"Vendasta after 2 years"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

I really enjoy how I can be able to create an account for any client to log in and use. As well as facilitate each user/client with all products simple pricing for campaigns and perfomance targets they want to reach. Since there is a wide variety of products and services available, I hope to better serve my community and its customers on a higher level.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

A few touch points I would request would be a more thorough support team as some representatives aren't always as helpful or knowledgeable. Others in the sales departments are pushing products they cannot assist with implementation after the sale. Even the availability of customer service is very limited when you are on a contract or long-term product cycle due to them not working during regular business hours and being based in different time zones.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a marketing solution, providing multiple different platforms for clients and regular small businesses so that they don't have to have a vendor complexity, or analytics issues for themselves. As a provided software solutions vendor that is remote, fully functional and implemented in the process of communication and committed to scaling my business approach locally.

"Excellent Tool for Managing Many Marketing Functions"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

It's a great "one stop shop" to manage a number of things that would typically be done in multiple platforms. It's pretty easy to use and simplifies a lot of processes.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

There is some functionality I'd love to see, like tagging in the social media tool.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

There is huge value in the analysis option and their white labeled products.

"Good products, company can be frustrating at times"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

Vendasta has some excellent products they bring to the table. Their social engagement work is excellent, and their employees are pleasant to deal with. Their Partner Central portal is quite comprehensive and easy to use as well.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Their APIs can be an issue, particularly given they have a habit of occasionally changing their APIs with no warning (and suddenly everything that uses said API starts crashing). Some of their backend feels thrown together with no planning ahead.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

We route several products through Vendasta, including Reputation Intelligence, microsites, and social marketing. So far, Vendasta has done an excellent job engaging with customers for these.

"My experience with them has been moderate."
What do you like best about Vendasta?

The platform is very strategic and they have an excellent business acquisition method. I am discovering new features (valuable) that keep me feeling like this is getting better every week. Tyler Humphreys has to be mentioned as my onboarding specialist, as he has been outstanding.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

The platform seems complex, and it is. There are a lot of backend integrations, automation, and notifications. However, with a bit of coaching, it quickly becomes intuitive and clear.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like this method of getting potential customers' attention through the marketing noise and delivering them with value on the first contact. Vendasta will save time and make my new business development results much better.

"Good, but could be better "
What do you like best about Vendasta?

I like how I have a product that I can sell to my client base without having to invest lots of money in development. I also like how staff at Vendasta are willing to help when there is a problem.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

The reputation management interface, whilst it has improved over the last year, is not a well thought out piece of software. Trying to explain it to my clients is difficult. Why on earth they have separated the gathering of reviews ( customer voice ) from the reviews themselves ( reputation mannegement ) is beyond me. The product is good and is a well received concept when speaking to my clients. However, you then demo the product them and you find yourself saying a lot of “ click here, go here, then to do this go here “ etc. The user journey for reputation management/ customer voice is horrible. It’s a shame as it could be so much better. Also, being given the opportunity to feedback on a product when you are the one using it so much would be good.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem I’m solving is being able to offer a product to my clients who want to take control of their online reputation. Even though I feel that that product could be improved in various ways.

"Not a good experience w/ this company."
What do you like best about Vendasta?

Their partner dashboard had a good UI and was easy to use. The sales people were always nice, but the way they sell their product is too aggressive.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

My main problem with Vendasta was how I was sold into the platform initially. They cold-emailed me, and I did the first meeting with their business development person. I was coming off a not-so-great experience with YEXT and looking for listings management solution. I don't feel the full weight of their partner pricing was outlined. In fact, it was glossed over. I received quite a shock when the first invoice came! And I was locked into a contract. Shame on me for not reading the fine print. I decided to make the best out of it and tried using their social media management services. My clients were very unhappy with the work -- who wouldn't be when the name of the business was misspelled twice on two different accounts. It made me look bad. Still, despite a material breach of contract, I could not get out of it. Their accounting team is beyond aggressive. Ironically, it turned out to be just like the bad experience I had at YEXT. The SEO services outsourcing option was of shocking low quality. I understand they have since switched to another outsourced SEO services provider. Ultimately, the product itself doesn't live up to its hype because of the steep Digital Agency price considering the quality of service that I received.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

The listings management tool and online reputation management tool were both pretty solid.

"Fantastic customer service"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

The fantastic customer service. I never have to wait and I get intelligent answers to my questions

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

I haven't been offered one product/service that I couldn't find elsewhere for the same price. And the products I've used have been serious disappointments. I also don't like that I sent out Snapshot reports that were inaccurate and just pissed off prospects left and right. They're way too harsh to be accepted by prospects as anything approaching genuine.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Marketing to my meager list of prospects and posting on social is the only Vendasta services I'm using wright now. I've found better sources for everything else elsewhere.

"Significant Price Jump for Fulfillment"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

Wide range of products and seamless brand integration (as long as you pay for it).

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

The monthly subscription price difference changes frequently. There is a large gap in communicating Systemwide changes and updates—account reps frequently aren’t informed of system improvements, mods or changes. There is a significant difference between tiered subscriptions. A current subscription tier will show you ALL of the products you can buy for your clients, but not all are available to you. You can get rejected after reselling, say a website under a low to mid tier, but you’re only rejected after selling this to your Client. In addition, only top tier subscriptions come with fulfillment services. The price structure and their email CRM are challenging and out dated and challenging to understand. They’re also known to change their pricing structure without updating you. Other companies offer similar services without the subscription hassle and are more than willing to white label your work. I’ve been in marketing and communications for 20 years and see a lot of newbies come in kicking the tires. They need to flatten their subscription tiers and screen agencies. Seems like anybody can become an agency today, which will eventually harm the Agency business and those of us who have invested many many years in this industry as a career.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Product And service integration Is good, if you’re paying Top dollar for fulfillment.

"Large Promises, No Delivery. Not a good white label platform or marketing automation platform."
What do you like best about Vendasta?

OLD REVIEW: I like the scope of Vendasta's tools to be the best. There's a CRM, a task manager, a fully-fledged marketplace with a variety of price points and industries, and more. Vendasta's customer support is pretty good. They're very quick to answer questions and will make occasional exceptions to improve the customer experience. The biggest selling points of Vendasta are their wide array of services, their automation tools that help you easily bring new clients through the pipeline from prospect to partner, and the support for partners from the management level. EDIT: I do not like anything about Vendasta. It fulfills 0 of the promises it makes. After leaving my first negative review of Vendasta, they offered me 6 months of their team membership susbcription for free. I accepted, thinking I might as well start using more of the features and hopefully enjoying the software. Once I started digging into the platform more, though, I realized the actual marketing "automation" Vendasta offers is horrendous. For one, you can't integrate a native form on your website into their email marketing software. They also don't work with Zapier. Essentially, Vendasta promises to be an "agency in a box," but can't perform any of the necessary features (white label, pipeline management, sales support). You end up needing to pay for additional services like Mailchimp and Calendly ON TOP of Vendasta because the platform is that god d*mn awful. Not to mention, their CRM and task manager are nearly unusable. I would highly recommend a combination of GoHighLevel and Notion over Vendasta any day of the week.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Vendasta promises to do a lot of things: marketing automation, white label, CRM, and task manager. It does NONE of those things. My original review focused on the white label downfalls; I'll leave that below. This one is going to be about the rest of the mess. Vendasta is a marketing automation platform that doesn't automate much. Today, I was just told that I can't embed their meeting booking tool directly into my webpages with HTML and I can't automatically import leads from my native contact forms (Elementor) into their email marketing software. Now, I will have to pay for Mailchimp and Calendly on top of Vendasta to perform the same basic tasks. If I had GoHighLevel, this would not be a problem. Nobody should ever pay for Vendasta. I write these reviews so that their sales team can't swindle future agency owners, small and large, like they swindled me. I will not stop until Vendasta offers me early termination. I strongly encourage you to check out GoHighLevel. From what I've heard from my mentors, it seems to be the software of choice for marketing automation. I also dislike the Vendasta marketing services team. Vendasta markets itself as a white-label solution. On their home page, they write: "Find products to sell, market with ease, and fulfill under your brand. With Vendasta, you can deliver an amazing experience for your customers and truly make a difference." Moreso than their CRM, client dashboard, or their marketing automation tools, their big promise is that they provide white-label services. Thus, this review is through the lens of Vendasta as a white-label agency. Unlike a lot of other white label agencies (51 blocks, Agency Elevation) that charge you on a per-account basis (i.e. Agency Elevation charges fixed rates starting at $300 per Google Ads account), Vendasta makes you pay $6,000 upfront for access to their marketing services team and then makes you pay again by taking a % of ad spend. As a white-label agency, it's way more expensive than its competitors, but the service does not appear to be that much better. I've used their Google Ads service for one account and their social media management service for another. I've been DRASTICALLY disappointed by both. The marketing services team has dropped the ball so hard that I'm feeling compelled to update this review for a second time. The Google Search Ads copy I received on my first account read like it was written by a non-English speaker. Whatever copy wasn't pulled straight from the client's website sounded clunky and awkward. I found typos and inconsistent punctuation (dashes) as well. The campaign has been a disaster. A total disaster. The client had previously run a campaign that spent $500 in the first month and saw 17 conversions from non-branded keywords. Vendasta's team has spent $500 and seen 1 conversion. The worst part is that I've had to come in and essentially manage the campaign myself, and the marketing services team can't even follow my direct instructions. For example, I notice that most of our clicks were coming from a recipes page on our website. Naturally, I direct them to write a new ad group specifically for recipe keywords that would take visitors directly to the recipes page on the website. I provided the exact URL I wanted traffic to go to. The team came back a day later saying they created the ad group and are directing traffic to a specific recipe....WHY? Aside from not being a good idea, it's not what I asked for. Why am I paying them for this?? I told them the margin for the product was about $40. They started bidding on keywords that had CPCs of $6-7. I sent them a keyword list full of broad match keywords to replace their expensive phrase and exact match terms. It took them a week to change the keywords. On our strategy call, the PPC tech went back and forth with me when I told her I wanted to move all of the spend to shopping ads, since that's what was working before. She reasoned that "Google Ads take time to optimize," my response was: "I understand, I've run a couple of these myself, but the client got 38 conversions in their first month with a $500 campaign created by a FREE Google Ads specialist. If we spend $1,000 + $500 management and get ONE, there's not going to be a month 2. We're supposed to be the experts here." It's funny how much back and forth there is. I shouldn't have to argue with the people I'm PAYING to manage a Google ads campaign for me. If this was someone on Upwork, I would have fired them way before this could ever happen. As for social media, the posts were off-brief and I had to archive them. In our pre-launch call, I showed examples of content I liked and topics I wanted to talk about. When asked, I explicitly said, "No, I do not want to post stock photos." If the team had simply told me "we're not capable of creating those types of content," I would have said "Okay," and pulled the plug. Instead, they were agreeable and scheduled out 3 months of stock photos with cookie-cutter generic copy. Had I sold this service to a client, instead of trying it on my account, I would have been very embarrassed. The lack of communication of expectations was unprofessional and disappointing. There seem to be good strategists among the administration and management levels at Vendasta; I've spoken with them and deeply enjoyed the conversation. The talent you actually get, however, is embarassing. On our strategy call, Vendasta's PPC tech dared to tell me the campaign was running super successfully, likely reading off a script, after I spent the first 15 minutes talking to the account manager about why the campaign WASN'T doing well. I wish the same talent that's present at the management level existed at the execution level. I expected more premium services because they're priced much higher than other white-label agencies. Unfortunately, it feels like working with someone overseas from Fiverr or Upwork -- lots of oversight is required. I will likely not be renewing, or downgrading to the most basic package, for year 2. It seems like Vendasta doesn't know what it's trying to be. It's priced like HighLevel and has many of the same features, but it markets itself like a white-label solution. As a HighLevel competitor, it lacks some key features like a funnel builder and a white-label dashboard. As a white-label agency, it's more expensive for work that isn't any better. What is Vendasta's unique value proposition supposed to be?

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vendasta helps me fulfill SEO. For example, I spent days interviewing SEO specialists on Upwork. Thanks to Vendasta, I can hire someone through one of their white-label partners, and provide an excellent service.

"A horrible white-labeled solution for marketing agencies"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

The Snapshot reports were very convenient in identifying where our agency could help clients the most. Easy to understand/read grading system that non-marketers can understand.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Vendasta's pricing and marketplace solutions take nearly all of the profitability out of scaling a marketing agency. The quality of service from these white-labeled solutions was sub-par, and usually left our clients wanting for more.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed to outsource marketing solutions for our clients, and a way to scale our operations. I did not realize any benefits through working with them, as the service providers were not high enough quality to satisfy real-life business owners.

"I wouldn't recommend Vendasta, because it SHOULD BE A SECRET! It's a super power"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

Holistically the platform, that provides every tools to make day to day business management easier. Sales, Marketing, Scheduling, Payment and Invoicing, all of them are connected to create a seamless experience and make life at work easier. And the support team is great!

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Some essential features like products and package sorting and management are missing. Open signups are not a thing anymore which makes the acquisition side of things a little more difficult.

Absolutely have nothing good to say about this company!

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

When getting onboarded I expressed that the client I was working with was not going to have their website online immediately. After discussing that the website was not online yet I was assured there was no problem and yet I was charged for the next month's fees though we never used the services ppreviously paid for!!!!

What do you like best about Vendasta?

The system itself seemed to work well and promised so much with regards to service offerings.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Went to pay and despite having a UK bank account there system wouldn't process the payments. As Tide supply a Mastercard, they wouldn't take it. "Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. They do not care about customer success."
What do you like best about Vendasta?

I do not like any of their over priced vendor products.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Their customer service is toxic. Not willing to listen to customer concerns and cater to each unique customer experience. They do not hold their "Vendors" responsible for their product quality. Their membership levels are ridiculous. They waive certain levels higher like they work and you will make more money off of it but really you will be on the hook for it and they are trash products that don't work.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zero. I actually lost a 52K a year customer for life because of their marketing and advertising products for online ads. I was promised results and they delivered subpar ads with ZERO conversions and I lost one of my valued clients due this. They sell this as an Enterprise solution and "AGENCY IN A BOX" but it is FAR from that. I was better off writing my own ads and strategy instead of relying on this middle man platform for help my campaigns. You are much better off with Hubspot Marketplace or even FIVERR or People Per Hour to get things done.

"Not a good experience...can you rate lower than a zero?"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

The concept is great until you look under the 'hood'. They seem to have a wide variety of products/services, but that's where the positives end.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Most white lable partners are not 'partners' at all. That is very much the case with Vendasta. I had perused their offerings to compare to our current offerings. At first glance, I didn't like their packaging. Further investigation showed horrible pricing that would have cut profitability to nil--just way too expensive for a white lable partner. So, I decided to stick with our current partners. I did like their Reputation Management program and spoke with one of their reps about the need of the client. He confirmed it would be a good fit for them and gave it a try for that one client. Big mistake. First, it took forever to set up the account. Second, I get into the program and learn that it will be double the cost from what I was told to do exactly what was needed--which had been explained up front. I'm not going to charge the client double the amount, so I lose money on the transaction. I ask to cancel the order and just got a run-around. Typical--another white lable partner who doesn't realize that they are an extension of your brand and simply don't care.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

None--I had several conversations with a couple of their sales people and decided to sample them for one program. I was told a program would be a good solution for the client's issue. However, I was not told that it would take purchasing multiple programs to accomplish the task, thus doubling the cost. THey refused to give a refund. They are not 'in it' to help anyone grow their business. They exist because they know sales is the toughest part of the industry. They want to feed off of your sales and pay you pennies on the dollar.

"Absolutely abysmal reseller services"
What do you like best about Vendasta?

The idea is pretty much the only thing I like about Vendasta now. They used to have great SEO and local products and now it's just overpriced outsourced garbage.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

-Huge paywall for anything worth anything (like websites and automation) -Terrible customer service that lies to you -Salespeople who will blow up your phone every month for a year if you sign up on anything and then ghost you as soon as you put your credit card in -Removed all of the SEO offerings they had before, probably only offering them to the people paying 1k / mo. -The software is clunky and terrible. I'm a very tech savvy marketer, and I had trouble even buying a single product or adding it to my shop.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sales scalability for marketing agencies, customer service, reputation management. I realized the benefit of shopping around. Plenty of great other companies to use (like thehoth.com).

"Expensive Setup Costs and Outsourcing."
What do you like best about Vendasta?

I love that they're a Canadian company that is looking to help agency's across Canada to grow.

What do you dislike about Vendasta?

Pricing is quite expensive. The setup of an account was $1,000.00 and the monthly cost became exponentially higher as third party vendors/apps were added. The customer service was also bad and after cancelling I was accidentally invoiced twice... They are also tailored to US customers as opposed to Canadian customers which is a bit confusing. Some of the services that are offered are only in the US.

What problems is Vendasta solving and how is that benefiting you?

Business processes are not good. There was two turnovers of staff while I used their service.
