheet allows us to collaborate within our team and with outside vendors. Rather than collecting data individually, we can send out a Smartsheet form and all the information will populate right there!
Smartsheet helps me to organize any size project to be sure none of the elements are missed. The flexibility is amazing.
