800.com’s Small Business plan costs $49 a month and includes unlimited calling minutes. Its Complete plan costs $99 and includes 1,000 — the same allowance as the $19 Startup plan. Moving up two tiers gets you AI agents, five numbers and unlimited users, and takes away unlimited calling. That reversal is stated plainly on the plan cards, but nothing signals it, and for a phone system it is the least intuitive thing on the page.
- What it is: A toll-free and vanity number VoIP provider with call tracking and AI agents.
- Best for: Small businesses wanting a toll-free number with unlimited calling on the middle tier.
- Pricing: Startup $19, Small Business $49, Complete $99 per month on annual billing. Verified July 2026.
- The honest catch: The unlimited minutes on Small Business are subject to a fair usage policy.
What Is 800.com?
800.com sells toll-free, local and vanity numbers with a hosted phone system around them — extensions, call routing, caller ID and, newly, an AI agent layer covering receptionist duties, appointment booking, lead qualification and customer service.
Purchase runs as a three-step flow — pick a plan, pick a number, check out — and every tier carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Four tiers: Startup, Small Business, Complete and a quoted Enterprise for agencies and high-volume teams.
How 800.com Works
- Numbers, users and extensions are the structural meters.
- Calling minutes do not rise monotonically with price.
- Small Business is the only unlimited-minutes plan.
- AI agents arrive at Complete, metered separately.
- Yearly billing saves about 17%, advertised as 15%.
- A 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan.
800.com Pricing
Captured from 800.com’s plans page in July 2026 in US dollars, reading both billing toggles.
| Plan | Yearly (per mo) | Monthly | Minutes | Numbers | Users | Extensions |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Startup | $19 | $23 | 1,000 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Small Business | $49 | $59 | Unlimited* | 3 | 3 | 3 |
| Complete | $99 | $119 | 1,000 | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Quoted | — | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom |
Complete also includes: 1,000 transcribe and 800 Intelligence minutes · 500 Enhanced Caller ID calls · 500 AI Agent minutes · AI Receptionist, Appointment Booking, Lead Qualification and Customer Service
* Subject to 800.com’s Fair Usage Policy.
What actually decides your plan:
- Unlimited calling exists on exactly one tier. Small Business at $49 is the only plan with unlimited minutes. Startup at $19 gives 1,000, and Complete at $99 gives 1,000 again. If call volume is your constraint, the middle plan is the answer and paying more makes it worse.
- Complete is an AI plan, not a calling plan. What $99 buys over $49 is five numbers instead of three, unlimited users and extensions instead of three, and the AI layer — 500 AI Agent minutes, 1,000 transcribe minutes, 500 Enhanced Caller ID calls, and the receptionist, booking, qualification and service agents. Read it as a different product rather than a bigger one.
- The AI allowances are their own meters. 500 AI Agent minutes is roughly eight hours of automated call handling a month. For a business buying Complete specifically for the AI receptionist, that is the number to model, and it sits alongside rather than inside the 1,000 calling minutes.
- Unlimited carries a fair usage policy. The asterisk on Small Business points to it. Unlimited minutes subject to fair usage is standard in telecoms, but it means the ceiling exists and is not published — worth asking about before assuming a high-volume outbound operation fits.
- Startup is genuinely single-everything. One number, one user, one extension, 1,000 minutes. That is a sole trader wanting a toll-free number, not a business phone system, and the step to two of anything is $19 to $49.
- The yearly discount beats its own advertising. The toggle says “SAVING 15%”. Startup falls from $23 to $19, which is 17.4%; Small Business from $59 to $49, 16.9%; Complete from $119 to $99, 16.8%. All three round in the customer’s favour.
Who Should Use 800.com
- Small businesses wanting a toll-free number. The clearest case — a recognisable 800 number with a real phone system behind it.
- Teams with high call volume. Small Business at $49 with unlimited minutes is the value tier.
- Businesses deploying AI call handling. Complete bundles receptionist, booking, qualification and service agents.
- Sole traders. Startup at $19 for a single toll-free line.
It fits poorly for high-volume callers who need the AI features, since Complete drops back to 1,000 minutes; for teams of two or three on a budget, given the $19-to-$49 step; and for international operations, since the product is US-centric.
Honest Pros and Cons
Strengths
- Unlimited minutes at $49, competitive for a toll-free system.
- A 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan.
- Unlimited users and extensions on Complete.
- AI receptionist and booking agents included rather than sold separately.
- The yearly discount is better than advertised, at about 17%.
- Vanity, local and toll-free numbers all available.
Limitations
- Complete includes fewer calling minutes than Small Business.
- Unlimited minutes are subject to an unpublished fair usage policy.
- Startup allows one number, one user, one extension.
- AI allowances are separate meters — 500 agent minutes a month.
- Enterprise is quoted, with no published starting point.
- The product is US-focused, with limited international relevance.
800.com Alternatives and How It Compares
- Grasshopper is the closest competitor for solo operators wanting a business number.
- Quo (formerly OpenPhone) suits small teams sharing numbers, with simpler per-user pricing.
- RingCentral and Nextiva are the full unified communications platforms.
- Aircall and CloudTalk target sales and support calling teams.
- Dialpad competes directly on AI-led calling features.

The Verdict
800.com does a specific and still-valuable thing: it sells memorable toll-free and vanity numbers with a proper phone system attached, rather than treating the number as an afterthought. Small Business at $49 a month with unlimited minutes, three numbers, three users and three extensions is a competitive package for a small company that wants a recognisable 800 line, and the 30-day money-back guarantee on every tier is more generous than most telecoms offers.
The plan ladder has one genuinely counterintuitive step in it. Complete costs $99 and includes 1,000 calling minutes; Small Business costs $49 and includes unlimited. Paying twice as much reduces your calling allowance to what the $19 entry plan provides. Nothing on the page is hidden — both figures sit on their respective cards — but nothing flags the reversal either, and a buyer upgrading in the ordinary expectation that a dearer plan does more of everything would be caught out. Complete is best understood as a different product: an AI calling plan with 500 agent minutes, a receptionist, appointment booking, lead qualification and customer service, plus unlimited users and extensions.
Two things to establish before buying. The unlimited minutes carry an asterisk pointing at a fair usage policy whose threshold is not published, so a heavy outbound operation should ask where that line sits rather than assume it does not exist. And the AI allowances on Complete are separate meters — 500 AI Agent minutes is about eight hours of automated handling a month, which is the figure to model if the AI receptionist is your reason for buying. Credit where it is due on the billing: the yearly toggle advertises 15% and actually delivers between 16.8% and 17.4% across the three published tiers.
FAQ
How much does 800.com cost?
Captured in July 2026 in US dollars. On yearly billing: Startup $19 per month, Small Business $49 and Complete $99, with Enterprise quoted. On monthly billing those become $23, $59 and $119. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the yearly discount works out at roughly 17% rather than the 15% advertised.
Which 800.com plan has unlimited minutes?
Only Small Business at $49 per month, and it is subject to 800.com’s Fair Usage Policy. Startup at $19 includes 1,000 minutes, and Complete at $99 also includes 1,000 — so the most expensive published plan has the same calling allowance as the cheapest, and less than the middle tier.
What does 800.com’s Complete plan add?
Five numbers instead of three, unlimited users and extensions instead of three each, and the AI layer: 500 AI Agent minutes, 1,000 transcribe and 800 Intelligence minutes, 500 Enhanced Caller ID calls, and AI Receptionist, Appointment Booking, Lead Qualification and Customer Service agents. What it does not add is calling minutes, which drop from unlimited to 1,000.
Is 800.com’s Startup plan enough for a small business?
Only for one person. Startup includes one number, one user, one extension and 1,000 minutes a month — suitable for a sole trader wanting a toll-free line, but not for a team. The moment you need a second number, user or extension, the step is to Small Business at $49, which also brings unlimited minutes.
How much does 800.com’s yearly billing save?
Between 16.8% and 17.4%, depending on tier — better than the 15% the toggle advertises. Startup falls from $23 to $19, Small Business from $59 to $49, and Complete from $119 to $99. All three round in the customer’s favour against the stated discount.

I've researched a bunch of providers for toll-free numbers, and I can list what the others offer and compare plans, but I haven't really experienced any down sides with 800.com. The only downside which is expected is that two separate companies can not be managed under one account, due to the registration of the number.
