The ease to use interface, theme store and app integration. Most app just work and the few thing that I found not to work are due to the app developer lack of updates, not Shopify.
I wish there were more themes in the theme store like the one on Saquarespace.
I don't have a lot of coding experience and what I know is just marginal. It saves me a lot of time which is money to me.
Setting up an ecommerce shop can be a very difficult task. With Shopify I can get a store up and running in no time and then update my products and design as time goes on.
There is not too much I dislike. I do wish it was a little easier to manage my custom template from a local setting. Like I wish there was a way to have a staging area and then have the ability to publish my changes to my live store.
Helping my customers set up and sell their products online.
I like the flexibility, working with liquid is very friendly, the code is very simple and easy to read, they have very clever preset functions that take care of the heavy lifting for you. You can get up and running in within minutes
Although I like how shopify has dynamic url creation for every product, tag etc sometimes is impossible to have certain kind of ur: for example if you want a "about page" the url is mystore.com/page/about and not mystore.com/about So in the future I would like to see custom urls and the ability to create user setting on the product page.
Shopify is my number one goto when it comes down to creating online stores The benefits are: - Easy set up - A huge developer community - Good costumer service - Clean and simple CMS control panel
The app integration is something I find very useful for scaleability.
I dislike some of the hosting freedoms you get with using a private host.
I providing retail customers the opportunity to learn how to design/manage/market their own shops. I am finding a high number of client prospects are aggressively pursuing.
Shopify if super easy to get up and running, has a really nice API for more advanced scenarios and, as such, has a bunch of third party apps to do anything that it doesn't already do out of the box
It's definitely focused on the front end. There is not way to track the cost of goods sold in Shopify, so you'll need a back end system that syncs with Shopify to let you do this. Also, if you run more than one website you'll need to maintain separate accounts for each website (and copying/syncing products and/or stock levels between websites will be really hard, if the websites share the same products). For most people, this probably won't be a huge issue though.
Quickly lets you sell stuff online.
intuitive user interface , allowing users to effortlessly set up online stores without need for extensive technical knowledge
charge transaction fees for sale conducted through external payment gateways
intuitive and user-friendly interface, easy for users to create and manage online stores without technical knowledge
There so many out-of-the-box readymade ecommerce websites templates that will compete with a bespoke sites and they are georgeous I must say. Been a longtime user, I have seen how dramatically Shopify had grown these pools of thousands of templates for a quick start. Customer support to many extent are very helpful and if you want to quickly build an ecommerce website, definitely, you should be using Shopify for it
I know I have given credit to the amount of templates that ones can start with. However, I still feels that majority of these templates needs eome work to make it look bespoke say to specific brands parameters
Shopify helps with fast start in building an ecommerce website. The addition of generative AI tools within the platform now, even makes things a lot more faster to build a self-starter website
EASE OF USE AND INTEGRATIONS. i HAVE USED IT FOR FOUR YEARS
SOMETIMES HELP AND SUPPORT ARE WEAK. HARD TO GET THROUGH
FEED MGMNT MOSTLY
Shopify makes it easy to start up and maintain an online presence
They have moved away from internal support of platforms like eBay/walmart/amazon/etsy to third party integration apps. These used to be free and added to the value of Shopify. Now they are extra costs to the merchant and make it cost heavy on very small businesses.
Shopify helps me maintain / ship / and track orders
Shopify starts pretty cheap, there's no tech management cost, all of the basic features needed to run an ecommerce site are already present and everything else can be added via the Shopify Apps marketplace, all in all, it is very easy to implement, and integrate features. You don't have to worry about your website going down or some feature not working, stability and reliability is supremely high. And the admin panel is super intuitive for back office teams to work with.
Shopify charges an extra commission per order, that's not the best thing when you are at scale, but it comes down if you opt for a shopify plus plan at scale. Shopify sites slow down as you keep adding features and that can hamper the overall conversion rate of the website. Very difficult to scale beyond a certain revenue mark on shopify since shopify's tech starts becoming a bottleneck to any deeper features you want to build.
customisability, shopify is now focusing on headless enablement + their hydrogen framework will help build completely custom experiences.
Easy to work with, user Friedan anybody can do it
There used to be a phone number now we have to contact them online only
POS and credit card inergrarion are easy to use and saves money
Systems built to sell online and many integrations. The customer support is usally always there to help out as well which is extremely helpful. Easy to use.
Could have more things editable when building the website.
Sell and promote our porduct online.
Shopify makes creating your own website very accessible. You get to have full control over the features and aesthetic of your site. The startup costs are pretty low also.
It gets complicated when youre setting things up yourself, and it doesn't have features for selling services.
It makes creating a business website very accessible. Most of the features are mostly user friendly.
Shopify is ease to use and it have that user friendly interface you can do customization.it offers wide range to integrates with apps. Security of shopify which i really like.
Shopify have a desiging Limitations, some of Limited customer support but customer support is good
This can help me to businesses avoid there losing sales. And Shopify inventory management system can help businesses optimize their inventory levels
Shopify is a great option for companies that don't require a great deal of customization to accommodate their e-commerce assortment. It is straightforward and most of the typical options that you might need are available in the app store. Customer support has been very helpful both from a base platform and app perspective and it has been easy to integrate additional applications that are not part of the app store.
There are some things that are very custom about our business - it was hard, but not impossible to work through those details.
It is a relatively quick and easy e-commerce solution that allows us to focus our development resources on things other than basic website development.,
What I like about shopify is that it is very easy to use and user friendly. Setting up my Digital Store was very easy. There API integration is fast and secure.
What I dont like is that you have to pay for templates and the pricing is very expensive which is - 29 -299 usd per month
The problem that Shopify solves from me is to have an easy and secure digital store.
The ease of use and simple texture makes it user friendly and something that each generation can use.
The menu prompts at first were annoying and each time it's re-downloaded you go through each tutorial makes it annoying when you reset a device.
It's easier to interact with people because of ease of use. It becomes a social matter to help and understand universally what is available.
Shopify is Very good for Brands who are just starting out their ecommerce business, the Dashboard is user friendly , the checkout looks amazing and it makes customers confident to pay. There are most features out of the box Like Inventory Management, Variant, Discountiing, Shipping Zones and Many more. Analytics is good instead of subscribing to a differrent silution, Shopify does all this at a reasonable price compared to other solutions. To start a store it just takes minutes.
Shopify is good and perfect till a certain point unless you need customizibility in your checkout, Discounting, Shipping options and integration with platforms. Their apis are good but sometimes it is too much process to get some of the basic tasks done, the throttling for the basic plans is too heavy. They have released functions but still don't allow most combinations and use cases that are normal to a big merchant.
Shopify is helping us in Order management, Ecommerce store
It's very straightforward, and robust enough that it doesn't require too many widgets/apps.
There could be more options for content/section customization
It's the content management system of choice for my own and businesses I've worked with
The part i love most about Shopify is their theme and payout options for my country nigeria again very easy to navigate and design .
Renewal pricing of Shopify is rather too much for a beginner without sales my opinion though
Well traffic and seo makes your store stand out so am glad people can easily see my site while searching for it.
I like how you can make an order and refund customers if needed
some features can't be added for example managing a membership
helps us manage the orders we get create orders and replacement and refunds as well
Shopify is known for its user-friendly interface, making it easy for entrepreneurs and business owners to set up an online store without requiring extensive technical knowledge. The platform offers an intuitive dashboard and a straightforward setup process.
Cost and transaction fees: While Shopify offers a range of pricing plans, some users find that the costs associated with using Shopify (monthly subscription fees, transaction fees, app costs, etc.) can accumulate and become expensive, especially for small or startup businesses. Shopify charges transaction fees for using third-party payment gateways. While these fees can be reduced if you use Shopify Payments (their native payment gateway), businesses often prefer to offer multiple payment options to their customers, which can result in higher transaction fees.
i find shopify help in many ways. like shipping and refund, payment when customers check out. trusty and safe for transactions. good support not only for me but customers too.
The mostly like thing in shopify is that it is a very good platform to buy thing which are not found any where else.
It is much more expensive than other apps like Amazon
Availability of products
It is simple to comprehend. It is very simple to adjust to enhance both the client experience and seller navigation. Additionally, it offers a real-time sales update for our organization.
The cost is somewhat excessive. I just wish they had a more reasonable pricing structure, discounts for repeat customers, or special offers for several accounts. Utilizing it also has a little learning curve.
To manage the orders from our customers, we utilize Shopify every day. If necessary, we can modify the order details and check to see if an order has been assigned to a delivery partner
I am a freelancer and I design different websites on shopify for my clinets around the world. I always prefer Shopify for ecommerce shops because it is so easy to setup and run.
There is just limited number of themes of shopify. Whenever i need to design a new shopify website I spend too much time on the theme design. Shopify should provide more number of themes for their users and they can make beautiful and amazing ecommerce websites.
I am a freelancer and I design different shopify for my clinets around the world. I always prefer Shopify for ecommerce shops because it is so easy to setup and run. It take very few hours to design and setup.
to search any thing which i want and aslo meet all required searching
time of delivery slow so i think they can make fast than its too good
i required one thins in different sites but not like but in shpify meet my all requirments
Shopify is a great platform for building ecommerce websites. It comes with a beautiful user-friendly interface which helps the user a lot in building a website. The websites build on this platform look premium and don't require coding knowledge.
The limited options for customisation are what I dislike about shopify. If they add customisation options like WordPress then using shopify would be a lot easy. Sometimes it become difficult for the developer to achieve their desired design and functionality.
Shopify is helping a lot in building stores for my clients who want to sell their products online. Integrating websites built using shopify with facebook ads, google ads etc is very easy. Before using shopify I used to create websites using various other platforms but now after using it I rarely use other platforms as building websites here don't take much time.
There are quite a few things that stuck to my mind when I think of the good side - You have a very large list of possible integrations to connect with external apps that you use. - Anybody with a minimum knowledge of technology can establish an online store.
- The product does well. But when you are not able to figure out something on your own and if you wish to get a helping hand, it is very difficult to get hold of some expert for assistance. - The pricing is comparatively on the higher side when compared to other platforms in India. (Might look very fair in US market)
I worked for a small business owner in managing the online store of her's. She is in her late 40s and wasn't great with technology but her products (scented homemade soap) were awesome. Shopify helped the owner to expand the business online and reach out to customers that are not just in her neighborhood and for me as a manager it was very simple to keep track of the orders, delivery status, payment status, and most of all the owner get to see everything from her view eliminating my efforts in generating reports for the received orders. With my little knowledge of Digital Marketing, we could easily run some festive season social media campaign with minimum efforts with the help of Shopify's integrations.
Shopify's Dashboard is fantastic, easy to use and helpful for small businesses looking to grow their business.
Shopify becomes very expensive. The bigger your business grows the more additions you need which adds more and more to your monthly bill.
Shopify is helping small to medium business owners get online to sell their products in a user friendly way.
Lesser commisions, good reach, variety of products, good and cheap products, delivery in whole nationwide and branded as well as local products available at good prices. good profit for sellers.
Delivery experience. Return to origin vs delievered ratio.
Nationwide reach of my products. Less comission on selling over their platform.
