I really like the multiple photos on this site.
I think navigating through this site is rather cumbersome and complex.
I was solving problems of lack of exposure with Shopify. I didn't see an added benefit from what we were using prior.
I like that Shopify has included great analytics, a clean online storefront, many sales channels such as Amazon, Google, Facebook and Instagram as well as tips to help make the most of your online shop. They also integrate well with many other popular business tools creating more seamless possibilities to be productive.
The user interface isn't very friendly. It has quite the learning curve. It usually takes some searching to find what you are looking for then once you find it, it isn't what it could be. I find that many times when I update a listing, I am spending more time hitting the "save" button and waiting for it to save so that I continue editing than I do actually making the changes that need to be made. I would prefer more of a "drag and drop" type of editing method as well.
I have a client that uses Shopify and it does get the job done well. They are able to sell their products online and reach many customers through all the platforms offered as well as share some information about their business and what makes it unique.
I appreciate the technical support shipify provides its customers. It does have decent integrations and offers a full start to finish ecommerce package. For the beginner, it is very user friendly and most design elements are point and click. This allows for the newbie ecommerce folks to get a foot in the door.
I believe the cost of the platform could be better. Shopify being great for startups or small business, most are on a budget and shopify most definitely adds to that monthly budget. I don't like that I can't fully redesign the product to my liking and have to use what they provide instead.
Personally I have used shopify for small start up ideas to see the likelihood of developing that idea further. I believe it is great for this purpose. It allows someone to see if their product or service has a need, and can let you judge if expansion is worth the cost.
I have an Etsy shop and notice that many successful Etsy shop owners also have external/additional websites of their own. I am investigating Shopify and really appreciate the time you took to put together this page. Thanks!!
Oh my goodness..... I'm a computer technician and I had trouble trying to set up my online store. I just gave up and went elsewhere. The format is very confusing . I was trying to edit text in the homepage but it would not let me change font or color. It is very very limited. I tried to add to a custom collection but it would not show up and add product to the collection. It is soooo buggy and frustrating. I have no idea how they are still in business. Please shopify, fire the guys that created that poor excuse, and confusing mess of editing software built into your site.
Online shopping platform for our product
Shopify is good for people that are just starting out and require help with web development
Shopify is restricted to only few services and can be difficult to use sometimes
They have pre existing templates that are easy to use and additional features that help my business
Easy to use, Easy to set up and add tools and great customer service that help when something seems difficult to set up.
I really couldn't find anything wrong with this platform.
Great interaction and menu for editing site in minutes to add sales and promotions.
I like that Shopify gives you the ability to add apps to your website. That includes countdowns, dropshipping apps, discounts etc. This is really good for beginners who want a professional website.
I dislike that Shopify does not have any cheaper plans than $30. This is a little bit too much for absolute beginners who wants to test their product.
Shopify has helped me a lot with the website design. The website is super easy to configure. Products is also very easy to edit.
It seems that is a really good tool for starting a business, I mean it solves all the issues of an e-commerce when you don't have too much developers available.
The template language (liquid) doesn't scale and documentation is not enough. Doesn't provide a way to look at server-side metrics and information. Really hard to integrate with modern stacks and frameworks like node+reactjs
Manage all the products, categories, stock and sells. The best benefit is that we could create all the things we need for our business, but now is not meeting our Eng expectations.
It was fairly simple to setup. And I liked how it got us moving in the right direction. But it wasn’t a good fit for our need
It didn’t integrate with our other system.
It helped us get online with our store but created a lot of duplicate work.
They claim to help you find pre-vetted items to sell on your Shopify page... interesting selection, price always looks great from the perspective of someone used to retail prices in America
That claim seems just a claim, and I keep having cold feet about selling products that seem too good to be true - what’s more, many of them have shipping times that take 3 months!
Drop ship Shopify store
It's a pretty user friendly way to start eCommerce transactions. I think it is a more powerful tool than many who use it realize, but it takes more learning to get to a place where you can use it with all the power that's built into the product.
Not the best interfaces, not the best support. Not saying it doesn't have good interfaces and support, but to get the customized feel you'd want for your own webstore, the platform needs some manipulating that doesn't always come across as user-friendly.
Creating a webstore for a company that operates multiple licenses to make licensed products. Putting all these brands under one roof has been helpful rather than going strictly through each licensee.
I gave this e-commerce firm a shot considering it is relatively new and because I wanted to explore its offerings. It does provide a wide range of options for buying and selling items. For the initial stage, it may survive, but it needs to make quite some progress to make it to the big league.
The overall quality of the sellers and merchandise in general is not impressive. The website itself is not very user friendly.
I was referred to this app by a friend who used it for selling merchandise. I did not find Shopify enticing enough to register myself.
Shopify is easy for people with no experience in ecommerce to use.
Shopify is more rigid and less customizable than making an ecommerce site from scratch.
Shopify solves the issue of preparing a nontechnial business owner for ecommerce success.
I like that it helps smal businesses have online stores
The interface is frustrating and not aesthetically pleasing
As a manager at a small business I liked that my customers could order items in advance or for shipping by using Shopify. It allowed my reach for business to go farther
Payments were easy, setting up was easy. They provide lots of help on how to use it.
It's okay, could be improved by allowing to export/edit only individual selected product reviews instead of exporting entire store's review. Also adding pictures in review would be nice given that most other review apps allow for picture reviews.
I needed to sell my products, so Shopify allowed for me to do that.
I really didn’t get much out of this application but it was easy to use
Seemed easy to use but I never really liked using it
Limited purchasing
Shopify is easy to set up and I like the discount and promo feature best.
I dislike how slow and clunky Shopify websites can be.
I have recommended Shopify as an eCommerce solution for my digital marketing clients. They like how easy it is to use.
Templates make it easy to create a site very quickly and payment options are already integrated
You must go to premium to get any actual content or meat for this platform. It is very clunky to utilize and categorize your items.
We were trying to extend into ecommerce dropshipping for additional sales
Ease of usage...selling feels properly made through the software.
Expensive. It costs a lot for big businesses.
Selling online well
I like that it does it's purpose well. It helps companies sell their goods and provides pretty much every tool someone might want to do so. I also like that it provides all the tools that you need to be very Google and SEO friendly. I like that Shopify offers lots of tips on the admin dashboard for improving business, it puts the things that you need to know front and center when you log in which makes it seem like Shopify truly cares that the businesses that use their site succeed in reaching their sales goals.
I dislike that the website itself is really hard to customize. I know that it's built to be templated and easy for non-web builders to use, but when it comes to actual web-builders helping clients it can get frustrating. I also don't think any of the design tools are very user-friendly.
Shopify solves the problem of businesses not knowing how to get their products out there into the hands of their customers all over the globe. It creates great insights into how your items are selling, where your traffic is coming, and what you can do to improve.
Information and guidance galore, easy to use
The platform doesn't suit my business very well
Informational segments, tips and tricks, new business ideas
I like the level of customization within the app itself.
I don't like that when you're making changes on a screen that depending on what ]
Gives me an additional platform for selling products.
There are a ton of apps so it is easy to custom build an online store with specific of what you need
Very basic built in features so have to use a lot of apps. Down fall of this is there are cost involved in adding all these apps and then a lots of fees on top of everything else. It seems like they charge a fee for everything so it is very hard to get started
Used them as an eCommerce platform
Easy to use no coding required whatsoever.
It is very laggy to use in the backend to edit.
Ecommerce Online retail.
The ability to easily learn and edit products from sizes to description.
Inventory issues and sensitivity to specific characters.
We use it for our online sales. We have issues using the mobile app to account for products.
It was quite easy to build my website and with all of the add-ons, it functioned really well and was easy to understand.
I just dislike that they bill you even if you aren't using the website for months on end, and you basically have to delete your website if you want to take a little hiatus from that.
I was going to drop ship but it just didn't work out for me.
I enjoy Shopify because of its simplicity. It makes managing a business easy with minimal time learning the program. It is great for managing inventory and handling shipping. I like how easy it is to learn for beginners and how I can manage numbers on the go.
I don't like how it doesn't work well on my phone. This could just be my phone (iPhone X), but it gives me a hard time when I log in. I would like to see more work done to improve the quality of mobile for this program. I enjoy this very much, and it doesn't take away from its quality, but it would be really great to see in the future if possible. Other than that, I do not have any other complaints about the program itself. Customer service is great and can help in any situation you may come across.
I am able to see all of my info in front of me in a very organized fashion, which I absolutely love. It is a great way to organize your info and orders. Definitely recommend for new retail business owners!!
Got me and my online company going right away! Profits in less than a week!!
I'm not interested in starting an online business so Shopify no longer intrigues me. If one of my clients or friends needed a how-to on starting an online retail business, I would definitely recommend Shopify.
Alot more questions via email or phone calls than expected!
Give sellers and buyers the ability to reach a large market
Sometimes to many options can be overwhelming
Access to a variety of of vendors
