ClickUp Competitor & Alternatives
ClickUp competes with tools like monday.com, Trello, and Asana. Each tool has its own strengths and weaknesses. ClickUp stands out for its wide range of task display views, real-time chat, and in-app video recording features. However, other tools like monday.com and Asana also offer robust features, although they lack real-time chat and in-app video recording. Trello, on the other hand, is a more budget-friendly option, but it lacks time tracking and budgeting tools.
ClickUp FAQs

While the free plan does have some limitations compared to the paid plans (such as storage limits and access to premium features), it still provides a comprehensive toolset for managing tasks and projects. ClickUp is so personalizable! The views and fields are especially helpful!
The setup is a bit cumbersome. Takes a lot of clicking!
It solves the problem of tasks falling through the cracks, as all tasks have a home.
I have used Asana, Trello, for managing projects. ClickUp by far exceeds other platforms I have used. I love all the views, whiteboard functionality, docs, etc.
I wish ClickUp could replace all the other apps I still use. Whiteboard functionality works, but templates are not as robust as Miro, so I still need to keep them.
I love various ways I can view the project. List views, board views, calendar... Also, I keep track of my meeting notes here and convert them to tasks.
I love that you can build just about any kind of management foundation in clickup. It's basic building block structure allows you to create lists and spaces that uniquely fit your business' need.
ClickUp's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness. It is so simple you can build almost anything, but unless you know what you're doing, it is difficult to build a robust structure for complicated processes.
Click up helps my team to work together more efficiently. With this ability to all tasks within department level spaces, nothing falls behind like it used to.
I love all the amazing features. I find the different views very useful and use ClickUp daily for both business and my personal life
I would like to be able to edit the custom fields globally
It helps me plan and manage my time more productively. It helps me feel orgianised and BE organised.
Only with ClickUp can our team be integrated from anywhere in the world in an agile and practical way. Either through the browser, the app or the desktop app. I use and always recommend it to everyone with project management difficulties.
Sometimes it can be slow, and give some problems with attachments.
Integrate and centralize all tasks and projects for all remote teams.
ClickUp has helped me build skills in workload forecasting. The ability to collate my projects per client, break them down into smaller tasks and map them out in a calendar, linked to my own calendar, is the essential part of project planning but ClickUp goes so much further. Having visibility over my time estimates and tracking to see where I get off-track and correct my planning, switching views to look differently at my workload and solve problems, arrange things better, drag and drop to make quick adjustments... it does all the things that I can't hold in my head, it's like planning out loud. With reminders of what I need to be doing next! Such a relief for a busy brain. I wish I'd had time to explore more features already, but it's given me capacity to bring on a team member for support so I'll be getting stuck into learning how much more productive I can be very soon.
I often think ClickUp's probably got the solution to anything I find tricky, and that I just haven't had time to learn it yet. Like I feel like I'd get faster at jumping in and out of ClickUp by setting up more individual task templates. I have overall project templates but sometimes it's a bit of a pain that there are so many fields to fill in per task, but once I've set everything in place it's so good, so I do set aside that time for planning and entering my projects and tasks. I tried out the mind map function because I'm keen to use mind-mapping tools to sort out my ideas, but it was quite clunky, not very flexible. That was a while ago, maybe it's improved, but I recognise that that's not ClickUp's core role. A nice-to-have feature but I've come to ClickUp for the best project planning and coordination software out there.
Workload planning and forecasting - being able to see projects broken down and assigned to time blocks helps me keep track of everything in my busy schedule and avoid overcommitting myself.
I love how user-friendly ClickUp is, making it easy to onboard members in and outside our organization. I love how often updates are rolled out and the support I received when functionality wasn't correctly working or could use improvements. I love the automations and how much time they save our team and me. I love how easy it is to aggregate data cross-functionally to make our organization's processes seamless.
The only dislike is that some of the great new features required additional cost rather than being built into our plan. I also don't love the name but that's a personal preference!
As a franchise, we constantly repeat the same processes every time we onboard a new franchisee. ClickUp has streamlined our operations by creating automations that take the guesswork out of everything. We have recently started to lean into the power of dashboards to give us snapshots of our data across a 35+ location national organization. Now, our executive team always knows where we are in relation to our benchmarks.
So many things! I love that the ClickUp team is constantly iterating and adding new features that make the product better. I also love all the tools and resources they've created to help users learn how to work with the tool. There is just simply no limit to what ClickUp can do -- we came from Trello which was great, but we grew out of it. We kept hitting roadblock after roadblock when it came to cross-team collaboration. ClickUp has solved those issues for us, leading us to be more collaborative and productive than ever!
ClickUp can be buggy at times. That being said, I've never been so impacted by a bug that I was unable to get my work done. In Trello, there were times when the entire site would be down and we couldn't access our work for the day. With ClickUp, I find that either the browser or the desktop app goes down, but the other continues to function so I'm always able to access my tasks.
We are a hybrid team, with a lot of our staff being fully remote. ClickUp allows us to collaborate on big initiatives from a digital/remote setting. We have more visibility into our work than ever and are able to keep track of everything from major projects to day-to-day tasks.
We are able to use ClickUp not only for our project management but we use it for HR, onboarding, asset management and much more.
There are times when it takes a few extra moments to refresh when updates are made.
There are some documents that are not working on the moble App that they are looking into.
ClickUp is flexible. You can adjust your workstation to meet your individual demands. Additionally, by centralizing all of your work tools within ClickUp and eliminating the need to switch between different platforms, its integration potential boosts productivity.
It took me some time and effort to properly understand all the platform's features and customization choices. I have occasionally experienced performance issues, such as delayed loading times or errors. And the mobile app experience is not as robust as the web version.
Inefficient Task and Project Management: ClickUp provides a comprehensive set of task management features, including task prioritization, due dates, reminders, and dependencies.
Easy to use and has a ton of features to stay organized.
I have not come across anything I dislike about it.
Keep organized with numerous tasks
I love all the ways you can look at data in ClickUp! They are living out the mission and always innovating. I can't wait to see the next round of rollouts in 3.0!
Because they are in coating and always adding to the platform, there are some times when my entrees are not "auto saved" or the platform freezes. I know clickup is working on reliability so I know this will be worked through soon.
It is solving the need to have 1,000 different platforms and allowing users to collaborate all in one space. Although I will still be using google for docs, the chats, dashboards and new personal to do's are a lifesaver
I work with a number of clients, and having all my notes and tasks in one place has taken my life and organization to a new level. My business is now more systemized from using CickUp, which has enabled our team to work more efficiently
No complaints at this stage, i am continuing to enjoy the new features being added
Task tracking & time management
ClickUp is highly customisable. You can create spaces for Projects, Support, CRM, HR and build each one to suit your needs. The Chrome extension allows for easy creation and linking of tasks to conversations. As someone who chases productivity in everything I do, I can only recommend ClickUp.
The reporting is robust but it would be good to see better analytics on billable vs. non-billable time. There is no custom formula for billable time, or non-billabe time, only total time.
Maintaining efficiency, visibility of the current state of tasks in an organised way.
The unlimited uses that provides me. Also the fact that they teach how to use the tools.
I will love if the add a new layer in the spaces and folder aspect.
The opportunity of taking cara of my entired business.
I love how easy it is to use, how customized I can make it for my team, and the SAVINGS from features that I would have to pay for elsewhere.
I would love it if it could integrate with ClickFunnels 2.0 without zapier
Mapping out all the to-dos for my contractors to complete on each project.
I've tried almost all of the other "productivity" apps out there like Trello, Asana, Basecamp, etc. ClickUp is the only one that I've stuck with. It is almost infinitely customizable so whatever type of project I'm working on I can set it up to manage and track just the way I want to.
The only issues I see sometimes with ClickUp are that new features are released so quickly that there can be a few bugs here and there. However, support is really quick to respond and take care of any quirks as they come up.
ClickUp helps me keep track of multiple client projects in addition to tasks and content for my own business. I especially like time tracking within client tasks and that I can get an overview of everything in one place to know what to prioritize each day.
I love how versatile ClickUp is. It can do so many things and you can view it in so many ways. You really can customize it to your business needs and preferences.
When I first started using ClcikUp, I didn't take the time to learn it and it seemed overwhelming. But once I learned my way around I now think it's super easy!
ClickUp solves the problem of having multiple tools to keep different things. It's truly a one-stop shop where I can keep all aspects of my work and personal life.
I have been on the hunt for the ultimate productivity tool, and I can confidently say that I've found it in ClickUp. This platform has truly revolutionized the way I organize and manage my tasks, projects, and team collaboration. From its intuitive interface to its extensive feature set, ClickUp has exceeded all my expectations and has become an indispensable part of my workflow.
Occasional Performance Issues: Like any software, ClickUp may encounter occasional performance issues. Although rare, some users have reported experiencing slow load times or occasional glitches. However, it's worth noting that the ClickUp team is continuously working on improving performance and addressing any reported issues promptly.
Disorganized Task Management: ClickUp provides a centralized platform for managing tasks, eliminating the need for scattered to-do lists or multiple tools. It helps users organize tasks, set priorities, assign due dates, and track progress in a structured manner. This streamlines task management, reduces confusion, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

Consegui obter uma melhora no aproveitamento das atividades.
If you are looking for a project management too, look no further. It has everything you need and it is super user-friendly. They anticipate the needs of groups and deliver features that really help teams.
I like everything actually. All features are useful. They have created the platform with complex teams in mind. Teams maybe complex but the Click Up Project management tool makes everything simpler and efficient.
All of the technical stuff of tracking projects are solved by ClickUp.
ClickUps intuitive interface, collaboration tools, and automation capabilities simplifies our workwork. We use it for sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
I can't think of anything I don't like about it yet. I recommend this tool to anyone who wants to keep track of their organizations workload. If auditing becomes an issue, the data from this app willl become even more valuable.
ClickUp has helped to Manage our workload as to not over promise and under deliver . When onboardign new employees and contractors it is extrememly helpful as it allows for the new hire to grasp the work ahead of us.
it an amaizing tool for project management. Just it have to improve the Gantt view
The predecesors between task fueature and the Gantt view, It's have to improve
It's a great tool for project management
Clickup is so easy to use and navigate. I can set spaces for each client and I also use it for personal tasks. The reminders are fantastic and I love the calendar view of Everything so I can easily view and juggle things around. The templates are really helpful too. I've used a few different systems to find one that suited me, and this is it. It makes my life so much easier.
I haven't found any as yet. Everything just works so well for me.
Everything is in one place and it helps me to focus on tasks much easier than the other systems I have tried. I am much more productive and organised. I love that I can bring emails into it too.
ClickUp will literally slap your goals to your face and have every task or move you do impact that life or yearly goal. That is such a compelling feature to me because I can see my progress. I can see what I’ll be giving up if I stop now. It forces me to police myself to stay on track. It forces me to prioritize. It forces me to build a habit across the board from daily habits to monthly habits. In doing this I noticed I started getting sharper. I started thinking 1, 2, and 3 steps ahead because I would need to structure how my day would look like. I’ll show you my habits list. It serves me what I need to do today and I can see what’s up tomorrow without even scrolling. Since I started using Click Up it forced me to do a certain number of things when thinking about doing any task. I noticed I started asking myself is this a one-time thing, a recurring task or is this a task that is gonna require checkpoints and planning? Is this an idea? Does it cost money? Who do I need to involve? Do I need other people to make decisions or do I actively work on this with them? I started asking myself how important anything is and because of the way things are structured in the lists it’s also how I listen even to stories in conversations. They neatly go into layers of information. I became more conscious of how I spent my time. I had to really pinpoint time wasters and before I knew it it’s been a year and I don’t even have a Netflix subscription anymore because, for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I am devoting myself to the person I hope to become. Next is integration. Click Up can take so many things including Gmail. This means right from inside my task I can just click on send email and it’ll do that even on the free account. They aren’t at this point the 1 app to replace them all yet but I believe they’re trying. Also ClickUp support is absolutely amazing. Think about all the value they’ve given me and not once did I ever pay. They continue to give support and advice if I have questions on integrations. The ability to relate tasks together is just mind-blowing. Dependencies, milestones, and relationships are a gamechanger. Ok, hear me out. Let’s say you have a project that has 2 phases and those 2 phases are broken down into a ton of other tasks that have something to do with other things. Click Up makes it so that you can choose to trigger dependencies. You can’t start other tasks until you move the prerequisites. You can’t skip. Lastly is automation. ClickUp has triggers and automations within itself so for example, I started doing something but I didn’t finish it cos I had to attend to something else. If I change the status to updated or change made I can automate it so that it goes to its own list that contains only things I need to go back to so that I can make sure nothing is forgotten. I can trigger automation to move any task to move to a different priority depending on deadline. I can automatically change status to in progress when I track time. Now this is just at the personal level use I can just imagine how those who use this for day-in, day-out collaboration would feel like.
1. I wish it could do things that money tracking apps can do as well for example withdraw from an account when a transaction is triggered without the account being tagged as a task itself. Think the app blue coins. 2. I can't attach a recurring task to a goal. Thus habit building can be better. I can't look at my calendar and just see a dot per habit built 3. Calendar view doesn't have an option to appear like blocks - for example I can't label a part of the day as personal and another part as work 4. No WhatsApp integration 5. I can't make columns smaller on list view 6. I can't have a numerical goal and have it move depending on the sum or progress of tasks on a list. For example you have a savings goal and a list of days and amounts assigned to save. Once that list is done you would still need to update the goal. 7. No voice and screen recording on the desktop app. 8. Integrations. I wish there was a way to have my health or wearables connected and have it track information related to a goal. 9. There are notes app that allows a calendar view that has a photo per calendar. Let's say a journal and then that view on the month at a glance I can see already what days have photos to it. 10. I can't attach a recurring task to a goal. For example do something 100 times. It won't count it. I also can't track how many times a recurring task was already completed without counting it by myself.
It gives me the mental space I need to properly go about my life and segregate different areas with goals and I can plan the rest of my day because of them. I can also make sure to relate things and tie things together even for tasks I'm not in charge of I can help move them along. I can see how my life quantifiably because of time tracking. It's almost the software or app I use the most. Overall I love Click Up. While I do have feedback they're still the best out there and I'm sure of it.
I can control and manage my sprints easily. Currently, we use Clickup to do everything, like sprint backlog, developers time tracking, bugs control and daily with clickup whiteboard
Sometimes I need to reload pages because the status is outdated
.
all employees can easily follow the tasks at the same time. Even the free version is quite adequate for small teams. It has the convenience of separating teams and creating special tasks.
The fact that it is so colorful is a little tiring for my eyes. It seems complicated to use at first because of this confusion. but I think this is necessary for easy parsing.
I am in a team that works completely remotely. Since the number of our team is large and we work completely remotely, we sometimes cannot catch the flow of the tasks. We can track who is working on which task in Clickup. The time track feature is also very useful. so I can see how much time we spent on which task.
integrations with other software and custom fields option also available
pdf download is not available and pricing
follow ups on time and task management
I love how it sends out emails when something is due. It really helps when there is an important dead line ahead of me. It also lays out everything in lists and calenders.
When you first start it is a little hard to navigate. But it's a great feeling when you find something you didn't know was there and go "Yes! I can do this quicker now"
I love being organised and having it all layed out for me without doing much is always really helpful. I am less worried about deadlines when using ClickUp because all I really need to do is check my emails to see what is comming up that week.
I love that ClickUp is so customizable in terms of what you can add in the columns and how many different ways you can use it. They also have a great learning platform that's super helpful. I like being able to add users to very specific areas too.
Would love it if the actual layout were more customizable like notion, etc.
ClickUp creates one central place to manage a whole business. It truly can replace so many platforms and I love having everything in one place. It's really great for collaboration too!
